Im not blaming Lego it's the courier I blame as I'm sure they must throw it about like a football not good enough in my book you work hard save up and it turns up damaged :-(

Only once and Lego were happy to replace. It might be the Courier's fault but the contract to deliver your order in one piece is with Lego, not DHL or whoever. You're well within your rights to ask them to refund or replace.

Lego is to blame. They choose the packaging, what sets are put into each box and also which courier to use.

Yup, the last 2 out of 3 orders were damaged.  I returned one when I made it out to the store.  The other I just kept because it is currently out of stock (santa's toy shop).  I normally don't care about the box but once the manager gave me a hard time about an item that I was returning because a tiny bit of the image was ripped off from the side due to gift wrapping.  Yes, I am a bitter old man.

I've not had one, but I did have an order once that had the "potential" to be damaged - it was one of those, lets-stick-the-promo-at-the-bottom-of-the-box type do's.  Luckily the large set was fairly light, so it was a non-issue.

In my part of the UK TLG use a courier service which leaves items outside the front door. They often don't knock. This is especially annoying when they leave items out in the rain. Since TLG have been told about this a number of times and continue to use that courier service it really is their fault.

Somebody, and everybody they know (because they live in the same area), might have bad experience of a individual courier, but the company itself may be excellent overall.

90% of mine are damaged, crushed because they put too much air packs, while it is fine at sea level, they inflate with altitude and crush everything in the box...

There's the odd problem and there's consistent and reported problems with no action.

Do you really think LEGO cares? If they are getting a good deal on price with this company, they will continue to use it. Their profits aren't big enough.

Ha, we get what we pay for, lol....dont most of us buy amounts that qualify for free shipping?
The promo things are funny, we say dont put them on the bottom, but when shipped, the box flips around so the top can be the bottom, as well as a side! :)
