Hi all.
I'm attempting to get a spot again. Anyone else?

Is that trying again, or trying to go again?
Either way, I will be jealous but not planning on it from a pennies point of view :(

Trying to go again. I was there for the 10th anniversary tour a year ago.

I stayed up until 2 AM local time to sign up. Looks like the waiting for the call-back begins. I chose the second session near the end of May.

Cool! The "call-back" will be an e-mail :)

I hope I get in! I've read lots of previous topics on Brickset about the Inside Tour, and it seems like they try to get first-timers like myself, but then again, there are some people that go multiple years. So I suppose it really is based on a myriad of alternating factors.

Was up at 1 AM this morning (the link became active a few minutes early!). I hope they choose people on a first-come-first-serve basis (as opposed to a lottery).

The registration form indicated they will let you know on November 24 whether or not you got in.

I rather hope so, too. I notice the link became active early as well, and wasted no time on clicking it and proceeding to blitz through the registration form. If more than 140 people worldwide were actually trying to register for a spot.

I am also waiting for the "call-back'.

You DO have priority, and I'll be rooting for you to get in :)

Didn't you try a year or so ago, but missed the time to register?
I think I remember your username. LOL. Good luck!

Yes! I tried two years ago but the time change in the US screwed me up. I was smarter this year lol! I have actually tried like six times and never made it.

I'm hoping my Bat-Pod luck carries over!

The 2014 was a good tour. I wonder how things changed, now that the original team isn't running it anymore.

I noticed this year it looks like they cut it down by a day, from 3-1/2 days to 2-1/2 days.
  • RonnyRonny Member Posts: 86
    It was 2.5 days a in 2014.

I, too, missed it last year, after telling myself that I was going to do it. Completely forgot about it until much later in the day, and by then it was too late.

You mentioned how the group that does the tour has changed. This is news to me! Everything about the tour itself should remain the same, though, right?

    Good luck everyone!

^^Yes. The tour should stay the same. The 3 ladies (Camilla Torpe, Sanne Dollerup, and Regina Mateos Rodilla) are off to doing other things, and the event is now run by the group that runs the LEGO House.

I was on this years tour and Camilla and Regina where still running it, along with an intern who started just 2 days before the start of the tour. Good luck to everyone who signed up!

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - "I've Got a Golden Ticket"

^That song is how I'm feeling right about now!

@Russell844: That is horribly unfortunate. I can't help but suspect that a father / daughter team may have worked in my favour.

Don't give up just yet - I got a "no" email last year, only to get a email in January saying that they'd had a cancellation, and would I still be interested?  You never know what will happen!

Does anyone know if they accepted the first applicants or if it was a lottery from the four days of registration?

I stayed up super late here stateside and was hitting refresh in the minutes leading up to 10AM CET (3AM Central Time US).  The access link appeared at 9:56 and an application confirmation email at 9:58.  My wife and I got our rejection emails at 10:01 AM CET today.  Do I need to be even faster next year, or go ahead and sleep knowing I can apply at any point during the four day window if it's going to be a random drawing?

I got mine in at 10:00 AM CET on the dot (at least thats what my clock told me). Since you got yours in sooner, I would imagine there is a little more to the process than simply first come first serve.

I got a big no today as well.  But I'll keep applying....eventually I figure I'll out a way to pay for it if I get in with my sons

Ok, since someone was lamenting the lack of coverage, I'll step up to the plate. I'm here in Billund for the tour! Unfortunately, it is quite rainy, so I felt a bit discouraged about checking out the park after getting my season pass and the welcome packet. It's better now, so I'm going to trot to the city center to see about this bakery and the Lego House set everyone has been making a fuss about. Very excited for tomorrow!

Thanks everyone! Sorry for that double post. There seems to be a lag on everything I do on the forum, even typing! Perhaps it is because I am on my mobile phone. I did manage to snag the Lego House set at a grocery store (149 DKK or roughly $22) yesterday. But today the real adventure begins!

Quick update: just got back from the p-store (employee shop) and although I didn't have a huge list of things to buy, I want to eliminate the worry that people from the USA have regarding the quality of ther savings. I spent $480 and managed to snag the Ghostbusters HQ, Brick bank, and several other good-sized Star Wars sets. So, still shop smart, but you will be very pleased with the savings on just about anything you wish to get!

Have you done the building challenge yet? If there's one regret I have it's not taking better pictures of the way the LEGO designers get to have their LEGO stored. Any photos of the storage appreciated!

@Lego_Lord_Mayorca thanks for the updates! I know I live vicariously through everyone else that gets to go. Sounds like the p-store has amazing deals! $480 for GB HQ, Brick Bank, and other sets? That's pure ABS awesomeness! Hope you are having a good time!
