I have to say some of the parts feel a bit cheaper. The visor piece for the Claybots in 70315 are a soft rubbery plastic and had flash moulding on it. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case before.
The material of a part changing rarely ever has anything to do with cost-cutting. More likely, the change in material would be due to the original part's fragility—I've definitely had more than one of those visors break in my many years as a Lego fan.
Yeah, I have heard from an engineer at LEGO that their rubber in particular (like the type used for LEGO Friends hair) is a more expensive material than their typical ABS or polycarbonate.

Wow, I've never had a visor of any type break before.  The old space helmets, before visors, sure, those chin straps were a terrible design.

    /useless anecdotal commenting ;)

Take a nail file and clean up the flashing, no big deal.

     Hopefully that's the case!

I don't really mind it; just an observation. =D

    From the ultimate macy set.

Not to mention it was missing a blue 41770. It's not even on their bricks and pieces site yet. Is it to early to call cs for this? I can imagine them saying "you're not even suppose to have that set yet!" or something along those lines.

^^ You do know that the chest really is not that hard to get into. You don't need to beat it with a hammer to open it. A simple turn of the wrist on he orange part will suffice.

Oh jeez, that's pretty rough. The packages for these sets seem pretty sturdy (having handled one at Barnes & Noble) so I imagine this damage must have happened at some point on the factory floor, before the set was all sealed up.

I don't think Customer Service will have any problems replacing the part even if the set isn't available from the LEGO Shop just yet. I'm sure they know that some stores release certain sets early. However, you may or may not want to wait just because this is surely going to be a very busy time for LEGO Customer Service. Getting in touch via e-mail might be better to do sooner than later, but trying to get through to them over the phone could be a challenge this time of year.
  • Pumpkin_3CK5Pumpkin_3CK5 Member Posts: 805
@Aanchir Definitely from the factory, since I checked the box and it was in great shape and every other piece were fine.
  • DedgeckoDedgecko Member Posts: 798
Apparently the damage sensing robot was out to lunch.

How likely is it that LEGO cs will file a report that a store released an item earlier than the street date and then touch base with said store, telling them to monitor it in the future, etc? Cause I just called cs about the missing /broken pieces and they were surprised that Ultimate Macy is already out and asked where I got it from. Should've said ebay or something. I'm probably over-thinking this, but hey, I'm curious anyways.

They're printed. :) The "power" ones are, anyway. Some of the ones in other sets that are just decoration for vehicles are stickers. Which is kinda nice IMO, since those also tend to be in more versatile colors like black.

And of course, some of them aren't printed tiles OR stickers, because they're not yet available as LEGO pieces at all. For instance, "Under Woe" is currently available only in a comic from the January 2016 LEGO Club Magazine.

Apparently Lance's Mecha Horse transforms from a motorcycle to a horse.
  • DNADNA Member Posts: 89
I picked up these at Barnes and Noble with the 10% member discount. These were the only two NEXO Knights my local store had. I wanted to buy Lance's Mecha horse and Jestro's evil mobile but they were wiped out.

Why does Robyn have chicken legs and Aaron have bananas?
  • Pumpkin_3CK5Pumpkin_3CK5 Member Posts: 805

@TheUltimateTFOL It looks likes Robin's family crest is a chicken and not a robin, so he gets Chicken Power. And based on Aaron's attitude in the show, he's the one most likely to use Banana Bombs in battle. Though, I think some of the power ups included are just randomly selected for the characters.

And it looks just as awful as a cycle as a "mecha-horse".  It's at the wrong pricepoint or is simply not a good idea.

I don't know, I think both modes look pretty cool, the bike especially. I am a bit bothered by the fact that the knight can't see through the windscreen in bike mode — if they had put some kind of viewscreen for him that would've made a big difference. But I think the creativity of the function combined with the looks of the two designs individually makes for a pretty nice set altogether. I hope the other knights get robo-vehicle versions of the animals from their heraldry — can you imagine getting a robotic dragon for Macy?

I have seen the first two episodes and so far no one has any vehicles whatsoever. However, I don't think that any vehicle (besides the Fortrex) will be used as frequently as the vehicles in the Chima TV series, if that makes any sense at all!

