Closer examination revealed that it was the token from a Monopoly set :(
Someone a short drive from me is selling the Queen Anne’s Revenge for £70. Typical. I’ve messaged him to see if he’ll take a PayPal deposit but I doubt he will.
Or maybe they collected during their exercise session, staying 2m apart while collecting from the doorstep.
I found four packs of these hidden away in a box in a box in a drawer. I knew I had some somewhere, I don't think I'd seen these ones since about 2014.
I message her just now to see what's going on. She says SOLD & it was picked up already 😡🤬😡
#8034 ($78 on Bricklink)
#8840 ($20 on BL)
#8720 ($105 on BL & the ONLY ONE in the USA)
all for.$10. 😫😫😫
Sorry you weren't able to snag it!
"Doesn't understand" PayPal or Venmo, or that he can just give me his address & leave the damn thing outside & through the wizardry of Google Maps I'll exchange it for the cash. Told him I've done it SEVERAL times that way.
Have gone back & forth with him all week on it (communication spotty at best). Told him the best time for me to pickup was the past 2 days. Now he says his wife is sick & "doesnt want to deal with this right now." "DEAL" with what??? It's not even a hassle!!

it's in Stillwater MN even though the FB Mktplace listing says Grantsburg Wisc (which I was ALSO willing to travel to). If you'd even like to pass it on to me I can deal in your favor- you'd have earned it by actually getting it away from this goofball.
(Also to somebody who, only yesterday, was "livid" that they had missed out on another Facebook marketplace sale, and doesn't seem to understand that that's all par for the course of buying things this way.)
It's literally no hassle for him, ailing wife or not. He hasn't stated he's "uncomfortable" with ANY of my "solutions" to his made-up problems. $50 is $50, my money is ready & waiting for him & he has to do the bare minimum.
& where did I write "outside the door"? Obviously he'd put it in a secure place & then tell me where it is. He could do that ONE MINUTE before I showed up. Surely you can see how easy this is for him. I didnt even suggest we meet halfway- God knows how confusing THAT would be for him.
Oh, & this is NOT "par for the course"- I wrote I have done SEVERAL deals this way; in fact that is the norm for me.
Don't twist my facts to fit your personal narrative, please.
Is that better, Sir ben of bacardi? 🤣🤣
By God, if someone is gonna advertise selling something (at a GREAT PRICE at that) & have the ad up OVER A WEEK, he better damn well make himself accessible & work WITH potential buyers.
"I have 4 large boxes of original Legos from the 80’s and 90’s. Most of the sets are complete. They range from space LEGO’s, knights and castles, ships. Off road vehicles. All of the original LEGO’s are here. I am happy to split them up or sell the entire package. 400 or best offer."
I signed into OfferUp yesterday evening (as I do multiple times throughout the day) to see that someone had posted a complete #10225 for $50 only 14 minutes previous to me signing in. BUT, as fate would have it, it had already sold.
Not only would I have saved money and been able to put all my parts back, but I would have had those dang brown hoses too. Darn you fate! DARN YOU!!!
It never turned up, it's now been two weeks and after much correspondence and apologies on both sides I've now been refunded my £40.
How often do parcels just disappear in the post? Or did he sell it to someone else for a higher price? Genuinely baffled (and a bit disappointed).
I fairly regularly get buyers from abroad asking me for a tracking number, and I have to tell them that it's only with the postage method marked as 'tracked' that they opted not to use, hahah. Not quite that sarcastically, but yeah...
BOOO! It was ordered on October 20th when it was in stock. Lego should have made sure it would be reserved for the order. Letting one thing go out of stock while the other is delayed is incredibly disappointing.
