Anyone tried to build a UCS-style display stand for 10179 Millennium Falcon

Hey all.

I've entertaining the idea of trying to build a UCS display stand for my beloved 10179. I'd love trying something that angles the ship upward a even banks it to one side a little bit.

Anyone tried doing this? If so would you mind sharing a few pics, details, trials and tribulations?

If I go ahead, my ultimate goal would be to reduce the footprint somewhat. Given the size of 10179 resting on it's landing gear, even a stand with a base of 24x24 studs would be a great improvement, and be able to be positioned on a credenza-type shelf without too much trouble.

The obvious downside to this whole idea is lesser stability. it'd be a nightmare if it was knocked to the ground :(

There is a picture floating around of someone mounting it on a wall TV bracket.

I myself would love to build a shadow box coffee table made out of glass and displaying it in there with the docking bay moc as shown on rebrickable.

I known I've seen fish tank coffee tables somewhere. I wonder if those would work to display the Falcon

Here's the guy the mounted it on a TV bracket. Doesn't look too hard to do.

Thanks for your replies. I've seen the wall mount before, however I'm not looking for that kind of solution.

@lobot That is a deceptively simple solution (and in fact looks to be the same shelf that I have :). Might be one way to go although ideally I'd want to remove the landing gear if I could. That stand does allow for the ship to be easily removed and placed on a flat surface of needed.

    Thanks again!
Any other suggestions or ideas welcomed!

Something like this would work well.
