    A little OT (but hey, it's this thread). Lululemon trying to ban reselling. We can debate LEGO's policy, but don't restrict yoga pant access for women!

    Interesting to see how such a thing will play out.

    Even more interesting is the realization that there is a guy in this world who has spent $10,000 in yoga pants.

    Yep I read that too and was thinking how expensive are these yoga pants? That or he's doing it wrong.

    This thread has gotten really far off base...

    My question is how soon do we find out that something has been EOLed? Does it just kind of happen one morning, and then everyone scrambles to find the remaining items?

    ^-- Basically. It appears some members seem to have an inside track to seeing what is likely going to be gone and are kind enough to say something (at least their predictions are pretty spot on at times). That and also most sets usually EOL at end of year (beginning around mid to late November). There are exceptions to this rule if the set is an exclusive (Zombies and Helicopter and limo sets)
    That or watching LEGO if something goes to retired product on their site, it is likely gone. It used to be once it said 'Sold out' on LEGO.com it meant it was usually gone, but not anymore. We have seen items sold out, and even disappear from LEGO.s site temporarily to come back in stock.
    This is why this thread has existed (I mean it does have 'predictions on discontinuing sets...' in the title) and really has become the lynchpin on Bricksetforum IMO.

    It's not that far off base. What @Shouldaville brought up was yoga pants sure, but the principle involved is something we have speculated on Lego taking a hard line on (and they have already with some individuals).

    Short answers to your questions: We don't...and yes.

    Long answers: Sometimes we have indicators ([email protected] labeling it retired, retailers clearancing it out, etc.), but nothing is ever certain until it actually happens...and yes, assuming it's worthwhile to scramble for.

    The EOL question comes up frequently. We should have a FAQ thread located at the top of the Buying and Selling Topics. That way newbies can just go to that instead of waiting for an answer or sift through 362 pages :)

    Well we can't make it too easy for them. We need a paid section for the board where we can keep all the good info hush hush. I would be willing to share alot more if we did.

    Not exactly sure what they are, but they are expensive. That is the lululemon brand is pricy. Way pricy. Shoot I'd resell them too! Used yoga pants, only worn once a week, now only $50.00. :-)

    You know somewhere on the internet there'll be a predictions on discontinuing yoga pants thread where a bunch of soccer moms are baffled that there are people spending thousands of dollars a month on plastic building toys. They might even have some pictures of rolled up yoga matts and be making jokes about how their lesser halves use them for self gratification.

    For what it is worth, my wife loves these things, very comfortable for working out, chasing the kids around, and just hanging around the house.

    Actually there is a hot deals forum (not specifically lego) which has an inner circle. I'm sure long timers are aware of it.

    Lululemon is quite expensive actually, for what you get (quality wise). Loads of my friends are into the brand. But I can't really talk, 'cause like... I buy Lego.

    But the founder (CEO? Owner?) is kind of a douche... there were loads of complaints at one point about the quality, because if you're paying that much for yoga pants, they should not pill easily or be see through... but what he said was that women are wearing them wrong, essentially calling them fat... even people who were wearing supposedly the correct size.

    Yoga pants are a little different than trackies or joggers I think, that's what we would call tracksuit bottoms or sweats (sweatpants). I'm not really sure if there's really am equivalent in the UK, they don't seem that common. I usually make a point of having to go to Victoria's Secret when I visit home to buy a pair for the year.

    Um, so... that Lego... yeah (sorry about the tanget, move along, move along!)

    If you could design some pants that meant I could build Lego with my kids sat on the floor without my legs dieing on me you'd make a fortune. I used to be able to do it all day. Now after an hour I can't get up again!

    You need some carpet layers knee pads. An hour a time on our wooden floors is all my knees can take.

    After the last few posts, I try my first LEGO build in yoga pants. I am impressed, it was comfortable wedgy free even when trying to pick up a piece that drop on the floor. Those pants should on every LEGO fan wish list.