Clay did use his Rumble Blade in a short webisode released today. But no, I haven't seen any vehicles for the other characters in the first two episodes or the first three webisodes.

I haven't played the app much (it doesn't run well on my phone), but apparently Macy does have a vehicle in that. Not sure about other characters.

And of course there are the hover-horses, if you count those as vehicles. Macy, Aaron, and Lance all have those in the sets so far. I imagine Clay and Axl might get some by the end of the year.

Axl on a hover-horse? I have doubts about that!!! :D

I was probably the only one that went for Nexo Knights aside from a few kids. Everyone else went for the modulars, which was fine by me since I got to cherry pick. =]

And since the cashier was being lazy instead of checking back room for the playmat since the manager said they got it in already, I got two of the polybags.

I grabbed the Mecha Horse and Rumble Blade a few days ago. Nice sets, really like the colors and the Rumble Blade set in particular. I originally planned to get more of the line, but I think i'll just grab the King's Mech and that's probably it.
  • ricecakericecake Member Posts: 878
I like the #70327 King's Mech, #70312 Lance's Mecha Horse, and #70315 Clay's Rumble Blade, but I'm still on the fence if I like them enough to get them.

Speaking of the universe in terms of existing to the other two Lego shows (Ninjago and Chima) it would appear that they reside in one of the "16 Realms" with Ninjago having (the base world, the skeleton world, the land of the Styx, the Sky World hence why there are floating Islands),Chima world and the Nexo Knight world. Bringing the count so far to 5, wonder what are the other realms.
  • TheUltimateTFOLTheUltimateTFOL Member Posts: 152
Ninjago and Styx are in the same realm, in the show Styx is a county of Ninjago. The other ones are the Underworld, the Cursed Realm (now destroyed), the Cloud Kingdom, the Underworld, Chima, and possibly Nexo Knights. I haven't seen the show so I wouldn't know if Nexo Knights was shown as being a realm. Also, maybe some of the realms from the Lego Movie like Bricksburg and Middle Zealand are realms.
  • dannyrwwdannyrww Member Posts: 1,394
i keep hearing about these realms and floating islands and think Lego Dimensions ties to this all somehow...making me think their are more than 16 in the end.

Yep. Finished the game so far within a week. Scanning feature is great, power ups are super helpful, etc.

I tried it but my phone isn't totally compatible. It would run, but it crashed partway through the first level and I haven't played it since. I plan on getting a new phone soon so I'll try playing it again after that!

Yeah. It's freaking slow and for everything you do there's a loading screen. All I wanted to do was scan Nexo Powers and after three it makes you wait for a minute or something.

?  I played for about 10 minutes (iPhone 6+), seemed pretty zippy to me.  Though I didn't even bother with the scanning stuff (no sets at this time).

My four year old loves this theme, he has the Fortrex, Merlok's Library, Beast Master Chariot, Moltor's Lava Smasher, Ultimate Clay, Ultimate Aaron, and Ultimate Macy. He likes the colors and weapons that the characters have.

Has anyone in the U.S. found Merlok's Library at retail?  I'd like to get this set, but have not seen it in stores yet.  Please post where you've seen it, if so.  Thanks!

Thanks!  I checked a TRU yesterday, but didn't see it.  It's not even listed on their site.  The Target I looked at had 0 nexo knights sets :(  Guess I'll just keep an eye out at TRU.

Toys 'R' Us had it? I was pretty sure Merlok's Library was a Target exclusive? =/ Similarly, I think Infernox Captures the Queen is a TRU exclusive, and King's Mech is also an exclusive to someplace, maybe Wal-Mart. The easiest way to get all three is just to get them at a LEGO store or the LEGO Shop website, since they generally carry all retail exclusives except promotional items.

Anyway, yes, my local Target has some for $24.99, despite not having really restocked their LEGO aisle (which in the aftermath of the holidays looks like a truck hit it).

You may be rights, it may have been at Target or Barnes and Noble. I've been running to so many places lately they have all run together.
