Not a lot there. I was kinda hoping the coins would make an appearance again as I still need the gold one.

Looks like the same BF discounts already available.

I have decided against the discounted VIP certificates as they expire in 30 days and there isn't going to be much in stock during that period. I would rather wait until 2022 and use my points on something new then even if it doesn't stretch quite as far.

$5 Certificates show valid for 60 days.  Will be good for January new releases.  I got some for in store.

Not much to write home about with these Cyber Monday sales. I think Zavvi actually has the best deals of most of the sites I visited. I should not be too surprised. LEGO is a product in demand right now and not seeing discounts during such times should be expected, but really one 'large' set, the Birds of Paradise plant, being discounted?!
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,679
sounds like it's the same offers than here, "big" sets being discounted are birds of paradise and that large city set no one wanted. otherwise brickheads, dots, vidiyo and those 2D portraits of popular characters.

Ended up redeeming the max 4 of the $5 VIP certs.  I'll probably use them at midnight on New Year's Day for the new CMF series coming out.

Weird situation here... I've recently placed an order for the Create Together Art set, the Fab 5 Loft, the (backordered) Santa's visit and got a couple of GWPs. Fedex left the package by the door as usual, and I just stacked it with another 5 big orders that I still hadn't opened. When I finally got around to opening everything, I had no idea what should or shouldn't be in each box and what was still back ordered.

Today I decided to go over all my recent orders from [email protected] and noticed that I should have received the Fab 5 (Santa's Visit is still waiting for new stock) in the same box as the Create Together one. Problem is I don't remember seeing it and can't seem to find it anywhere, even after checking all my storage places.

I was about to reach out to LEGO customer service, but decided to back my claim by getting the package weight from Fedex's tracking info to show that the set couldn't possibly have been there. Except that Fedex shows a 4+ kg weight and Create Together is under 2kg. Even with the freebies and packaging, it doesn't add up to 4kg - unless Fab 5 was indeed in there.

None of the boxes seemed to have been opened and I think I would have noticed if one had a lot of room left. Besides, I don't believe a porch pirate would have gone through the trouble of carefully opening a box, stealing only one set and taping it back.

Any ideas of what might explain this? Should I contact LEGO anyway?

Not to make light of your situation @preuss, but you know your LEGO addiction is bad when you can't even remember what you got in a recent shipment.

@preuss, did your shipping confirmation show that they were packed together?  During the 2x VIP weekend prior to Black Friday, I ordered the UCS A-wing and got the GWP and also redeemed the VIP camera.  None of them were backordered but the GWP and camera shipped at the same time while the A-wing shipped slightly later.  It turns out that the GWP and camera were shipped separately and their respective packing lists reflected that.  Do your packing lists show your missing item(s)?  That's probably the best way to tell if something should've arrived in the box.

Thank you, this is a great idea. I'm so used to ignoring the packing sheets that it didn't cross my mind. I have reviewed all of them and realised that I had actually ordered two of the Create Together sets. I guess @pxchris is right... I do have a problem if I don't even know what I have ordered :-D

Long story short, I am in fact missing an entire box that Fedex has marked as delivered. Now this could have been a Fedex mix up, or it could have been taken by a porch pirate - it would be a first for me, but it is possible. I've contacted LEGO to see what they say - I'm pretty sure Fedex would just reply "too bad, you took the risk by releasing the signature"

The timing is almost exactly the same as the Elf's Clubhouse last year. It went OOS less than a few days after it went on sale. Then didn't come back in stock until the first part of December. I still managed to get it in hand before Christmas. Hopefully the same is true for everyone else trying to get a hold of it!

In case anyone is interested, 2 GWPs have returned… the Gryffindor dorm GWP for Harry Potter purchases over $100 and the Tatooine Homestead GWP for Star Wars purchases over $85… Unfortunately there are no Harry Potter sets in stock that I need that meet the criteria but I think I’ll probably pick up the Bad Batch Shuttle with some VIP points…

Do any of you know how long the account wide purchasing limit stays in place? I purchased 2 roses months ago. Both were gifts. I have tried purchasing another for myself, but the order is promptly canceled due to the limits.

