I just cleared out a bunch of my original Star Wars toys from my parents house. I don't think I've seen a comparison of the Lego v Kenner AT-AT elsewhere, but I was surprised at how small the Kenner one is (and how very battle damaged!).

    ^^ Wow, that Kenner AT-AT!
As a kid I considered this the Holy Grail of toys, but never owned one - had to go to my friend's house on the next street over to play with the big Kenner sets.  How far we have come!

Hope to see some of you Bricksetters (lurking or not) at Star Wars Celebration in London over the next few days!

As an FYI I had an email from the event mentioning this:
Star Wars Celebration and LEGO are excited to bring our fans brand-new limited-edition Star Wars collectible toys! With an exclusive early release for the "BrickHeadz" Battle of Endor collection. Star Wars fans have the opportunity to purchase these limited edition items starting this celebration weekend! Go to the link via the button or image and begin your purchase today!

The exclusivity and whether you need to purchase on-site vs online isn’t super clear. But thought I’d give it a shout out. I like these kinds of exclusives because hopefully there will be some extra packaging to show it was from the event, but the actual set will still be widely available.

I'll be going on Saturday with my wife and two girls. It would be great to say hi. I'll try and PM you a pic of us in the morning to help you spot us.

Clarification - there is no exclusive packaging from Star Wars Celebration but Lego are giving away exclusive printed tiles mentioning Star Wars Celebration instead with purchases of £40 or over (but they are being lenient and letting £39,99 for the early release Brickheadz slide).

Do they have any of the other May 1st sets available?

@Brainslugged it may be too late now depending on your timings but you couldn’t actually buy any of the other revealed sets on site. So the two new dioramas and new UCS X-Wing can only be preordered, not bought ‘in-hand’ right now so to speak.

Ok, the Tie Interceptor and Fang Fighter never face each off against one another.
I hope we get a set with those sweet Mando Imperial agents as well some Praetoriams guards. I smell there were some rewrites in the show.

Mando S3 finale was ok, and the sets are surprisingly accurate with one or two deviations.

^ That smaller Interceptor is excellent! I'm glad they shrunk the Bomber so it's cheaper and easier to display. The varying scales don't bother me because I'm just glad to get new Interceptors and Bombers. I have the old blue ones, but they were getting lonely.
I just wish they were Sand Blue!

@Brainslugged, can I ask where you got the stands?

Wicked Bricks. A little pricey, but really nice. I think they are called Vario stands and come in a variety of heights as well as angle/orientation of the craft on top. PM me if you need any further info.

I really do think that anyone who owns the small TIE Fighter should 100% purchase another one (plus some additional bricks) and make the perfectly compatible Interceptor.

I might do that! I also need to build a cannon pod to make the TIE/rb ("TIE Brute") from "Solo".
If you swap the wings between #75300 and #75342, you get a ship that kind of resembles a TIE Brute, and a Lego version of Kenner's 3.75" Darth Vader's TIE Fighter- because the Kenner toy just reused their TIE Fighter cockpit ball, with bent wings.

The new Stormtrooper Mechs are fantastic, oh get ready for a mechanized PLT of those in my Forces. Oh the hangar idea I have for them, now I also have to develop various weapons and a dropship for them....

    I'm not feeling it...

Wow, 2 and 8 aren't even near each other on the keyboard... I meant #75348, not #75342!

Still waiting on a TIE Reaper...

And does anyone else hope that the buildup to the return of a certain Grand Admiral might also see the return of the Legends-turned-canon TIE Defender he was associated with in Rebels?

Would love a TIE Reaper. But I personally have TIE Defenders in the mental category of "now things have got silly". Of course I'd still buy one though! 😳

This is why I stick to Microfighters, no scale means no problems of scale-change, and less to keep up with even though they swing the pendulum too far the other way wit the current 1-2/year glacial release rate. MF's worked better in Series 1-3 when they were paired opponents... maybe instead of surging six at once like Series 1, drop either a 2-pack or one pair of singles every quarter. Or a two-pack of "named character" ships as "squadron leaders" with generic Redshirt singles to fleet-build... anybody else remember when Steve Jackson was running Evil Stevie's Lego Pirate Game at cons? MF's could make for a fun offshoot of that...

With scale fairly flexible in recent years, I don’t see why TLG can’t produce:
    • Rogue One (the specific Zeta-class shuttle)
    • Hammerhead Corvette
    • TIE Reaper
    • More pod racers
    • A variety of Mando-era vehicles such as the Juggernaut from The Believer
I guess we’re going to get one or two Ahsoka related vehicles so it’ll be intriguing to see how they’re executed. Maybe we will also get something from Skeleton Crew later in the year.

Pods could be good as a "capsule" caricature line similar to Microfighters.

Collect the entire Boonta Eve starting grid! :)

The Mantis needs to be added to that line up. The Imperial Troop Transport also needs one.

If Ahsoka ends up bringing back more than just a couple ships from Rebels, it'd be nice to see a set of Maul's Gauntlet Fighter, the Nightbrother. Loved the color scheme, and would love to see some Clan Wren figures, though I suppose their fate is still up in the air following the Great Purge.
