I hear you on that. If I get the 50% I'm also going to add the VW Van.

Are the scratch offs available tonight at 10PM or on Froday morning?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ Probably whenever your LEGO store opens for "Brick Friday" sales. For example, the Indianapolis store is opening at midnight tonight since that's when the mall opens that the store is located in.

The Lego store here in Columbus doesn't open until 8am on Friday...which means I doin't have to get up at some crazy time.

LEGO online has the Emerald Night on sale for 75 bucks, not sure if that will be the way in the stores, but it is now showing as check product availability online.
The Imperial flagship is about 135 and the Tantive IV is 113.
Winter Toy Shoppe is also only $45
Republic drop ship is 188 PLus LEGO online is doing the Freeshipping and Holiday set #2 with orders over 99 and the extra 10% for orders over 149....

LEGO store in Queens, NY was open at midnight. 25% sales were available in store and stacked with 10/20/50 Brick Friday promotion. They did have Imperial Flagship and Winter Toy Shop.

I had 3 emerald nights in my cart while in line at Walmart for the 1600 pc boxes. I couldn't checkout until after the mayhem and by then it was out of stock. At least I snagged 10 boxes from Walmart ;)
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
Then it becomes an interesting question of which was the better deal. :)
  • rocaorocao Administrator Posts: 4,290
I already have 10 emerald nights obtained at a cheaper average price :p

Mall of America store allowed you to go back for more if you got the 50%.

Guy in front of me got it, naturally.

I had 5 people with and we all got 10%.

Nailed a 20% with my EN and Helicopter :)

Just got back from LEGO Store at Sawgrass Mills. Got Tantive IV and Emerald Night, plus a magnet set with Boba Fett and Leia in Bikini. Got 10% off. Going to sleep now, and in the afternoon, I'll get some other stuff at Aventura's store. At least the Wedding Favour set, and a couple other magnets. If I get 50% off, I'll grab some exclusives to take advantage. By the way, got 2 PAB boxes, so LEGO store can really expect me on Dec, 26th!

My local store opens at 6am. I'll be getting there around 4am. :)
  • RobbRobb Member Posts: 144
Do you have to use the PAB boxes at the store where you received them? I'm visiting family this weekend and I'm only a couple hours from a store, but I won't be back to this region for a year to two so I'd like to use the PAB boxes at another location.

In the US, they are valid Dec 26, 2011 through March 1, 2012.
  • BTHodgemanBTHodgeman Member Posts: 622
Sorry - misread the question. No, they are not marked with a store location at all.

just got back. two people in the store the same time as me got the 50% off - both were AFOL's of course and loaded up the full 5k limit. I ended up pulling a 20% off, so went back and added a few items. My store was NOT stacking the pulltab discount on top of the already 25% off items, even though it does stack online and reports from other stores are that they are stacking.

Reading the fine print on the back of the pulltab card, it clearly says that the discount is good on regular priced items only, so I can't really argue the point, but it would have been great to get 40% off on all those sale items!

Not hitting the LEGO Store until the afternoon, but just spent a few hundred with them online: Republic Dropship, City Transport, and Imperial Flagship. About 33% off when you stack the two discounts (25% + 10%), plus VIP Points, free shipping, and I split it into two orders, so I got two of the Christmas bonus sets.

Not sure it's even worth it to head to the mall in the afternoon - it's going to be such a zoo! Congrats everyone on the deals.

@dougts I was able to get my 20% to stack this morning. It originally did not show the 25% off for the Emerald Night when I checked out and only the 20% off. I asked the girl working about it and they ended up giving both. That is interesting about the pull cards. With a 50% off, the EN's would have been close to 70% off.

How was the store when you went? At midnight, it was hectic but everyone seemed to know what they were after and jumped inline after they got their stuff. The checkout line ran all the way back to the PAB wall.

the clerks had clearly been instructed about not allowing the stacking. just like online, the registers would have rang it up stacked no problem, but all the clerks will well-versed to ring up all regular items first, apply the 10/20/50 discount, then ring up the 25% off items. I'm guessing Tom had given them explicit direction about that.

I got there about 2:30 am and was there for awhile, mostly because I was in no rush. Store was steady but not nearly as bad as you described for midnight. I ended up buying 1 EN, 1 IF, and 2 WVTS at the 25% off sale, along with my other regular price items. Had the discounts stacked, I certainly would have bought some more EN and IF, maybe even a dropship or Obi Wan

    Stacking the discounts?

Sheesh, that is pretty cool, I'll have to go this morning..

My wife is going to kill me with all the money I'm spending on Lego. I have a generous budget from her in general, but I'm really pushing it in the past week. :)

I Did'nt want to create a new post so thought I ask here.
How many people were able to add to their purchase after getting the scratch off/pull off discounts? Anyone in the tysons corner area?
  • BTHodgemanBTHodgeman Member Posts: 622
Mall of America LEGO Store was allowing it.

^^Lego Store Queens NY allowed stackin'.
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
I took my receipt in today and got the manager to stack my 20% pull tab on top of the 25% off stuff that originally wasn't stacked. apparently, they were NOT stacking early in the sale (when I went), but by early Friday morning they were stacking. So, 20% on top of 25% is a 40% off of RRP. Unfortunately, since they weren't stacking at the time, I only bought 4 items (IF, EN, 2x WTS) at 25% off. Had they been stacking me when I was there, I would have bought a lot more. Oh well.

Tysons didn't allow it for me even after an employee on the floor advised that it would be ok.
  • vanhanvanhan Member Posts: 31
@yellowcastle - I was wondering if you were at the tysons store. Did you ever get around to talking to anyone or writing to them. I did fill out the survey and heard back from the store manager.

I haven't contacted anyone yet but I feel compelled to do so. Can you PM me what kind of response you got?
