Target: Lego Dimensions Pre-Order Deal(?)

pansyppansyp Member Posts: 93
This week's Target ad is offering 25% off any video game when you reserve a game for $1.  Lego Dimensions is shown. Unclear if you can reserve for a $1 and then use the 25% off when you pick it up in Sept.  If so, would be worth it. I may stop in at Target later day to see what the deal is...if anyone else finds out, let us know!

Turned out to be a good way to get $15 off Lego Jurassic World.

can you reserve a game and then cancel the reservation later? Sounds unethical, but I'm just curious.

    It's literally $1......

Yes it's $1 that's all. And there's no competition on picking up the game no names or anything.
It most just tell the stores how much they need

you can buy the card and through it away and target will not care or know.

They just give you a card you have to redeem? Seems like there should be a little something more than that. What if you lose your card? I mean, the dollar is no big deal, but say you missed out on a preorder bonus because of it?

I believe that the receipt will also work for redemption if you lose the card.

for the last two years, you have been able to pick up both Skylanders and Infinity starter base packs for 50% off on Black Friday.  There's no guarantees of course, but I think it's reasonable to assume we'll see the same this year, including Dimensions.
