Today I saw a 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle for 120 dollars, but was incomplete, and no manuals. Still a pretty good deal though. It ended soon after I looked at it.

Re-reading this thread, Im kinda really regretting not defying orders & grabbing that $10 Hogwart's. Im prerty sure I told/showed my wife its value (I always do) & she STILL shut me down.

Set #75094 is the one that got away. I remember I was just getting back into Lego at the time and my choice was either this or the Imperial Star Destroyer. I ended up getting the Destroyer.

    I missed the ISD. :-/

By the way, #74094 is available for less than RRP on BrickLink, although maybe somewhat higher in Netherlands. Very nice set.

The gif is relevant to the post.  It is not superfluous or meant to annoy.

I've seen some good deals under RRP that also worth it to ship to the Netherlands, but I have other Lego priorities at the moment. Maybe in the future.

Guy at boot sale on Saturday for a Simpson's house for £55. If only I had been 60 seconds earlier.

On Black Friday (2018), S@H had sales on both the Detectives Office and Brick Bank. I simply didn't have the funds to get both at the same time. After a long time of thinking which one I would go for, and which one, in my mind, would go better with my 10243, I went for the Detective's Office, and I'm so glad to have it! But I still love the Brick Bank, just as much as the DO and really want it - and now I'm going to have to probably Bricklink all the pieces for it...

Seeing both #76021 and #76032 at a K-Mart (yes a K-Mart) about a year ago in my homeland. And not being able to buy them as they were a tad overpriced and I didn't have space in my luggage to bring them with me. Yeah I still regret it.

Green Grocer. Started to collect when Fire Brigade was available, but at that time I was unaware of the huge collector's commitment modular buildings turn into one day. So also missed the opportunity to get it at a reasonable price at that time despite the fact it was no longer available in stores. Frankly speaking I do not miss Café Corner at all, probably due to the completely lacking interior.

Probably 2012s Arkham Asylum. I'd only got back into Lego around that time and the only sets I was buying were the modulars. I loved the look of it then and am kicking myself I never got it. Horizon Express is another one too.

Missed out on a #9465 The Zombies on FB Marketplace today. The seller was asking £25 for it! Sadly, it had already sold by the time I'd sent a message.

Missed out on Avatar Air Temple #3828, new and sealed on eBay for $282. I’ve been watching a Fire Nation Ship #3829 listing for months and the Air Temple popped up as a new listing and it was sold within 5 hours. I already have a used set of it, so I hesitated and now I’m kinda kicking myself for missing out on a sealed version for such a good price.

Myer's eBay store has a bunch of rare, mint sets from 2012-15ish, priced wayyy below their actual value. Was on the verge of buying #10226 Sopwith Camel for just A$72, only for someone to point out there was no 'buy' button! I guess you could call that 'getting away', even if it was never there in the first place...

Missed this nearby lot over the weekend, everything was $5 each except top left ($15) & middle left ($20). My wife took too long giving permission & they were snatched up within minutes.

I had a SDCC 2012 Bilbo Baggings with map and bag. Got it cheaply through an Ebay auction, paid like 250. Seller sent it really nicely, wrapped in cardboard and everything. It was lying on the sofa, I just bought a frame for it. Then it was the evening before old paper was collected, and my husband collected all paper in the house he thought needed to be thrown away. he did not notice there was a very valuable map and minifig in the piece of cardboard on the sofa....
I litarally cried and never found the set again.
If anyone has it and wants to sell, please do contact me

^ Well this is true, given we're on the Internet, even if I'm more likely to believe a story on Brickset than elsewhere. @thehoarder Are you sure it was a chrome one and not a regular one?

Why would you go to and look at stuff at an estate sale if you don't have any money on you?

I bet they would take cards, imagine carrying cash to potentially pay for large items. I rarely use paper money now 😬

What is this paper money you speak of?  If it doesn't have a chip and a bunch of random numbers on a piece of plastic, it ain't money to me!

Should've swapped your bike for it, then gone home and got your wallet and bought the bike back!

Never actually used it, but my banking app lets me take cash out at an ATM without having my card.  Would be pretty handy on occasions like this.

what do you mean. sorry when i said white i meant it was in a white poly. what did you mean by your comment?
Inside joke. A few years ago a user claimed to have acquired a white rangefinder element with his promotional white Boba Fett minifigure, which should have come with a regular grey one. He refused to either admit he was lying or post a photo of the piece, and eventually he was banned for making too much of a fuss over such a silly topic (among other reasons). Yeah, we like to make fun of banned users.

Very useful function of the mobile app! Once drove nearly 3 hours to Cleethorpes in the car with two little 'uns only to find on arrival I'd left my wallet at home! Quick search for nearest cashpoint that accepted this and soon there were two little kids smothering their faces with icecream so I could get change for the carpark!

Many estate sales around here at least only take cash and checks. Or at least that’s how it used to be.

You’ve trodden in an old inside joke. If you are curious, try searching “white range finder boba fett”.
