Indeed, and they seem to go almost seamlessly on a SW MOC, they are very varied and I might get the ship if the funds are there.

I picked up Ghost rider Vs Carnage a couple days ago at Fred Meyers... I appreciate the alternate “fired up” version of the vehicle and ability to swap it back to flameless. A great car for non-marvel purposes too.

It was a Fun little build. I also just picked up ghost rider team up from 2016 In a lot...But I like this New set more.

The Eternals film is delayed until November 2021 (from Feb 2021, from November 2020). Any chance lego will also delay the release? I can see these sets being a tough sell to the general public without a film to give the generic looking characters and random builds a bit of buzz and backstory.

Most of the Minion sets got bumped a full year so it could happen.

A little late posting this, but to my complete shock, this arrived out of the blue last week!  I am so thrilled to have won this!

Miles now joins his place next to Peter.

I’m regretting not buying that figure at the “bargain” price of $500 when it first appeared on eBay earlier this year. Recently one sold for over $1500. Apparently sdcc attendees have been under valuing these figures for years... or covid has shifted people’s collecting habits or Lego has become another pricey alternative investment.

There is a Daily Bugle image that has leaked!  It looks like a lot of fun with lots going on.  It also includes some characters I was not expecting to see!

I'm not big into the Marvel stuff.  I've gotten a few of the sets like Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown and a few small Avengers & Spiderman sets mostly for unique parts.  But I need to get that Advent Calendar to complete my Infinity Stone collection.

I think I'm missing whatever was in the Black Panther sets and maybe one other color.  I've seriously been considering getting the advent calendar to expand my supply of flesh tone heads to use with my Harry Potter sets so the Infinity Stones would just be the icing on the cake.  Hopefully Walmart sells them cheap again like last year.

What are people thinking about Daredevil? Are LEGO likely to make another set with him, or should I shell out a kidney for the one from the Bugle?
  • Casper_vd_KorfCasper_vd_Korf Twente, The NetherlandsMember Posts: 238
^I would wait a year or so. Mark Stafford said something in the Reddit AMA about having figures in smaller sets to lower the production costs, so maybe daredevil could be a part of next wave or something. If he isn’t , then you could sell a kidney while the bugle is still sold at [email protected]

I want Daredevil, Blade and Punisher but I simply can't justify the price of that huge set (awesome though it is). Will wait until I see prices of the minifigs on bricklink... It's going to be ugly though.
  • wardmwardm BelgiumMember Posts: 856
@MaffyD maybe try and sell the Bugle by itself and the minifigures you don’t care for…? I bet there are lots of people who would just want the building for their city or to expand their own set.

I suppose we're not going to erupt into controversy because 'Fat Thor' has been adjusted to 'Bro Thor'?

How would 'Bro Thor' translate to other languages?

Would have been more on-point to get permission to call him 'Lebowski Thor'...

At least they bring plenty of useful pieces for modifying modulars, I guess? That's a thing people do, right? I know I would turn the Central Perk set into an actual small building, and maybe work this Thor set into a room somewhere (if I ever get them).

Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one that thought the official nickname ‘Bro Thor’ was a little odd. I don’t really care but did they even call him ‘Bro Thor’ in Endgame? Minifig is still awesome.

I don't recall anyone calling him 'Fat' Thor in the movie.  Only that he looked like melted ice cream and was full of Cheez Whiz.

I feel like "bro" is a decent option here. "Fat" would obviously make clickbaity "news" sites drool over it, while "depressed" might not be something LEGO wants on a 7+ set.

Anyway, are we expecting anything for SDCC? I know it's online again this year and I wonder if LEGO is preparing some "exclusives" to be sold the way they did 2020.

I just re-watched the first Captain America movie, along with X-Men DOFP, and was prompted to go pull down my old comic books from the ‘80s and before…

This one from 1987 had John Walker as Cap and Lemar Hoskins as Bucky ( I had forgotten how many different versions of those two characters there were! )…

and this 1967 release was the oldest X-Men I could dig up.  Seeing this made me wish Lego would release more X-Men sets (despite licensing issues).  I have a big box of Fantastic Four and DC comics, but I’ll save those for a different weekend…

So... figured this place would be good to put my thoughts on the new CMF series.
Overall, I think it's kinda odd seeing a Marvel series focus so much on Disney+. I personally would've preferred if they took some from the comics as well. You get all sorts of neat character variations there. Still, we got what we have, and a Marvel CMF even existing is quite a pleasant surprise!

