Awesome, I just purchased 20 of them.

As for it being sold out, it all depends.. LEGO could always change that back to backorder'ed
actually, don't get one, I will and let you know the price in a couple of years :)
We now know what is EOLing pretty much: look at the after-Xmas LEGO Store sale list. It's essentially an EOL list. Lots of City sets gone after a year...
And with city sets, that's a pretty obvious conclusion. City sets have a very consistent timeline from launch to EOL. Very, very rare for those to last longer than 24 months.
City sets actually have extremely inconsistent timelines and it's very common for them to be out for three or more years. The surprising thing this year is that many are being discontinued after only one year. Sets like the airport and city car lasted three; the fire pickup is finally leaving and was introduced circa 2006-07, and the train sets are entering year four. Many police sets are entering year #3.
City set #7741 is in the 2013 assortment, entering its sixth year on the market.
On the other hand, Episode II was so brutally bad, I don't even remember how Jango came to be rolling around under the reek to begin with... but I'm sure it made as much sense as picking a fight with a Jedi.
The truth is, the Jedi's abilities are so wildly all over the place that it is hard to tell just what they can and can't do.
There are times it seems like they can take on a room full of baddies single-handedly, other times they are completely inept.
It is Fantasy of course, not meant to make sense, but the fact is, the Jedi are all powerful one minute, useless the next.
Whatever the story that day needs.
Mace Windu jumped off the balcony in Attack of the Clones and fell at least a dozen stories, and landed as if it was a few feet.
Do you guys think the 2012 Star Wars Advent Calendar is EOL?

All the good stuff is already sold out.
I will say I hope LEGO has learned its lesson with their prices on Advent calendars this year (at least the SW one) that there IS a ceiling and they apparently hit it because I had to sell off their calendars at a 50% discount.
Tower Bridges would be interesting IF they were discounting them, otherwise I think Amazon has them still for 9% off.
I know the MMV is still available on S@H, but they don't ship to 3rd party retailers. :( Target does have it for $89.99. :)
Where can I find the SE at American MSRP?
Received the VW Bus lego (10220) set as a gift, however, I really think I want to exchange it for something else. I am really not looking at collecting in terms of an investment but am more curious about what sets are most likely to retire soon so I can make sure I have one to build before they go away.
Right now I am considering Tower Bridge (10214), Haunted House (10228), Space Shuttle (10231), and the Sopwith Camel (10226). Any of these have the potential to be on the chopping block soon? If you were new which would you suggest for an AFOL looking for a good time?
Thanks!
I've been told that the Tower Bridge is a bit tedious build, but would be great for two people to build together.
Or perhaps not, but both are sold out on shop.lego.com, or were yesterday anyway...
Thanks, again.
Are they going soon, gonna stay?
