So what did you guys buy? Nothing really pleased me, except for the City Transport a little.

I got the Imperial Flagship, my son loves Pirates and this will work well with Queen Anne's Revenge.

What's TLGs price match policy? Two sets I bought within the last week from S@H are now cheaper.

I'm strongly considering the imperial flagship. It seemed to pricey at 180 USD, but with the discount, plus 10% off, it's very tempting.
  • Rollo_TomassiRollo_Tomassi Member Posts: 113
I called them and they price matched my SW Tantive IV set from last Saturday, as well as the Winter Village Toy Shop I ordered on Tuesday. They also are sending me a 2nd Holiday Set for free. Lego Rocks!
In gratitude I ordered the Imperial Flagship and MMV and used my VIP points to knock $45 off the price. So I'm getting each of those for roughly $80 apiece. Noice!

I ordered the Cars 2 racing rivalry, one of the few Cars sets I'd yet to buy, a second Public Transport (couldn't resist at that life), an Imperial Flagship (I recently bought one at the LEGO Store, but have not gotten around to build it, so I will return that one) and a Tantive IV. I have very few Star Wars sets, but this ship looks awesome and hard to resist at $112.

I'm surprised it took until 8:30am for someone to post this, I noted this in the Black Friday sale thread last night...
Usually when a set is listed as sold out or 'Check for product availability' it is gone for good.. I know when I have called reps before for something like that they usually say "Why did they do that? It is gone"

The site was hammered last night, I barely got my order in for 2 Emerald nights, and I picked up a Imperial Flagship. Good deals, then noticed they gave me the Black Friday specials with the purchases, and the extra 10% with the EN's, which made it nicer.
Wonder if these were also sale priced in the stores as well...
  • andystarandystar Member Posts: 275
Just got the Imperial Flagship, its been going from "Sold Out" to "Call for Availability". I keep refreshing about every 10min and finally it had "Add to Bag". Bang, got it.
  • kylejohnson11kylejohnson11 Member Posts: 508
@madforlegos sale price was in store as well. I was able to stack with my 20% off.
  • AlczervikAlczervik Member Posts: 93
yeah i got the imperial too, i wanted the emeralds but it was not to be, i told myself last night i would not buy any legos today but i ended up spending over 400 dollars

    ^^ Yikes!
  • DavidRod8DavidRod8 Member Posts: 143
I spend way too much money, got 2 ships, 2 starwars, plus then went to the store and got 4 emerald nights (and a fire brigade)... at these prices I need to stock up :)
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
    ^^ So far I haven't spent a dime. I've already spent $1,500 in the last 2-3 months. :)
  • andystarandystar Member Posts: 275
I just got an "Out of Stock" email from LEGO for the Imperial Flagship order I placed at 8:30am EST. Anyone else get a similar email?

Strange since it was available for at least another 3 hours online after I ordered.
  • prevereprevere Member Posts: 2,923
I was able to purchase 2 Imperial Flagships this morning while it was still available. Then I got the LEGO out of stock email a few hours later. I'll still get them, right? It'll just take forever, I assume...

First time using S@H around the crazy holiday season.

I got an order for 2 Emerald nights and one order for an Imperial flagship... both are in 'process' right now. I have learned with LEGO do not count on getting the item until the shipping notification occurs...
These past few days has put a dent in my credit cards again, but could not pass up the EN prices.....

I thought the 25% off was good all weekend, but it is gone from shop at home???
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
25% was only for certain sets and they already pulled the sold out sets out of the sales and deals.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
Yea, I see them now... :)
  • pumperxpumperx Member Posts: 106
I got republic dropship, imperial flagship but missed out emerald night. I paid full MSRP $250 for republic dropship when it first came out, simply can't resist it when it was on sale for $170 this morning.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
The question is, what would you do with another one?

That is my only problem with buying more than one of a set, there are SO many other sets to get, why have two of anything?

^Unless you're into the parts for Moc's and such. Getting the extra sets to part out on discount it the way to go while keeping one as a display model.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
For a brief time it appears that the sets that were sold out earlier were back up tonight. I ordered a few more Emerald nights, but figured the order may not go through, but it did until I see the order status as 'customer service' and the Emerald nights on 'backorder' so I am guessing I will not get those.

