LEGO is trying hard to become more like Disney by incorporating unnecessary long queues wherever they can

Word of warning, you cannot use two promo codes at the same time. So you can't get $80 the rollercoaster AND the dragon in the same order. l had to do a second order to get the dragon..

Order placed and dragon code obtained.  Also entered the VIP 1 million point sweepstakes.  Wouldn't let me redeem a discount code for the Technic Batmobile but I'll redeem dragon code in December.

Dragon ride option was under the VIP weekend section of rewards, if I recall.

Yeah, bought enough for the LEGO house as the present for my GF for Christmas. But had to redeem the code for the Camaro, but I have a feeling that Dragon promo code is not going to have to sit forever as BF is coming up.

Lego has already shipped my Hogwarts Express.  Not only that but they shipped the two gwp’s in a separate box.
    Go LEGO!

My Lion Knight's Castle has supposedly been shipped also.  Gwp's & Dragon Ride shipped separately.  Will believe everything has actually shipped when I can see actual movement by the shipping company.  Last few big orders like this have sat in the Lego warehouse & then Fedex depot for days before actual movement.  And with it being a holiday week I'm hoping for the best but expecting to not see anything arrive until after Thanksgiving weekend.

@karrit.  Crap, I hadn’t even considered the holiday shipping.   But still, my orders usually stay ‘In Process’ for some time before even going to the warehouse where they sit for days.  I get tagged with ‘Contact customer service’ (A LOT).  Then the order magically gets approved the next morning, but because of that I’m pushed way back in the queue.  So, with that said, even the thought of the holiday shipping snags wont rain on my parade this time.   LEGO has made an improvement and I will hold my hopes high and celebrate it.  (for now)

    Go Lego!

It's nice to see that they are shipping the small GWPs separate when a large heavy set is ordered.  Maybe they were finally tired of complaints about the small items getting squashed during shipping.

Apparently my order which includes Hogwarts Express and all three GWPs is shipping in three boxes.

Im a bit surprised that the LEGO House promo is still available. I mean Im not too surprised as it was a high threshold to get the prom, but still surprised LEGO had enough to last...

Well it looks like mine are being shipped via UPS with an estimated delivery of Friday.  But it also only says label created at this time.  Same for my order from Kohl's.  Part of my Target order is showing delivery on Thursday from OnTrac.

One box also for Atari 2600, Christmas Tree, 3 Brickheadz, Succulents, and 2 promos in the same box.   I was gonna pick up the VIP baking cookie sheet for the library but I see it's out already on Sunday.

Update got my order today, and all is ok. Dragon ride is in yellow box, so not as durable as regular boxes.

Some people were hoping the rides would be in the beautiful Bricktober/Blocktober boxes. Unfortunately, my guess was correct about the yellow generic box. Oh well.

Is the dragon ride a GWP? I just ran across these and absolutely LOVE them, just not currently sure how one gets their grubby paws on them?
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,421
You had to redeem 2400 points on Saturday and Sunday. This weekend for 2400 points you can redeem for the Pirate ride.

@Switchfoot55 check the VIP Rewards Center ASAP, the dragon ride might still be available for redemption. The pirate ride will be available Friday. There are 2 more (space and unicorn rides), but no hints if or when those will be available.

If you missed out on the Dragon one or will miss any of the others (or the last two don't actually get provided to the US market), you CAN find them on Bricklink from Asian sellers, who got them for this year's Bricktober event there.  They will set you back a decent amount each, though, plus higher than normal shipping.

I've recently spent my VIP points, so I'll have to really consider which of these I want to grab. The dragon was appealing, but I think I'd lean more toward the Space offering. OR, I just BL the parts and call it good.

Even this old Pirates lover can't be bothered with the Pirate ride GWP.

Welp, two boxes.  Gwp’s in one box and LARGE set in another… Fedex had been delivering the last few items I’d ordered.  These are coming lasership.  🤞

My three boxes are coming UPS.

Got pretty much everything in one box, the Elf promo box was a bit squashed, the LEGO house one was in great condition. Same with the Camaro

I received mine today....I ordered a couple hours into the the VIP offers and it only had to go from Chicago to NE Iowa....but my 7 boxes were shipped USPS...including an Atari 2600....and NO packing material....they just used the other small boxes as packing to keep the large box from moving.  Obviously the smaller boxes are squeezed an inch or two thinner.
  • leetshoeleetshoe Member Posts: 262
l got my first order yesterday and my second order today. Though Lego never told me they shipped the second one, it just showed up at the door. Both orders had the add-on bonuses in a separate box.

Strangely, I got the back ordered items today but still waiting for the rest of my order.

Those that have received their packages already....did you get a physical invoice?  I searched 3 times thru everything and never found one.  CS was asking for it for a return/damage.  This was the first time I haven't received one...didn't know if this was a new thing.

Lately, I have not been receiving an invoice in the box.  My last two orders I received within the last three days, I did not receive an invoice in the box.  However, I do receive an invoice via email each time.
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,421
My last few orders have had no paper invoice either. You should have had one emailed to you. Can't you print that?
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 836
Yeah...I didn't know if this was something new that just started.  The customer service rep. said "No...there should be an invoice in the box."  It was a 20 minute explanation of why I needed the physical invoice for return shipping and nothing else could be done without it.  Which puzzled me.  And finally, she transferred me to someone else and they handled it in 3 minutes and just told me to keep the set and they'll send me another one and give me a $20 credit.

Got my Roller Coaster a few days early yesterday.  It must not be selling well for some reason because it has a "Do not sell before July 1st" sticker on it.

I would love to get one, but the issue is its  really a 'one' design set, I mean you can try to redo it to another roller coaster design, but the whole thing is built around the loop, and not exactly cheap either.

I understand.  Everyone who MOC'd the first one tried
building a loop, so I see why they included a loop on this one.  You're right though, the first one was a lot more versatile and you can't do a whole lot with the loop coaster.  I think it will look great once built, especially paired with the first coaster, but the build doesn't look much fun, whereas the original coaster had a really interesting build.
  • autolycusautolycus Member Posts: 1,430
I’ll disagree a little bit about the original Coaster. I didn’t think the build was that great. It was fine, but I got extremely tired of shoving round bricks onto technic axles. Really, really tired of it.

Many of the discounted sets appear to be around 30% off. CNY Ice rink for 84, CNY 'Vignette' set for 56, Vette Speed champion set for 21 farmers market van is down to 32.. One of the potter class sets, I think it was the charms class, for 21 I think, so it appears many sets are like 30% or more off, I think the hoth droid set is on sale, same with Anakin and Obin Wan's duel... not sure if those were also 30% off

Yeah same here, at least I got my points redeemed for the pirate ship and keychain. I added a bunch of stuff to my cart, but I could not access the cart, it was missing form the top right hand corner of the screen. When I refreshed I got caught in the waiting room hell.
