    C'mon guys, it's tradition! Idk, I think it's fun lol. The mall by me hasn't been packed these past few Black Fridays. Probably because stores have been getting better and better with what time they open or something.

    I thought malls were dying anyway. Maybe Black Friday will be like an ordinary Saturday used to be. It’s not like Walmart where you can get trampled.

    DO, Ferris Wheel, and Firehouse HQ are some of the sets that will be discounted for Black Friday per the Lego Store employee I spoke to today. He told me they were asked to pull them from the shelves for the event fwiw.

    I would say call to confirm first they have them. No sense in 'killing yourself' only to find out they have none of those sets in stock. Im pretty sure the store I usually go to have not had at least a couple of those sets in some time

    He was referring to Black Friday weekend unless I misunderstood. I agree with @madforLEGO above. There are 2 stores within an hour drive and I called both about the Ferris Wheel. One wasnt willing to ship one to me as it’s off the shelf. I was just going to try and get it this weekend with the Double VIP to avoid the craziness. The other didn’t have one but was expecting to get a few more for Black Friday. I don’t know if they will or not, but it has me suspicious that S & H may be holding some back form the website if they are telling stores to do it. 
    Also, I have noticed there’s a fair amount of variation with the stores just in my state alone. I would certainly check with your local store first about holding the sets back and availability prior to Black Friday.

    As per Customer Service, Ninjago Minigures are not available this VIP double point weekend and only start Black Friday.

    @madforLEGO totally agree.  I was going to call next Tuesday or Wednesday to try to scope out the situation with stock.

    Darn, it would be perfect for the Firehouse HQ to be on sale this weekend.
    We have a LEGO store opening here in Louisville this Friday and I was planning on going there for the firehouse on Saturday. I don't even care if it's on sale since I have $210 in VIP points saved up which I'd probably spend $150 of, getting me the Firehouse for $200 and $400 worth of VIP points. If they can't even put them on the shelves until next weekend though, that ruins my whole plan. I would really prefer to not go on Black Friday and double VIP would sweeten the deal. I'll most likely go for the grand opening this Friday to scope it out.

    Anyone else having trouble at shop.lego.com? Banner across the top shows nothing in cart, and if I mouse over My Account, it prompts me to log in, but I can go to past orders and view them. But clicking on "My Bag" does nothing.

    Close out, clear your browser. then go back to [email protected], do not logon. Instead add something into the cart, and -in the cart- sign in at the VIP prompt in the cart. That should bring up your cart, and  hopefully the contents in it (or let you add).
    If you had contents in the cart previous, they may not appear until after you start the check out

    Thanks. I managed it by guessing at the web address for the bag/cart, https://shop.lego.com/en-US/cart, and then once I'd been there once it seemed fine and the button for the cart/bag works again. Can't decide whether to place another order for a Diagon Alley for investment (got one already for myself) and perhaps a firehouse. Can't decide if I want firehouse for myself. I've told myself (and my husband) that he's right, we don't have space in our townhouse to store sets for a year or longer for investment...)

    I like the Turbine, but I'll like it more on sale (hopefully sometime next year or if Walmart gets them and loses their minds and puts it up for 40% off). When there is a GWP promo going on I tend to only buy enough to get the promos. I buy really large sets with Double points, which are going on now, but there are other sets I want to buy before the Wind Turbine and money is also tight with Christmas coming up.

    And today I battled my way to the MoA LEGO store and got my Ninjago Docks, double points, plus 3 GWPs; the two above and the brick-built VIP card #40178, which was a surprise.

    ^same here with promos. I think LEGO vastly over produced #40178 as my store was giving them out before after the first time it was a gift. I can't recallbrecall, but I think they just handed me a couple just for walking in the door once.

    I ordered a bunch of PF items and I'm getting Diagon Alley and the Christmas Gift.  DIdn't count on getting Diagon Alley.

    Diagon Alley no longer being added to cart.  At least in the U.S. anyway.  Placed three orders yesterday morning.  You know the drill! One to open, one to keep and one to sell for ten times its value!

    I have a funny feeling the Diagon Alley promo will be back at some point but that is just a guess. In any case, it lasted for quite a while considering it was available as a GWP before the 2x Promo with gift vignette promo started.

    Odd that Detective’s Office is just 10% off as false advertising while the Brick Bank is in fact 20% off. I already have both and don’t plan on buying more but get the bank before it’s gone, last chance

    The fishing store for 30% is interesting. probably will go for that one.Wish that we saw the RC bat tank for 30% off like overseas, I would get one of those for that price.

    Unfortunately Im only seeing sale prices once added to the cart right now.

    Ive had it done to me and it sucks because LEGO often will not tell you that they cannot fulfill the back-order. So my advice, if you ordered on back-order and then it shows out of stock, is call CS often to confirm you are getting one.

    So the items are out of stock until the day they're supposed to go on sale yeah? Lookin' at you, Ultimate Batmobile, though I hope they have that on sale tomorrow at the store already.

    Yeah that seems to be the case for the Detective’s Office and Ferris Wheel which magically came back in stock today. Fishing Store is showing it’s out of stock, but come Saturday morning I bet there will be more magic.

    I ordered the FO SD. Listed price was $127.99, but rang up full price. Guess I will have to call Lego and see whats up. Didn't want to wait until they were sold out. Wont be able to open it until Christmas..since it is one of my presents this year from the wife. 

    Does anyone know what the in store only Lego Store Doorbusters are yet? It didn't say in the ad, and wondering if anyone has any inside information to see if it will warrant a trip tomorrow. Thanks!
