I could be remembering wrong but I think Lego has used "big bang" to describe their emphasis themes like ninjago and later chima. Perhaps their corporate speak made it into the placeholder text for these books.

This would appear to tie into the mega-list of potential 2016 lists that popped up on BP and thebrickfan tonight.  Note all the "BB" sets - would align with Big Bang.  Looks like a new "house brand" is coming in early 2016!  http://www.thebrickfan.com/possible-lego-2016-set-list/

Yes they use it for their big multimedia product ranges.  How very intriguing to see it used here!
Sounds like the replacement for Ultra Agents maybe?

That list of sets looks great by the way! Creator Lakeside Lodge and Corner Deli - yes please! Corner Deli sounds a good shout for next year's modular and I'd be very happy with that, if it is in the spirit of GG.

    Replacent for Chima/Ninjago/Agents?

They wouldn't stop Ninjago with the film coming out next year would they?
  • Kevin_HyattKevin_Hyatt Member Posts: 778
You're right: they'll certainly have Ninjago Movie sets.  I thought Ninjago Movie was 2017 and next year was Movie 2 or Batman though.

Completely overlooked 'Corner Deli' as a potential modular.

I suppose that means they really did retire the GE... and aren't DS'ing...

There is a high proportion of corners in the Lego Modular City!

The release seems to be 1 corner building and two street buildings and 1 corner building since the mod line started. I see no reason why they would stop now, so a corner deli makes sense. I wonder if this is a mini-mod creator set or the mod itself.

I haven't paid much attention to the non-modular Creator playsets, but do they release more than one per year?

Eh, a Deli just two sets after the Parisian Restaurant? Seems odd.

There is a new line rumoured to be replacing chima, which is a castle line with a bit of sci-fi with media like a tv show or something.

Unlikely a Modular would be in a list like this as these tend to come from retailer catalogs and the like. Exclusive sets are not included with those. The deli will probably be akin to the smaller 3-in-1 Creator buildings like the bike shop and the current grocer one.

It looks like you are correct - the 'Deli' is priced at EUR 34.99 according to thebrickfan.com

I think Nexo Knights is probably this big bang theme.

Shame if the delivery is not the next modular.  I'd have liked that

I think the Deli would most likely be akin to the Bike Shop/Cafe and Toy Shop/Grocery Shop sets. I could be wrong but I thought Modulars don't generally end up on these lists because of the exclusive tag.

The price point is way too low to be a modular.
