15% Off Select Sets at Diapers.com

My girlfriend got an email from Amazon saying that certain sets are 15% off when you buy 2 or more sets if you use the promo code LEGO15. I tried it several times but it didn't work. It turns out that you have to buy the sets from Diapers.com (which Amazon bought, which is why the email came from Amazon). I looked through the sets and didn't see anything on my high-priority list so I didn't feel the need to create an account and actually place an order, but here is the site for anyone who is interested:

And they're marked up and priced dynamically.

Diapers.com is the same as yoyo.com if not mistaken

    That is correct.

    They are Amazon companies.

And 15% off isn't much considering...

I've had good luck with yoyo.com. You just have to check prices. Right now, for example the #60051 High-speed Passenger Train is listed at 141.29. With the additional 15% off you're actually saving about 20%.  New customers can use promo code NEWYOYO15 to get 15% your first order - no need to buy 2 items.

Like I said previously, it seems those sites price dynamically.

I remember there was a Lego sale and every couple of minutes, in response to sales and stock, the prices were changing.

If the Passenger train and Cargo train were not insanely priced on Amazon UK, it could be worth it.

Lego can't give away that Battle of Smallville set.

It's a difficult set to love.  The characters are just so clunky.

I'm hoping that Batman V Superman doesn't do for Batman sets what the TMNT movie did for those sets.

^The only MoS set I bought was the Black Zero escape, and that was only for Lois. I hope the BvS sets (and movie) are good, too!

They could "give" me that set, who would say no to free parts?

I was unaware that diapers.com and yoyo.com were the same. I did receive an email from yoyo and a separate one from amazon about this deal. I assumed they were just price matching each other, but it turns out it is the same website..interesting.

Prices do fluctuate. You just have to hope you get in on it right away. Sometimes they will mark up the set before putting it on sale OR they will mark it down slightly so it doesn't get considered part of the sale (since it is "on sale" already). Very sneaky stuff.

just to add: amazon owns diapers.com & yoyo.com . most likely operating independently for now...

so  essentially they will be all the same :)

    This week's YOYO deal:

To redeem, add two (2) or more LEGO items to cart and enter code SPRINGLEGO to save 15%. Code valid on LEGO Minecraft, LEGO Ultra Agents, LEGO Chima, and LEGO Ninjago. Max discount $40. Excludes LEGO Mindstorms. One time use per household. Other exclusions may apply.

Once again, 15% off 2+ select LEGO and I stacked it with $10 credit for $50+ purchase with AMEX Offers.  YMMV of course.  No crazy good deals at a glance.  Mainly discount on Elves (currently at RRP) that stood out to me.  About 30% discount after stack.

Yup. Price compare before hitting the purchase button.

Yeah, I think since bargain hunters wiped out yoyo.com during one of their legopalooza events they got wise to the whole slightly raise price before discounting and also culled back many of the items on sale.
The best bet is when they have their LEGOPALOOZA events (which I think is once in the spring and again in the fall but not certain).
It is also less enticing now that I have to pay for the sales tax (as Amazon is in my state)
