Ha ha @bendybadger ...that's a good way of putting it "...thinking outside the (broken) window"...

will get a video of Huw's adorable train...unless someone else manages to post one first :-)

The voting for favourites has been a great way to get visitors involved. I am just on my first break of the day, and haven't stopped at all. Think we've had another 2-3,000 votes today.  Clear favourites, but the last addition (not yet on that Flickr album) has been scoring quickly...

Thanks Lee for organising it! It was great fun coming up with the micro-train mechanism and I'm glad that it survived the weekend with only a sprinking of ABS dust around the mechanism.

It was also good fun coming over to see the scores on the doors and cajoling visitors to vote for me :)

Yes, I agree it was a fun concept and all your hard work with the Selfridge's build paid off - it looked great.  I didn't become too competative until I realised that people were voting for my Santa's reindeers bursting through the window...then I also had a few short 'influence campaigns' ha ha....

Huw's build really was very clever, the train was so cute and smooth and Tim's 'Soho window' was very this season!

Hope you had a good night's sleep Lee after all that work this weekend!! Thanks for my prize...when I receive it ;-)

Managed to see it in the flesh with my little girl. Fantastic build and fantastic concept @leemcg. My 6 year old was very taken with the @huw train.

I had hoped to do something a bit more permanent with the Selfridges model but unfortunately it's been in my basement for the last 10 months in boxes...

    A few things:

Some people were kind enough to leave their vignettes with me in case we could drum up some Fairy Bricks related interest. That hasn't been possible, but it's been much appreciate for you to trust your Lego with me. If I have have your model and you'd like me to send it back then please send me a direct message with your address and I'll get it back to you.

The model has been brought out of storage again to display at the Wanstead Art Trail under the London AFOLs banner. I've had to reduce the size of the model a bit as the biggest shop window to display is only 3.6m long. More Vignettes are being produced under the theme of the Art Trail: Change/Societal Change/Ch...ch...ch...changes. Turn around and face the strange. If you are in London and can be part of @richselby's London AFOLs, then more are welcome.

Finally, a good photographer friend has popped round this morning to take some professional photos. They are on my Flickr stream if you never got to see the original model.
