Umm, do I need another one? :)
(I did try but no)
Are there any other sites which have this set which do send to other countries (Amazon doesn't)
btw the 10 is off but you can get a free classic Minifigure :)
Good deal though for someone that wants only one.
I really do believe that LEGO MSRP is purposefully higher so stores can put them on 'sale' to sell them for what Reatil should have been instead of a sale from that prices.. So sell an item for 160, then take 30 bucks off to knock it down to what it should cost instead of having it at 129.99, and put it on sale for lower, or do not put it on sale, etc...
If you talked them into lower it more, you got very lucky.
TRU did not jack up the price on this, although they do that often.
Took some doing though... forgot my password last night, so I clicked for a reset - twice, because I waited for the email, it never came, so I did it again. Then an email arrive, but the password didn't work, so I figured the second request killed the first but I was tired, couldn't wait for another email so went to bed. Morning came & I got the second email with the new password, VIOLA! Logged on, proceeded to shop. Tried to add a free LEGO item - done. Added $15 discount code - done. Went to add a $5 Reward code - Not Accepted!? Had to remove the free LEGO to get it to work, but it brought me down to $99.99. Free Shipping. YEAH! Tax $8.75. BOO! Grand total $108.74. YEAH! Checkout fail - BOO! Something happened and the order just dropped off the planet. Waited. After an hour I checked if an order showed on my account - nothing! Redid the whole thing - SUCCESS - the order went through -YEAH!! Finally! Never worked so hard for a deal, but it was worth it.
Eagerly waiting for train #3 to be added to my train barn.
However, if you look at all the sets TRU says are 25% off this week, they are 25% off the pre-big book sale prices so I'm not sure how far you could push your local TRU to follow the above logic.
I did push this issue today with the Creator Hillside House, its currently 25% off, plus $10 off any creator purchase over $50, and got the set for $69.99-$17.50 (25%) -$10 for a total of $42.49 before tax.
I believe TRU's intepretation will follow what @Ma1234 said.
