Nice Parts Usage! Week Five: The Game is Afoot

Good morning, and welcome to Nice Parts Usage!, the new game in the forum. In this game, I will pick out a brick and you will come up with clever new ways to use it or show ways you have used it before. Unfortunately, I cannot provide prizes at this time, but you may donate a polybag or something to the winner. You will have all week to submit entries and I will choose the winner next Sunday and start the next episode.

This weeks part is...

411428 Magnifying Glass!

This part was introduced in 1998 and has been in 34 sets. I think you can do marvelous things with this. So get building! This has been...

I've got a red glass one and a grey frame one. Not really a matching pair.

I'm going to be a troll and point out the fact that you should change the word "brick" in your description of the game to "element". You haven't picked a brick yet.

Okay, I'm with my collection and I have seven: 4 old style, 2 grey and 1 new style from the Mystery Machine set. @Fauch how are you getting on?
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,662
    I don't have a lot of ideas...

I wanna do something that's either on a boat or maybe attempt a Minion. I suspect something on a boat will be easier so I'll have a go at that tomorrow

I think that sums up the ideas which came to my mind...

I must admit the thought 'let's see what I can do tomorrow' has occured several times this week  ;)

it's not a complete model, it's just so you get the idea. only used existing color, shame there are no gold magnifying glasses.

and yeah, the "windows" (forgot the english name) can be open.

    Portholes.

What pieces are you using behind the the portholes so that there is a round hole to look through?

2x2 panel with window. not round but they are the closest to the size of the magnifying glass that I found. I also tried the 2x2 donut tile, but the hole is very small.

These are all very cool. I may not have time to write up my next one, but I know what it is.
