Btw. I love all these sets. Both the Ep.VII TFA battle packs, and those SW Battlefront sets look really nice. I only wish TLG would have included regular SW blasters for the minifigs as well.
I like the variation in TFA stormtrooper outfits. Though I do hope that TLG won't include these FO crewmembers with those clumsy giant black helmets in every set. Having bought all current seven TFA SW sets, I now already have three of these guys. I noticed that when putting those figs with these giant space-ball helmets in my Kylo Renn's Command shuttle and/or FO transporter, they take up too much space which can cause the canopy not to close properly or they will not remain seated as they should, or their helmets will not stay on. When using them as pilot for the FO-Tr. you have to modify the sliding cockpit 'console' and have that fig sit as opposed to stand, otherwise he won't fit. As the 'pop-up' gunner on board the FO-Tr. the helmet also has the tendency to get caught on the hatch when withdrawing inside the ship. Also I like the stormtroopers and officers and crew wearing these (fabric) hats better than those black helmets.
The only set I am not sure about is #75137 because if you plan on buying #75060 then this set does not add much with respect to the minifigs except for the Ugnaught.
Too bad no sandtroopers are included in #75136 , other then that it is a nice set. I hope we will soon also see a new small set that includes a bunch of sandtroopers, and some Tusken Raiders too.
I wonder if the Han Solo in #75138 is a different one, than the one that came in the polybag? This set will be a nice addition to my 2014 AT-AT and snowspeeder set.
It would be nice to see a smaller set with Vader. Maybe they'll make another carbon freezing chamber with Luke and Vader that could attach to this one?
It does seem strange that they didn't include Lando. He belongs in this scene more than the Ugnaught.
Once, a long time ago, I was a very big SW fan. (Still am, just not as up on all the info.)
But those battle packs!!!!
I wonder how that bodes for the value of this particular polybag in new sealed condition?! Is it still a valuable item for the polybag collectors?
I agree with you that it would have been nice if they would have changed the print somewhat of Han's torso and legs etc. then it is still the same figure, but not exactly, so the polybag version may be viewed as more exclusive, even though this is very subjective. As far as I could tell some printing and the elements included still make it absolutely unique set, but not exclusive in the sense of 'one of a kind'.
In other cases, such as e.g. with TC-4 #5002122, a minifig that I very much would like to have, it is really annoying that this fig is not being put into a set. Of course if TLG modifies the print somewhat, and it still looks good and right or even better than the polybag version, I don't mind it at all. The exclusivity factor is very much tied up with the idea of resale value. I am no reseller so to me affordability and availability are what counts.
The Series 3 Microfighters #75128 Tie Advanced Prototype looks quite similar to the Series 1 #75031 Tie Interceptor...
Also from the brick fan:
"I have some more details about the set from a very reliable source. The set is actually called the Assault on Hoth (75098) and it will be a Ultimate Collector Series set. Pretty much everything that was shown in the mini movie will be in the set minus the AT-ATs."
OK! so the set number is #75098 and the price in dollars is $249,99

I am so curious now!
A Kamino playset could be so totally kick ass!!!
Image a whole series of revolving batteries with clone embryos printed on or encased in transparent light blue one stud cylindrical bricks. It would also be a good opportunity to release a new Jango Fett & Boba kid minifig in a set. And Kaminoans are a quite intriguing race too, though I am not sure how best to turn them into minifigs. Maybe the Kaminoans should, besides having specially moulded heads, have minidoll bodies?! Or is merely suggesting this already considered sacrilege!? It is just that they are so lanky and tall.
Would extra long Woody legs work?
Btw. this makes me think of a hilarious Southpark episode too, where Cartman is trying to sell a surplus of aborted foetuses for stem-cell research. If only Lego would do a Southpark theme.
Also tricycles!
Just as SW unrelated, but minifig tricycles would be very comical.
Or even THIS bad boy?!
Which one do you mean: the Republic Attack Cruiser, or the separatist flagship 'The Invisible Hand'?
I like the Republic Attack Cruiser best of the two.
And I would definitely be excited to get UCS versions of the Republic Cruiser, Republic Gunship, ETA-1, Turbotank, ARC Fighter, Anakin's Speederbike. But the cherry on top you might ask? A Jar Jar bust with tongue out and thumbs up! :)
Although, they are running out if OT vehicles. (Which is why I'm concerned they are going to playsets as UCS sets...)
But I wouldn't mind a new Snowspeeder, or something from the new films and spin-offs. (Except the pumpkin X-wing. I could do without that.)
The theory goes that the last we heard from Jar-Jar (apart from an Episode 3 funeral scene cameo), he proposed emergency powers be given to Chancellor Palpatine, thus gaining favor with the future emperor. But after that, he mysteriously disappears....
Some wonder if he also was gifted with force powers, since he magically survives several sticky situations during the Battle of Naboo. If this were true, then this theory would make much more sense. Since he gained Palpatine's favor, Palpatine devoted time to refining his natural force abilities in the effort to eventually turn him to the dark side to become a Sith.
They say that George Lucas planned this. If so, I think it would be just to redeem this idiotic character. What do you guys think?
I imagine that the "This was planned by Lucas" is a shot at how much crap Lucas started shoe horning in.
I don't really like how ridiculous fan theories now often get passed around as 'news' on some lazy website, so my reaction to them is always negative
Yep!
They do still have all of the big Rebel ships other than the Blockade Runner. And Cloud City, which could be treated like a ship for the purpose of a UCS build. Fans would eat that up.
Jar-Jar as a brilliant general riding a dinosaur-pony makes so much more sense when you realise it's the creation of an eight-year old girl
Further proof it's needed
And if we look at the first one, I predict the new one will still be there after 2020 ;)
So I don't know if this is right but 75144 Snowspeeder is labelled UCS on the brickset database as is 75159 The Death Star and 75098 Assault on Hoth.
3 D2C in one year is a lot but I guess the death star is just replacing the death star so that could be the reason.
Getting excited...
It's labelled as UCS :-)
2- Lego is simply relentless this year. I mean just how many big sets can one purchase
3- I think some of the resellers will be needing DS box sized hugs very soon .. Yes this will affect the after market, no doubt there.
