Lego Early VIP access what is it?

i've been looking on various sites at new Lego and i've noticed that VIP's can get early access so does that mean simply that when the set i want is released to VIP's early i just go into the Lego store show my VIP card and ask for the set i'm after ( as it wont be on the shelves) what do you do?

To get an early release is easy:
1. Spot the employee with the distinctive marking on his uniform, for next month release, it is a green rose pin.
2. Confirm it is the right employee by saying (in a very soft voice not to be heard) "What color is the moon tonight ?", if s/he answers "Butterfly lollipops" you have the right person
3. Follow by the secret handshake (over-over-point-under-slap-point % release)
4. Discretly give him the marked envelope (provided to you by your local underground LUG) containing your VIP card and Credit Card then exit the store like you didn't find anything you were looking for
5. Go into the parking lot at the back of the store, the employee will be waiting for you, grab the back, don't check anything until you are safely in your car our out of sight from the store.
6. Voila, you have your access to a set early
OR grab one from the shelf ;-)
