Bought the heavy assault walker and rebellion bomber. Was underwhelmed after watching a YouTube video on the assault walker so probably taking it back and getting kylos tie fighter.

bb8 looks like one of the best star wars sets of the year, but for 100€, I expected more than 2 functions, even though they are cool

I just gotta say, the prices of Lego SW sets in the last few years is one of the most infuriating things to me. I understand that its a licensed theme and its gonna cost more to produce said sets, what with the cost of licensing and all, But come on, their selling some really small sets for double the price of what they would have been in the 90s/early 2000s. Needless to say I'm still a devoted Lego Maniac.

I'm with you there, especially with these Last Jedi sets. All quite a bit more expensive than I would have ever guessed. I went from buying most of them day one, to just two and then wait for sales on the rest.

Mind you waiting for sales is something I should do more often anyway!

Battlepack with 2x Phase 2 Clone troopers, Ki Adi Mundi, coleman Trebor
Yoda's hut with Yoda/Luke/r2-d2 (Luke with backpack for Yoda)
Grievous speeder with Clone wars grievous and Mace windu

Updated the post with the correct information. However I could be that the figures for the Battle Pack are going to be different as the prelim picture has episode 3 clone troopers, but Coleman Trebor dies in episode 2.

#75191 Jedi interceptor with Hyperdrive ring is on sale 30% off at TRU. $69.99. Can get lower with discounted gift cards if you have them or the 10% off Thursdays in the store with the TRU Credit Card.

Is it possible that we may get yet ANOTHER falcon in next year's Han Solo wave?

I would assume we would get another one.  Frankly, it surprises me that there are ever any gaps in Millennium Falcon availability.  (It's the police station of the SW world.)

Anyone getting into the hobby or coming of age to enjoy LEGO, and is a SW fan is going to want a Millennium Falcon.

I agree.  #7965 is basically what brought me back to Lego several years ago.  It looks amazing, and is a wonderful conversation piece/starter.

I'm kind of addicted to Lego Millennium Falcons. The #4504 was the one that brought me into the hobby properly.
I think the blue livery (if it turns out to be correct) is just about creating a point of difference, and isn't that how it appeared in that oh-so-tiny-blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in ROTS?
I'd have preferred to see it with more of the red markings, perhaps a Falcon design to make sense of how it appears in the OT... I can really see Lando having a customized paint job done!

Well according to the last news about the Han Solo movie, there will be a new color version of Millenium Falcon, so I am afraid that LEGO will do it, so we can have another MF next year ....

    how bad is #75177

The set has almost immediately gone to 20% off on Amazon and stayed there.  I look at it everyday and all I can help but think is that there is basically nothing at all appealing about that set.  It is just complete garbage from a design standpoint.

I kind of like it for its novel visual design and apparent inspiration (a Strandbeest), though based on the reviews I've seen it seems to do a somewhat poor job of simulating a much more complicated mechanism at a small scale.

I think TLG are binging out some great battlepacks.  The bounty Hunter set this year filled gaps in my collection.  Hopefully Coleman Trebor is making an appearance as I have his head but lost the body years ago.  And you can never have enough Tusken Raiders but they only seem to trickle through with only one in each set.  And I think I see a new Astromech droid which will make the set a must buy for me.

^ re your comment on the main site about the 71592 display case, I have a custom one on order in the same style as the LEGO shop display. It’s taken a few weeks to be produced but I’ll post images next week when it’s due to arrive.

^ I assume you're both talking about having the MilF on a stand, at an angle?
Not all the shop displays are the same. Leicester Sq, for example, has theirs sitting flat.

    @omnium
I was referring to something along the lines of this.

Preferably with slightly less excess free space surrounding the build and possibly with a brick built stand instead of what's holding it up in the picture but I like the idea.
Standing it upright will take up less of a footprint and with the right background I think it could look quite good.

So for those of you with multiple of a set (for example a republic gunship) do you recolor them at all? I recently got a republic dropship mostly complete, but it is missing bout 50% of the major dark blue parts. I already have a normal version, should I buy parts to make it into a second color or just keep it them same across the board?
  • Game_onGame_on Member Posts: 92
I say if you already have 1 complete then go wild and customize the other one. The incomplete one.

Now that the trailer is out and it confirms Kylo Ren's Shuttle from Episode VII, can we get a re-release with the foldable and black design.

That would be nice, but judging from the lack of set interest last time around (I saw many, many copies on clearance for 50% off, or even steeper discounts), I don't think it will happen. But a $200 UCS version would be very nice...

I'd take that AT-AT as the next UCS set, make it about the height of a great dane and I will walk it around the neighborhood on a leash.  I mean they have to one up the size and part count of the MF right?

The following is not Lego related, but if you are a Star Wars fan like myself then you might just be interested in this.

Brothers Hildebrandt were famous for the 1977 original Star Wars poster (even though some say it’s version 2 as they took the original design and modified it). Greg Hildebrandt is the surviving brother, and he has a gallery in the US spiderwebart.com, recently the gallery started to sell 1977 original Star Wars first run movie posters, a batch of 300. And as Greg was the original artist he has added a Remarque of Darth Vader, and signed the poster. Read the description below from their website:

Then for NYCC 2017 there was a pre order special, and you could have a limited edition 2nd Remarque of Chewbacca. (apparently 44 out of the 300 have the 2nd Remarque of Chewbacca) and it does look great, I have one hanging on my wall.

See below the image of these:

Now go go on eBay and see what people are asking for these...

But it doesn’t end there. As all the 300 posters are now sold, something else popped up on their website yesterday.
Apparently the gallery kept back the 15 artist proofs that Greg has done, and Greg has added 3 Remarque (Darth, Boba Fett, and Yoda) to these, and currently there is 12 still available (1 is currently over the Atlantic to go alongside my other).. They are more $ but for a fan of Star Wars this might be a very good chance to own an original first run 1977 Star Wars movie poster 20”x28” in mint condition, signed by the original artist.

    Below is the image of the limited 15 artist proof;

As as I mentioned at the start it might not be something everyone is interested in, but for me this is a great chance to own something that you cannot find everyday...

Went to the Lego Store today to pick up the new Finn brick head, and on the calendar they gave me I saw the new Darth Vader Pod! Good news, it runs through January so the the sets will get me at least one! Bad news is that it's just the same old Vader we've gotten a couple of times now. If you want pics, check out the new December calendar!
