Red Five standing by...

Following on from my introduction thread (http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/20714/lock-s-foils-in-attack-position), I've just finished building #10240 Red Five X-wing Starfighter B)







What a great build! Looking at the built set it's amazing to think that the only unique part is the canopy. I wonder how long the designer took to design it?

A question for those who own #10240 and display it: How do you keep it dust free? Do you have a display case or put it in a display cabinet? The puredisplay case is eye-wateringly expensive, and the IKEA display cabinets don't seem big enough...

You could buy a clear plastic box and just pop it over the top. I know someone who has one for his Deathstar. Nice model, needs the UCS TIE Fighter to go alongside it.

unfortunately, mine just get really dusty.  The UCS XWing UCS TIE and UCS Slave 1 are all on display next too each other on my desk at work.  All collecting plenty of dust no doubt

I'm a Armor Crewman (M1-A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank). On my first tour to Iraq I was the Platoon Leades Gunner, but was doing patrols as a Tank Commander. Typical Armor Company has three platoons, 1st (Red), 2nd (White), and 3rd (Blue). Each platoon has 4 tanks. I was in 1st Platoon so our Tanks Commaders had the call signs Red 1, 2, 3, and 4. When I was doing my own missions I made my own call sign as Red 5.....yeah I thought it was cool.

I love this set as well. Mine is out in the open and collects dust but it is pretty easy to blow it off with canned air, etc.
