    $13 special?!
  • sklambsklamb Member Posts: 516
Never mind, folks, I can't tell a 2 from a 3 any more. Although #10223 is a nice set for those that like castles, even though it has the older style horses, and at 20% off the price-per-piece cost is excellent!

No, but when the OP posted they were 5.99 USD.

I notice that #10223 Kingdoms Joust is on sale at s@h in the US for Cyber Monday. Some other new items on sale as well, but none of them mentioned on this thread :-)

Yeah posted in another thread as well.
If I did not have one of those I would have pounced, but got a bunch when they still were discounted by other retailers and got my fill then. Good price for anyone that was waiting

    Aaaaaand she's gone.

Even if it's officially retired, I don't think we'll have to wait very long for the next version to hit store shelves. Very narrow window.

arghhh cannot decide whether to pick up an opera house.... have a feeling it will do well based on the fact no one is buying it because its just not got that wow factor.. But for my small level investing I have a rule that I only buy sets that I would also like myself so if I change my mind I can actually keep it :D

What to do... 4 hours to decide before it goes back up!

Great set, but not sure it is 319.99 USD great

^^From an investment point, I'd pass on SOH and go with other better candidates. The high RRP will present obstacles later on for fast growth imo.
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
^True, but Opera is in low demand right now. I believe it's only temporarily gone though, the Chinese will make Opera explode within the next decade. What will happen to SOH when that happens, who knows?

On a side note, reselling is getting boring, it seems so 2011 now. Does anyone else feel this way?

^^I'm selling off the last of my duplicates over the next couple weeks leading up to Xmas. I'm done thinking about the hoard of boxes that 'one day' I'll sell off and make space for.

I went through my Lego "vault" and came across some large boxes that were not marked.

I opened them to find sets I never knew I had. I knew I had the CC and GG, but I didn't know about the others. Also, stuffed along the sides of the sets were a tanker teuck and a delivery truck from 3 years ago. Crazy!!!

@pitfall69 - if you find a Taj Mahal in your vault, let me know.
  • littlepuppilittlepuppi Member Posts: 181
Wow, you should put them into nice finds.. Caved in and ordered a SOH.. 200 quid with a free set which is a nice one seems to me as likely to be as good as it gets....

I know for sure I don't have that. My point is that I have a serious problem and the reseller side is overpowering the collector side of me. When you don't know what is part of your collection or what is for resale; you have a problem.

I am sure a lot of us have the same problem. There are times that I will receive a package and never open it. I just throw it into the storage area and it is forgotten.

Isn't #7965 still in stores? I have 2 Walmarts that have them sitting on shelves. Not that I want them, not at $139.97

It's pretty much done. Lego S@H is "Sold Out". With that said, it's such a popular set that has been out for around 3.5 years that it can probably be found still without much searching. Once it's gone on Amazon I think we'll see it go up in value. I have two that I want to sell. As a model it doesn't do much for me so I will be able to let it go easily unlike some other sets that I buy to resell but instead keep.

Blue baseplates are gone from US S@H and now Amazon.

I just imagine what people that bought Tan 32x32 baseplates for 10-15 dollars each are going to think when they see them for 4.99 or 5.99 USD.
Did I miss something? Are tan baseplates coming out in retail packaging?

S@H EU has listed more than 80 sets with status "Call to check availability...". Many sets from themes like City, Creator, Chima and Friends. Some from SW and Technic.

    remarkable sets:
    #75021 Republic Gunship
    #75019 AT-TE
    #75005 Rancor Pit

Seems that Lego clean out their inventory...
  • BrickarmorBrickarmor Member Posts: 1,258
Yep, both #75019 and #9493 gone from US S@H. Pet Shop, Orthanc, and TB keep bouncing around, but I'm betting on PS being available through next year.
  • stevemackstevemack Member Posts: 934
Thoughts on Orthanc? Hasn't gone to sold out yet in the UK, just keeps getting a date when new ones will be available

I see stuff that will be likely going EOL but nothing that drives me to purchase any of it.
TB, I have a couple when I could get them on sale. Not buying anymore at RRP.
SW Falcon? I have 2, that is all Im getting as everyone and their sister is likely hording these and Im guessing another will be out as early as next fall in preparation for the Epi 7.
Tower? Again great set, probably will do somewhat well (I mean loTR line has not exactly been blowing up to huge aftermarket prices) but again too pricey for me at this point.
AT-TE? I do not see much of a demand after it goes.
Rancor pit is likely one that should do well, but without the palace is it really as good as it could be, and I do not believe the palace is exactly doing gang busters (last I checked). Then you also have the fact, again, that anything SW and there are probably a ton of folks buying to horde because they think they will make their 'millions' off of SW LEGO.
Pet Shop is likely here until late summer, early Winter, like GE was this season. I think once it goes it will be pretty quick though as, never mind the speculators, it is a nice set IMO.
Aside from what is gone already (TH HH GE) I do not see anything that I must immediately run to LEGO to buy before it is gone.
Winter Village Market- May do well, but at 99 USD for a assortment of little shops, not sure how well it will do EOL. I think a good indicator is seeing it still around this far into the holiday season (pretty sure the Cottage was gone by the same time last year, but not sure)

What about the Arkham Asylum in the UK? Lego says sold out but it was still available at Smyths yesterday, has this set officially gone EOL?
  • BrickarmorBrickarmor Member Posts: 1,258
Arkham has left the building. Sold out now at US S@H. Good lord, what a year.

Question is: Is it 'sold out' like gone for good, or 'sold out' because of the recent sales (and offering Jor-El with DC sets)?
My guess is sold out for good, but would not be surprised to see it going back and forth from sold out to back order a couple of times before it is truly gone.

From what I would consider fairly reliable sources on this forum, it is around for another year. Along with the Death Star

Sold out for good. Now, it may pop up here and there because someone found some stock in the back, but it is gone.

For any UK buyers AA is still available in Smyths for RRP, stock online and in a lot of stores. Can't see it lasting long.

It will do really well in the aftermarket, it's a great set.

Yep...that was the set I purchased to get the free 2 of 2 Christmas set (and the Jor-El polybag) this past Friday. It arrived yesterday and sold out today. I guess the old saying is true that even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.

@Pitfall69 - I'm still drooling over the images you posted of the GG and CC sets you found buried in your boxes.

I actually had a GG in hand in my house just before it EOL'd, and found out when it arrived that it was drop shipped by a less than reputable company using someone else's credit card. I knew nothing about drop shipping, but smelled a rat. I called TLG about it and promptly returned the set. By the time the dust settled, the GG was EOL'd and I was on TLG's "watch list" just because I was unfortunate enough to use the wrong reseller. I was a pure novice at the time (regarding sellers), but quickly learned what to look thanks in part to this site.
