MetalBeard full body minifig

I have collected almost all of The Lego Movie minifigs (The only exceptions are the promotional cinema set (9 minifigs) and the only "unique" figure there was Vitruvius and he was easily custom built. I plan to display the approx. 120 minifigs together in a large Ikea frame. Some of the minifigs are a bit more cumbersome (Lord Business from #70809, MetalBeard). To get MetalBeard on display I thought about putting him in his full bodied minifig version. Have any of you tried to make a custom MetalBeard before? Can anyone help me identify the parts required or were they produced for the film only?

Looks like the Series 8 CMF Pirate body.

Agreed on the CMF torso being the Series 8 Pirate.

It's been a while since I tried, but I seem to recall the actual metal beard does not match up with a minifig body very well. As with many things in the movie, there are some liberties taken with what's physically possible with LEGO.

I just looked into doing it since I have an exta S8 CMF Pirate.  The actual metal beard has a 1x2 plate connection behind the neck so that creates an awkward looking minifig.

Had a look there at the metal beard piece. What a nuisance! I am going to get a spare S8 CMF pirate body and buff away the neck to almost nothing then using a neck mounted holder like Emmer has for the Piece of Resistance, I will attach the beard. It should hopefully look like the beard is in the correct position.

Looking at the scene in the movie, his head does seem to sit pretty high.

If it's in a display, you really only need to worry about getting it to look right from the front, I guess.

Here's the best I could come up with.
