Having spent a long weekend in the back-end of beyond mountain biking, I completely missed the TRU 342 and Amazon price matching deals :-(

Is there anyone who (over) filled their boots and is now looking looking to off-load any sets? Particularly sore about missing out on:

8679 Tokyo International Circuit for £39.99 - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=8679-1
7965 MF - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7965-1
7964 Republic Frigate - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7964-1
7879 Hoth Echo Base - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7879-1

It was proceeded by 7 days of feeling awful, an entire week off work and I wasn't even well enough to do normal skiving activities like play games and build LEGO. Anyway, I was so out of it, I wasn't even aware these deals were going on, and there was absolutely no phone signal whatsoever within a 10 mile radius of where I was staying, in this day and age I tell thee, it's not right!

Dalby Forest in Yorkshire, 23 mile route, it was one of the toughest rides of my life given my weakened condition but it was a great trail and the weather was indeed kind.

Are you trying to tarnish the public's image that AFOL have taken years to build?! ;oP

    Lucky sod!!

Off topic, but sorry - me too!

Went to the LookOut yesterday. Pic of brother's front wheel attached. Needless to say we walked back to the car!

Serves him right for buying a bike for £75 in the sale last year!!! Having experienced mine yesterday, I think he too will now be out to spend a fair whack more. Lesson learnt!

i always like to think about lego when going round Ae Line trail or the Black route at Glentress :-)

Glentress? Dalby? you guys are teasing me, jammy so and sos

Took my son in the trailer at the weekend, was his first time ever out biking with me, managed a 3h jaunt, which is the longest Ive managed since becoming a dad. Not exactly a 'proper' ride but fun anyway despite the lack of berms.

    @atkinsar, 8679 is still half price (£39.99) for in-store pick-up at TRU.
  • Si_UKNZSi_UKNZ Member Posts: 4,179
plus the MF is still pretty cheap at amazon
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258
^^ no stock anywhere near me I'm afraid.

^ was hoping to do a bit better than £99.99.

Out of stock near me I'm afraid. :(
I also missed out on the deals, I was doing my best to resist, and now regret not picking up the super cheap games.

Big thanks to @kevbags for sorting me out with 8679, much appreciated!

Lol. I'll cancel the one I just reserved at Reading then. :o)
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258
^ thanks for thinking of me though James. Funnily enough, Reading was the closest store to me that had stock i.e. not very close at all!

^ Is that as well as or instead of the DS? :)
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827
As well! Okay, you got me! Maybe it can under the tree for the family. Daddy might enjoy that one! Much better than the pants and socks I think he's got! :o/
