I missed out on Batgirl and Robin posters :(. Luckily I was able to get the first two though.
the week I went was Batgirl. The associate threw in a Batman poster.
If I purchased a set from S@H and it arrived beat up (which I'm assuming ALL S@H orders come that way, I've never had a box NOT beaten somehow), can I replace it with a better one when I visit an actual brick and mortar store??
I purchased the new Volkswagen beetle and they threw it in a box that was too small, so they angled in the box, put a smaller box under it and then put 6 keychains and polybags on top of the Volkswagen box. So the box got a little sandwiched and the keychains made pitting holes in the front of the box...like so kid took his BB gun and shot at it...or maybe the keychains came to life and danced on the box.
On a separate note, I caved in and bought a few of the Doc Strange sets since the Batman Poly is still around and the Doc Strange set seems not long for production.
I placed 5 February orders; the 4th is still in transit and does not include any such sets, but does include another of each promo.
The March promos aren't great and I already got all the sets I wanted. I'll see if I can get more 40156 and 40165 and/or TLG adds more to sales and deals. The other sets on sale earlier are out of stock or back to full price.
Free Mini Beatle with $50 purchase (1st through 15th)
Free Friends animal tic tac toe with $20 Friends purchase (all month)
Just ordered 5 40156 and 2 40165 in case they'll let me get more 30351 doesn't hurt but isn't a big draw.
I was a bit shocked to see Disney CMF still around at clearance prices ($3.19) and the Valentine's Day vignette at 4.99.
Old sets will come up in a search as retired product. Disney CMF still says out of stock (sale price is still mentioned like a lot of out-of-stock items). Maybe they'll be kept around at least to be sold alongside other Disney merch.
buying modulars with 2x VIP (basically 10% off) makes sense, as those sets are unlikely to be on sale elsewhere. (However, I got a slightly better deal on a Brick Bank with a damaged box).
Other sets might go on sale elsewhere for at least 20% eventually. (However, I got several from S@H to have enough for the February promos)
Promos that require a specific kind of item make a cheap item of that type a very good deal.
I would not expect that exclusives will always be found for a discount; these were reduced to move their stock as they were EOL. I doubt that LEGO wants to have to discount these, contrary to what occurred this past fall. I'm guessing they will either start making less of a set (ending production earlier), or start charging the retailers more to have the exclusives (thereby stopping a retailer from dropping the price too much).
So people can assume that LEGO, or someone else, will drop these prices before they are sold out, or to move their remaining stock, but I would not bet on it, specifically if I want at least one of the set.
I remember seeing multiple comments from people that at least appeared to be in the know that the ban had a finite time limit. I'd say going from zero discounts to multiple heavy discounts in the last year is evidence enough for me.
I have to wonder if LEGO decides to cut production on sets like the Palace Cinema earlier than when they stopped the Pet Shop last year, so as to not have to discount them to deplete the rest of a stock of them.
On the 8th, ordered another 5 40156 and 2 40165. Had enough of a PayPal balance. (last summer, when I used a mix of balance and debit card, my card treated it as a foreign transaction; it's a moot point whether TLG fixed that.
On the 9th received the 1st order like that and placed the 3rd.
Placed one order on my lunch break, the other 4 after 11, some very close to midnight
I still want want to know what is happening with the Star Wars or droid line with the connectable bases.
#40161 at $23.99 - not quite worth it at $29.99, I got a few when they were $24.99, so I'm very happy to see it back on sale again.
Many of the same items still listed in Sales and Deals weeks or months later
Will see what's still there in April
#40156 is Friends branded; will it count towards the animal figurine tic tac toe promo?
I'm planning to go to the LEGO Store soon and if I don't see any special sales there I'm thinking #41301 Puppy Parade, #41307 Olivia's Creative Lab and 2 large PaB cups
#40153 Birthday Table Decoration is back and at $4.99
I'm going to the LEGO Store later today and I'll see what I get there first.
I think LEGO massively miscalculated on the popularity of a Mini-doll super hero line. I like the premise only because you can have them interact with the Friends line, but not sure how many kids are doing that.
LEGO store near me had the Wedding toppers for 4.99 still so anything is possible.
The #30546 Krypto Saves The Day promo ran longer than expected. I figured that's because TLG had plenty of the polybag left, but maybe because they had trouble moving the DC Superhero Girls sets. Personally, I like minidolls but am not much for superheroes - others might feel the same or the other way around.
LEGO Store had 8 wedding, 5 What Am I?, 5 birthday, including what the employees got from the back. They were also out of butterfly organizer. I didn't count on it when planning my purchase, but I'm not complaining. Also, the manager let me get multiple promos with a big enough purchase, but only 2 of each.

Updated the BrickBuildr PaB wall page for Eastview - http://www.brickbuildr.com/index.php/view-store/?store=94
I took pictures, but it was more of a pain than I thought matching them to the correct part of the wall, and identifying some parts. Also, I missed the couple columns on the right because someone was standing there at the time and I forgot to take a picture once they left. Maybe a grid to write in would be easier after all.
Some parts on the wall weren't listed, let's see if the site operator sees my email.
Bin 6,6 has Bright Light Orange 1x1 Plate Modified with Tooth Horizontal (part 49668)
Bin 8,4 has Dark Bluish Gray 1x2 Plate Modified with Towball on Side (part 14417)
Bin 8,5 has Light Bluish Gray 2x2 Turntable Top [part 3679] and Bin 9,5 has the white base [part 3680]
Bin 9,6 has white round 1x1 tiles with an eye pattern (98138pb007)
Bin 12,4 has white 2x1 curved slope [11477]
11,5 has a 1x2-2x4 inverted bracket in white [99207]
A bin near the right edge, perhaps 11,5, has sand green brick 1x1 with 2 studs on opposite sides [47905]
Sometimes I changed them to something similar, sometimes I left the previous entry.
If a part was still the same I didn't bother, enough of a pain to edit the wall as is.
#41307 is on backorder and I don't feel like waiting for it.
Mom often likes small LEGO sets to use as gifts; she'll take #41302 #41303 #41304.
#41305 has the best part value amongst small Friends sets.
#41233 and 3 $4.99 sale items gets me just over $50.
#41133 is the only good deal I see on what's in stock, since it's otherwise a Target exclusive and not on sale there like other Amusement Park sets. I'll think about it.
Thought about another #40161, but it's back at full price
Not for about 3 years now, or more. That also only occurred around the pre BF event if I remember correctly

Not seeing the mini vw beetle anymore only more of the police helicopter
Fairly certain we have had two double VIP point events so far this year.