Not sure on this. I know it expires as I bought something I think 6 months after a  previous purchase and it did not get cancelled. I'm just worried that if that happens too much LEGO just cancels my account or something like that (plus Im worried about losing prom and VIP reward codes if I have an order cancelled) so Im not one to test out how long the limit lasts.

I didn’t realize they took it that seriously. I guess just goes to show you don’t buy Items as gifts.

"Only the best is good enough"....except when it comes to their Shop at Home ecommerce site.

They should prevent products from adding to your cart if you are over a purchasing limit.  Instead, they leave it a mystery until they cancel your order (which may include other products you are not over the limit on).

Even having an official written policy on if and when purchasing limits are reset would be better than what we have.

    [frustrated rant over]

I've seen it posted elsewhere that the purchasing limits are lifetime and only change if Lego ups the limit.  It also only applies to the online orders so if one is fortunate enough to have access to a Lego store, Park or Discovery Center then more quantities can be purchased where available.  I've personally never tested the theory but would love to be able to purchase more of some of the items like the last two Xtra packs and more Roses.  I'm not going to jeopardize an order to test the limits though.

At LEGO.com, I have bought two of a set (limit 2) and then bought 2 of the same the same set later without issue (no banning, no cancellation of the order). It may have been a lifetime limit in the past (and maybe it still is with certain in demand sets), but I have seen what appears to be a reset of the limit. I just do not know what the 'time out' is.

I do get annoyed that these GWP's that are specific as to the type of purchase turn up as if it is something I get most of like Harry Potter, I already have gotten sets that would otherwise qualify me.

Well I came here to say that the Home Alone set was available at [email protected] but then it quickly went out of stock again. Luckily I was able to call my local store and reserve a copy to pick up at lunch.

I've happened to be to my local LEGO store three times in the past two weeks. In each case, they've had at least one Home Alone House. So, if you're in an area with a store and looking for the set, it would be worth checking in.

(They've also had AT-ATs every single time, Wreaths, Santa's Sleigh, Santa's Visit, and just about every other hard to find set that I've been hearing about recently)

Yeah, if you went to the one at Alderwood, they had two, but one was spoken for! the only set they seem to run out of quickly right now is the Titanic of all things

I have not seen this anywhere, but I checked my cart at LEGO and #40451 Tatooine Homestead is in my cart as a GWP. Looks like you need more than $80 of SW sets and can be combined with the double points on #75312 Boba Fett’s Starship

    Museum?

Cashed in my four $5 VIP thingies that I got discounted on Black Friday or whatever.  8 CMFs coming my way.  Bit frustrated over the lack of promotion calendar and the kerfluffle over the availability (or lack thereof) of the new Lego store promotional set.

Ugh!  I was hoping for a unique IDEAS set to buy with X-mas gift cards...and I'm welcomed with a Sonic the Hedgehog. Blah.  It seems even a little 'iffy' to call it an Ideas theme.  Doesn't see much thought went into it....and at $69.99!?  Even at $49.99, I'd think to myself, "I'll hold off and see if I can find at least a 20-30%off discount before buying...and then it'd be just because I have all the other Ideas sets.  This seems better suited in the Mario Bros. theme at all retail discount stores.

The Year of the Tiger GWP is live … Interestingly the lunar new year traditions set is not on [email protected] in the US as of 11:01 PM… I had just seen it on my wish list an hour ago but it’s been removed from the site it seems. I wonder if they were unable to get them in stock in time…

edit: It’s now showing up again but as coming soon. I was able to get the other Chinese New Year set…

All this "is it available now" or "isn't it" "has it vanished or not" "oh it's back again, click on it quick before it's gone". At my age LEGO shopping at Shop at Home on the day of a new release with a desirable GWP is just the ultimate adrenalin rush.🙄
