Brick separator key ring

CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
I've got an orange brick separator key ring / key chain. I think it came from one of the round robin boxes that went around earlier in the year. Does anyone know if this is/was an official item or a custom? My son suggested some for his birthday party goody bags. I've probably got enough brick separators to make them if I buy the blank key rings but wondered if this was ever an official thing that could be purchased. I couldn't find it on BL, or here or google, just customs.

I've never seen a licensed brick separator keychain.

Do you mean one of these http://www.dagsbricks.com/p/custom-items.html ? Maybe @dagsbricks can determine if it's one of his customs.

@chuckp the key ring is under his "custom items" section so I'm going with custom.

I put it in the box! My wife makes them, along with other LEGO brick keyrings, earrings, jewellery and stuff.
She sells them via her eBay store and Facebook page but I'm sure I could arrange a discount if any bricksetters wanted one. :)

^^ Ha! Yeah, I knew it was a custom. The link/post was more so CCC could compare his existing keyring to the one from the link. :)

Thanks Kevin! I thought it probably was. Funny enough the Dags Bricks ones were the only ones coming up on BL when I was searching there.

I've ordered a box of key chain parts as I'll make them myself, I have plenty of separators.

Glad you solved the mystery. I would have been thrilled if one of mine made it to the UK! Mine use an official keyring and chain pulled from official LEGO Gear so they're about as official as you'd get without the Danish paid labor.

Without wanting to seem like I'm shilling them too much, they really are handy. I've lost track of the times I've heard 'wish I had a separator' and I whipped mine out to great applause (oo-er!).
I'm surprised that LEGO don't do an official one.

Hey guess what! One of you chaps bought one so one of my BS rings will be on the Emerald Isle. Spread the love! :-)

I tracked yours down and good show! Some other fellow is attempting to sell them for about GBP 5.50 and he's drilled the hole smack in the middle of the tip!

You may want to rethink using that acronym, it's a lot of bull. ;)
