    Posted this in [email protected] tread too, but thought it might be helpful here.

    Went to my local LEGO Store and they had UCS Slave 1 and Snowspeeder as retiring soon. Might be time to pick one up if you live in the USA, and want one.

    I’m interested in the Snowspeeder, but I keep wondering if It will go on sale in a couple weeks - either by Lego or big retailers or both

    Mmmmh too bad this special collectable minifig does not come with the helmet these guys wear in the film (Solo: A Star Wars Story).
    Though the Lego Kessel Mine Worker (special collectable SW minifig #40299 ) is actually part of a team of overseeers from the Mining guild, to make sure the guild will get its cut of the profits. The particular mine on Kessel, Tobias Beckett and his crew raided, was operated and run by the Pyke syndicate. So I assume these guild employees didn't do any of the prospecting themselves.
    Anyway except for not having this helmet (which is from that Rebel soldier from #75155 for which TLG did make a matching mould) this is a pretty cool minifig!

    I am curious if TLG will produce more of these special collectable SW minifigs with a display stand in the future. I really like them a lot, and happy to now have all five different ones that have been made so far.

    Btw. all the printing on muddy Han is really well done, and the funny expressive double face print makes this figure very appealing.
    I hope TLG will do more of these, preferably now some from the original trilogy, e.g.: some alien from the Mos Eisley cantina. Absolutely love R1 and this Scarif shore trooper squad leader is just the best, still my favourite of the bunch.

    I agree that Rogue One was amazing. If only episodes 7 and 8 could have been half as good.

    It also really bugs me that the Mine Worker didn't come with a helmet - especially as a perfect one is already in production. I'd been thinking that the Cloud Car Pilots ones would be better than the one you used, but after comparing the pics, your one would be perfect if only the top part of the hat was tan or white. I dislike hairless/hatless minifigs at the best if times, but this one is extra frustrating.

    To play devil's advocate, there were some mine workers in Solo without helmets. It still doesn't prevent this minifig from looking incomplete though.

    Personally I loved Solo, and DJ was the standout character for me in TLJ, so I was happy to get him. R3-M2 was probably the least exciting to me. Still need to get mudtrooper Han

    I seriously hope Zuckuss will pop up in a second set because I am not paying that price for another Slave I, not when I have the UCS as the centrepiece of my collection already.

    I don't know why, because I haven't heard the song in forever, but everytime I see the word Zuckuss the Wu Tang Clan's "Bring Da Ruckus" pops into my head.  "bring da m****f**in' Zuckuss!"....Bizarre!

    You mean if Lucas had a bit of sense? That would be horrible - we would never have gotten the prequels! Actually, we probably would never have gotten Star Wars at all.

    I presume not, seeing as I can't find any chatter about it...but is there any info about this year's UCS sets following the rumours from ages ago of Tantative IV or ISD?

    There was a screen capture of a listing for the Tantative IV going around Instagram but it could easily be fake. It had a part count and $199.99 price

    @monkeyhanger - There's leaked images of a Leia in white dress (with one of the new dress pieces) and Captain Antilles. So pretty likely they are from some sort of Tantive IV.

    You’d expect there to be some kind of release for May 4th. If so the announcement would come in the next few weeks.

    Maybe everybody but me already knows this, but according to Lego.com, the next wave of SW sets will be available April 1st. Yay! I need Zuckuss!!! I don't especially need another Slave I, but I need Zuckuss, so... I'll be getting another Slave I.

    Don’t know why local independent toy shops have to put stickers on the box. I would use my local toy shop a lot more for my purchases if they didn’t also do that...

    Anniversary boxes have a great printing finish to them - I found some lately as well. The stripes and logo are a shiny silver and the focus points on the box like the model itself are also embossed with a glossy shiny finish. If Star Wars boxes were like this all the time it might reduce the sting of some of the RRPs!

    Love vintage Kenner style boxes, fighting the urge to go down to my dad's shed grab all my old SW stuff (already have enough to sort out around here at the moment without adding to the mess).

    Wow, still no UCS news for May 4th release! TLG are doing well to keep it under wraps to this stage or perhaps there actually isn't one?

    I know there's a suspicion of Tantative IV based on fig leaks, but no actual sighting of the ship.

    No news on the GWP either. Maybe we are getting Hoth Han again! We can only hope!

    20th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. My guess is something bigger than just a Minifigure.

    I miss the days of an awesome exclusive minifig. That silver protocol droid was amazing. Would love it if they gave us an updated chrome C-3PO or vader.

    I asked at my local Lego store (Metrocentre) today if there was a May 4th UCS this year and she said " If I knew, I could tell you there was one  but not what it is. We genuinely don't know if there will be right now, but we have a meeting next week about the May 4th event, maybe we'll here then".

    Between all the nonsense someone did leak a Lego Store flyer for a May the 4th event, it suggested there would be a big reveal of at least what the event consisted of, but probably also what the set/GWP actually are. The date was April 15th and TLG do like to do reveals on Mondays and Tuesdays.

    Maybe the GWP is a black lego VIP card that entitles you to nothing through out the year.
