Bricklink Catalog Submission

vitreolumvitreolum Member Posts: 1,406
I'm really frustrated right now with the catalog submission on BL, I've tried submitting some polys and figs but they never showed up. I guess I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what.

Anyone can explain how that works? My main interest is to add the 6212 variant of smooth hair leia, since people keep saying I have the wrong one and a polybag.

Do you have pictures?  The catalog administrators don't approve things they can't see.  IIRC the smooth hair Leia was decided to be a factory error not a different mold, so its unlikely they will approve it as a variant.  You can also post on the BL forum and most likely get a direct answer from the catmins.  Just remember they are volunteers, so be nice.

I seem to recall smooth hair Leia being discussed there before and a catmin saying it would not be added.

Yep, I've always linked to pictures.

They should at least add both versions in the same entry at least, it's confusing for customers... and frankly I think a few that asked didn't really believe me.

I have just raised this again with Bricklink under a catalog request, as the smooth hair variant of Leia (sw113) that comes with the X-Wing 6212 is not catalogued, whereas the sw175a variant that comes with Tantive IV is catalogued.
