I don't scan Craigslist list like I used to so was too late to jump on this gem. If the link is down, it was a dusty 10210 Imperial Flagship for $100.00.
6090 Royal Knight's Castle with box - $40
Missed these by a day.
on the 9th. 1 week ago.
ah well.... missed that one.....
(Me...in 2029.)
They apparently gave away a Tower Bridge, Taj Mahal, Green Grocer, Town Hall, and Grand Emporium.
Free.
As in no money.
I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw it..then a lot more when I saw it was already gone...
I died a little inside. Had it on my watch list and had an alarm set (it ended at like 4 in the morning) but apparently slept through the alarm. I realize most people would say this looks like a scam (low feedback/foreign country but his feedback is from selling lego and I messaged the seller and he was very friendly and sent me multiple pictures with the ship and his ebay name. I woke up this morning and immediately knew I messed up big time.
I had it in my cart yesterday from Amazon and just couldn't pull the trigger, even though it was a set I was tempted to buy during its early release period.
Considering my backlog and lack of space though, this may be a blessing in disguise.
It posted on OfferUp. I responded within 15 minutes of the post, and it was already gone. GIVE ME A BREAK LEGO GODS!!!!!
Grand Emporium
Market Street
Parisian Restaurant
Detective Office
Pet Store
Palace Cinema
Town Hall
At least 5 older Creator Houses/Buildings
About 25lbs of other loose bricks
Now, I honestly don't have the $400 anyway, but messaged the seller to work something out. Of course someone is on their way now and lives considerably closer than I.
*sigh* and my dream of owning modulars (and Market Street...ha) slips through the fingers.
It did look a lot like a lego city that had a divorced baseball bat taken to it. I'll just have to convince myself sell the pieces were broken (Just like my soul)
However he was a block away from where I used to live a couple years back, now a 2hr drive, so I couldn’t just pop over garage sale style. SO I messaged him politely asking for prices but calling them out by set number (perhaps a smarter way to do it would’ve been just to say I’ll take what’s left even with a high cost & sort it out later).
That was enough to prompt the guy to look up what he actually had & how much it was worth, and pull the ad before he sold any more. Oops. No deals for me. But maybe a good deed for the day if he goes through & lays out what he has at prices closer to what it’s worth.
I was brushing my teeth, about to start the 2 hr trip thru a slippery snowy Rush Hour.
Did you actually ask the guy to message you if does intend to sell? I’d be interested in following the story - #106 is my white whale!
