At the moment the only way to do these is to use a 1x3 plate, with a 1x2 jumper and a tile on top and that is a bit too deep. The other problem is that only one arch connects to each impost. You can of course include a further 1x2 on top of the jumper / under the arches connected to the single stud but this looks a bit clumsy and adds extra height when it may not be wanted.

The 'lego bike' hasnt changed in about 50 years.
And of course there's reasons why they won't. But if they continue to avoid doing so, a less legitimate source will eventually step in.

The 1x6 and 1x8 already exist in Sand Green. Sure, they're not produced, and they're expensive, but at least they do exist.
