The Lego store I go to has them with a limit of 1 per household. If you go to Ebay there are plenty for sale but most seem to be selling for RRP or less. Maybe that's the place to get a good deal right now.
How am I searching incorrectly?  I would clarify RRP to be $59.99 including shipping excluding tax.

If I look at "Sold Listings" on a search for "LEGO 21303" I find 233 listings.  Seven or eight of those are below RRP of $59.99 and the cheapest sealed was $56.50.

The are just ones bought on FAO.com when they were $50. Quick flipping for a small return, under RRP.

There were some pretty hefty discounted gift cards for FAO a month or two ago. Something like 17% or greater off. If those were used that makes the discount roughly 27% with 6% sales tax. Not a bad discount for a brand new set like that. Not setting the world on fire profit wise, but some people literally just look for a few $ on each sale. I am not one of those people though.

@goshe7  I searched "lego wall e" and got results as low as 29.99 plus 9 to ship. If the sets are selling at or near rrp after Ebay fees they aren't making much.

Ship date has been updated to 4 Dec. There goes my evil plan to make some Christmas money.....

Even if the release date wasn't moved up on [email protected], I think those that want it at RRP could easily get one.  My local TRU had 4 at the middle of last week, then 3 over the weekend, and then 6 at the beginning of this week, all before the ship date on [email protected] was updated.  I was a different TRU tonight and they had at least 1 on the shelf.  So, at the very least, if someone really wanted one soon and/or for a Christmas present, TRU would've been a good bet instead of being scalped on eBay.

    Yes! 27%!

Does anybody still have functioning FAO gift cards?  There were a lot that lost their balance in August; I have stayed away since then.