Customer service status doesn't mean the order didn't go through. It's often in reference to problems with billing (I.e. billing address doesn't match).
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
Well according to the order status I see, they are on backorder, since I know my credit card works (as they otherwise would not allow the transaction to occur) I am guessing it is due to the site allowing purchase of a set no longer available, as it is listed as 'Sold out', not 'on backorder' in the item listing on LEGO's site.

Imperial Flagship back in stock online LEGO S@H
  • DavidRod8DavidRod8 Member Posts: 143
I placed 4 orders yesterday morning, 2 of them show "shipped" while the 2 other say "in process" they were all placed within 30 minutes of each other... not sure why 2 shipped and the other 2 didn't..
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
^^ LEGO must have gotten a ton of orders, and 30 minutes meant thousands of sales.
  • brickupdatebrickupdate Member Posts: 1,020
2 hours ago, Imperial Flagship was back in stock, and I resisted buying another one because I placed an order first thing Friday morning. 30 minutes ago I get an email from LEGO telling me that they are canceling my order from Friday morning because they are out of Flagships! I am on hold with them on the phone now.
  • pookiepookie Member Posts: 158
Well looks like we are both on hold cause the same thing just happen to me.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
Yeah.. it seems LEGO should start being a bit more proactive with their out of stock notifications as it seems like they tend to sell more than they have.
To be fair this could be due to people leaving stuff in their carts AND their site always crashing, or having other difficulties due to large sales that occur... Can only imagine what the Christmas sale will cause.... Plus I am kinda suprised their still are Fire Brigades available... this may be due to that fact that not everyone wants a fire Dept, and perhaps the issues that they had with the one run of Fire Brigades, but it will be interesting if these make an appearance on their Christmas sale at 50% off...
  • andystarandystar Member Posts: 275
@madforlegos Is the after xmas sale instore and online? Hmmm, maybe its time to start an new sale thread for post-xmas.

I believe it is on Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day usually, if I remember correctly... Anyone else remember when it was?
  • bmwlegobmwlego Member Posts: 820
Yes, I think it was on Christmas Eve and if not definitely Christmas night.
  • brickupdatebrickupdate Member Posts: 1,020
Last year it started on the evening of Dec 24th for the US. Last year, there were lots of sets listed that were already sold out before the discounted prices went live, such as Green Grocer. People felt they had missed out, when really they never had a chance for them.
  • kylejohnson11kylejohnson11 Member Posts: 508
@brickupdate @bmwlego do the in stores prices get marked down on Christmas Eve last year or on the 26th?
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836

The GG set was never put on a pre-Christmas sale (e.g., Black Friday) that I saw last year. I guess that indicates that there will likely be other nice sets currently not on sale that may pop up as a great deal on Christmas/Christmas Eve. I guess I will keep my eyes open a bit earlier this year.

Green Grocer was in the Christmas Eve sale, but it was was already sold out, so it showed as discounted (Could have sworn it was 50% off, but cannot remember). I remember because everyone was complaining they did not get a chance to get one, but they were long gone before that sale (sold out around Thanksgiving, same as the Cafe Corner before it, which is why I am surprised the Fire Brigade is around still)

i had my Emerald Night in my cart before the sale began, then i closed it as quickly as i could, maybe 12:15? got my order confirmation, then later i got an email saying the EN was backordered. i just hope LEGO will manufacture enough to satisfy those of us who bought in good faith- this will be my first LEGO train, so i also ordered the motor, battery pack, etc which are showing as shipped. they will remain unopened and fully refundable untill i get my EN.

I learned some time ago that there is no such thing as 'good faith' for LEGO in terms of ordering online.. If they do not have them, they do not have them.
I missed out on getting Holiday trains for $50 bucks each because I was waiting forever for LEGO to ship a couple I bought 'on good faith' from LEGO during one of their sales, but listed on 'backorder'.. after they were long gone from the LEGO stores (where I would have gotten them had I not had two on 'backorder'), I found out (after having to contact LEGO) that they did not complete my order and their reasoning was 'we did not charge you, so it was not a big deal'.
So I guess the moral of the story is, see them available somewhere, get them, because backorder from LEGO may not mean jack squat.
Hopefully they will make more, but do not count on it.

I spoke with the local storage manager today who told me that Emerald Night was no longer on her purchase orders and would not be coming back, it was gone and gone for good.

Of course that doesn't mean anything, Lego can do whatever they want, even bring it back for another year, just saying what I was told.

    Thanks for the heads up...