    So.
1.) Winter Soldier - I know why he's here, even if he's not all that exciting. Leaving him out while including Sam would probably be seen as a pretty big omission.

2.)Captain America (Sam Wilson) - Excellent!  Lots of detail, and the moving wings make for pretty good play value. It even includes the drone! It's nice to get a version of Sam outside the Comic Con exclusive.

3.) Scarlet Witch - FINALLY THE PIECES ARE RED! It took LEGO long enough and now we have the right colored magic! Nice to have Wanda in heir superhero outfit now as well.

4.) The Vision - Looks good, but I'm not particularly attached to this version of Vision. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of him down the road. For now, it's a rather nice figure.

5.) Monica Rambeau - This is another character I think I need to see more of to get attached to. It seems like she kinda was dropped out of the plot right after they got their powers, so hopefully she'll appear more in later shows/movies. However, I think the minifigure of her here is pretty nicely done as well! The helicopter drone is a cute additon.

6.) Gamora - Probably one of my favorites of the batch! The armor looks great, and this would be a pretty easy way to get a version of Gamora outside the rather expensive Milano sets that don't come around too often. Heck, the newest one didn't even include her or Drax. Just swap out some of the clothes, give her a sword, and you've got yourself one of the Guardian members! It's a good figure on it's own, and useful elsewhere.

7.) Zombie Captain America - Also looks great! The damaged shield will be useful for MOCs, and a zombie is quite a different variation on a character we've gotten a lot of. Probably the closest we'll get to anything from Marvel Zombies. .

8.) Zombie Hunter Spidey - AKA Avengers Campy Spidey. He doesn't really look like a zombie hunter to be honest. Just looks like he raided Dr. Strange's closet for his cape. Despite this, I love the actual Spidey figure! It's packed with detail and can fit in scenarios even without flesh eating monsters. I feel like it gives a nice in-between for the colorful comic book counterpart and the more tech-infused MCU suit.

9.) Sylvie - Looks good, though I have to agree the face print is a bit odd. She kinda looks more like she is trying to find a polite way to tell someone bad news rather than getting ready to trick/stab somebody. Also, that alligator not having the crown is a huge oversight. The new piece looks good on it's own, but the lack of a crown kinda ruins the joke.

10.) T'Challa Star-Lord - I quite like this figure! It's a very colorful, neat design with a decent amount of detail as well. The grey guns are nice, and having a head piece for T'Challa is also handy outside of What If? scenarios. The new hair is also a bonus. At least, I think that's new hair.

11.) Loki - Also looks good. That TVA mug will be handy for MOCS. Throg is underwhelming to me. It lacks the helmet and I'm guessing a cape, so it doesn't instantly remind me of Thor at a glance.

12.) Captain Carter - What the-? This is what should've been in the set! Wouldn't it make sense for the stealth suit to be in the CMF? Still, looks good! I am curious as to why they left out her mask/helmet though. I could see that helping distinguish that from the set version.

I really like the CMF series, if I am being brutally honest, it is a good place to put a lot of these figures as they are all interesting but I don't think there was enough from the TV series that would make an amazing set. As we have seen with the lukewarm reception to the What If mechs.
  • sipusssipuss PolandMember Posts: 166
I'll probably get Loki and maybe Sylvie. Not much else looks that good or interests me. Still hoping for a nice '50s WandaVision set though.
  • MaffyDMaffyD West YorkshireMember Posts: 3,348
Out of all of these, it's T'Challa and Spidey I have the least interest in, but I'll probably still get them (and all the rest).

I started off making a list of what they "could've/should've" put in, but I got to 10 and it looked silly. Maybe in Series 2!

Anyway, highlights for me are Sam Wilson Cap, Captain Carter and Zombie Captain America. The others I like because I'm invested in the shows. We shall see about the What If... episodes - Spidey and T'Challa may be my favourites afterwards!

I figure I'll need to get Star-Lord T'Challa, and Gamora of course, just to satisfy my completionist tendencies for the GotG series.

Those two plus the Loki characters are probably my top wants from the set.

Seems like in Polish, it's easier to just go with Fat Thor instead of coming up with a non-cringy translation for "bro" (I know it's just the name and description on the website and not on the box, but still, quite amusing).

#76200 Bro Thor's New Asgard is a really neat little set! Tons of useful pieces at a fair price. I'm not even much of a Marvel fan, this is my first Marvel set I think but couldn't pass up this neat accessory pack
