The  newest X-Wing and First Order Imperial Guard set turned out to be the perfect amount to get to $75.  Glad to get a nice freebie without having to jump through hoops like Escape the Space Slug a few years back...

Double VIP aren’t currently populated in my cart for Star Wars items. If you’ve placed orders already I’d check to see if double points were applied.

Drat. Too bad the Y-Wing isn't discounted. So now I have to debate waiting until Christmas for that one. There are some other sets on sale that will at least get me the Hoth promo...

I was on the fence about Vader's Castle, but today it was $26 cheaper, plus I had $10 in VIP credit and with double VIP points and the Hoth set, it was a no brainer!

It's a good set. A friend has it and my son got a kick out of the play features, so I knew we would be picking up a copy eventually.

I’m curious why you would use that credit when you would be getting double points on the purchase. Am I missing something?

Did anybody get double VIP points like they were supposed to?

I haven't received any points yet, but my order already shows as shipped

I got double points for most of my items but not for everything.  I'll give it until tomorrow before I get in touch with support.  I placed my order online when right when the sale went live last night.
  • FizyxFizyx Member Posts: 1,364
I got double points for everything but two things, and I ordered last night around 12:30 pm EST.  Not sure if I should call support tomorrow, or let things settle down and call them next week...  They've always been good to me, and I'm sure they're swamped >.<

It is best to not use VIP points on promo days, but some people might only ever buy items with 2x VIP or might just not have the cash to buy something otherwise. In those cases, “best” might not be an option. Otherwise, yeah, save your VIP points for things that aren’t earning 2x.

I had the missing points reissued and, yes, the first thing the support agent said to me was I wasn't the first one he's helped with this.

    Placed my order.

Then got cancelled by Lego because I went above the purchase limits on two key chains.

    Whatever.

Then why would you allow me to add them and pay for them?
They should have already sent me a warning like Amazon in the product screen.

I was going to buy 10 of each for end of the year giveaways at my school, but based on previous orders, I apparently crossed a threshold I did not know existed.

I did the same thing for my students when they had Emmet, wildstyle and Badcop key chains for $1 each.  Luckily, they did  not have a limit then.  You should try calling them and placing an order.  I can see them letting you if you explain to them why you are ordering so many.  Good luck!

$1.24 is a very affordable price for a nice Lego item!

That could be the message in a Hallmark card: “My love, I couldn’t begin to tell you how much you mean to me. But if I had to try, I would say right around triple VIP points at LEGO shop@home. Happy Aniversary.” I think this group has found its true calling.

Can anyone shed some light on a rumor I heard that the poster being given out at physical Lego stores over the weekend was different than the poster mailed from S@H?

I heard that the one given out in store looked like a lightsaber when rolled up. Just trying to find out if there's any truth to it or not.

^^ Yup, true. I got the small one from S@H ( #5005888 ) and the red lightsaber one from the LEGO store ( #5005887 ).
  • SithLord196SithLord196 Member Posts: 1,161
    That's a little disappointing.

Are the lightsaber posters just a bigger version of the smaller one that was from S@H?

If not, I guess I need to give my local store a call and hope they have some left.

They are the same except with the back printing and the aspect ratio is stretched. The small poster is 10x13” and the large is 24x36”.

That's actually a bit of a relief. They're probably something I can pass on then.

Considering the display cabinet I'm planning to get for the 20th Anniversary sets, the smaller poster probably works out better anyway. I can put it in a frame and display it on top of the cabinet as opposed to needing to find a large space on the wall.

What is interesting is that I really liked the promo Hoth micro build set they were giving away, but I didn't actually like $75 worth of any other Lego to get it.  It would be cool to see Lego come out with  a Star Wars series of micro builds....just not as a promo, however.

I don't know - but I'd certainly like to know when we'll get a minifig-version of The Last Jedi, Rogue One, Solo or the Rise of Skywalker.

I would have loved this set to be sold directly. Preferably at a retailer in the USA with a limited run, numbered and released in the middle of the workday for most folks =D

Speaking of shiny foil stickers and store credit cards... I'm willing to trade a Benny or Sweet Mayhem brickheadz for the space toy set, and I'll throw in a teal brick separator. PM me if interested.

I don’t suppose there will be any #10266 left in stock on June 5 so I can get the rocket ride GWP with it.
  • autolycusautolycus Member Posts: 1,432
I know there are references to the space rocket ride GWP and June 5, but it’s official, and with $99 purchase.

That sucks. Maybe with a $50 or $75 purchase. $100 just feels too much for that GWP.

Considering the lunar lander is 99.99, I think I will not have an issue getting the GWP. Otherwise I would just buy 100 in PaB online to get to the amount.

New details about a Space Patch gift with purchase of the Lunar Lander set. Promo will run June 1-9 (in the US at least), or as supplies last.

Any word on “castle Byers” mini build that was only with a couple stores at signing event?   Will it get a wider or store specific release when stranger things set goes non-VIP only?
  • SithLord196SithLord196 Member Posts: 1,161
Do we know how quickly the keychain for #10265 Ford Mustang went out of stock, as the patch is a similar item?

I am quite interested in both promotions and #10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander, so would obviously prefer to stack the promos as opposed to making separate purchases for both. Unfortunately there's no guarantee the patch will last until June 5th, so I figure the best comparison to help gauge what I should do is the keychain.
  • autolycusautolycus Member Posts: 1,432
I ordered the Mustang on March 8 and received the keychain, the license plate sticker, and the Marvel bricktober pack. The Mustang was released March 1. So at least in the US, the keychain lasted a minimum of a full week. If that's true for the patch, you'll be fine waiting for the space rocket ride promo. I will personally prioritize the ride and take my chances on the patch.

From what I've heard, there were only 400 made, they were only available at the midnight signing release event, and there are no plans to make more.  On the positive side, the only part that is unique to the set is the stickers.  No printed parts or special pieces that you'll have to get if you want to Bricklink it.
