Not sure about the date, but the last time I was waiting for a set to be released in NZ it showed up at shop.lego.com a couple of weeks before I saw it in stores, so keep your eye on that website.

I heard it will be in Big W's catalogue next week for $147 (I think), so it looks like it will hit Aus next week. I believe the release date is November 1 so they're possibly in storerooms at shops already.

Myer has it as well on sale next week. $148 I think.

Black Pearl is officially out in stores, target selling for $169 - what a joke. Amazon would be a better option - selling for $85 in comparison

Damn, that's daylight robbery. It's actually cheaper than I thought it would have been, I thought AU$180.

thats slightly out of my budget :(

^ Haha! Yeah, I wouldn't pay that either. You'll have to wait for a sale (if it lasts that long, I havn't seen any QAR sets in stores for months).

oh well problem solved! im on a trip to Europe at the moment and while in fulda, Germany at the christmas market i stopped in a store called galaria and found the thing for 85 euro (about 140 nz dollars) so now all i need is space in my luggage!

I've just been in India for a few weeks, and stopped over in Singapore and noticed they had the Black Pearl for $200 there too. But I found out yesterday that apparently Lego NZ isn't bringing the Black Pearl into NZ, so the only ones available here will be from Private importers. Good stuff for managing to get one overseas though :)

For Kiwi's, the first big wave for 2012 arrives at Toyworld early Jan (Incl series 6 Figures).

    thanks!

@Butcha Wow, they're not bringing it in at all? Do you know what else they aren't bringing in? I thought we got most sets eventually at one retailer or another, maybe POTC isn't doing so well here. Even the 30% off at Farmers didn't tempt me.

Hello. I was going through the threads on Brickset and found out this topic. I sell Lego on the side and my prices are decent as I am doing this just to feed my Lego hobby and to spread as much love as possible. I am located in Pakistan and shipping to Australia is not that expensive with respect to geographic reasons.

If interested please feel free to pm me. I also provide stuff which is not in stock with me on a decent enough price. Just trying to make Lego available anywhere it does not reach soon enough.

do you have any green dragon knight battle packs? they never appeared in NZ either.

How much more is Lego over in NZ then Aus? Off the top of my head, the CMF's are AUD$4.99, MIll Village Raid is AUD$119, and the Lighthouse Island is AUD$65. How much are they across the ditch?
  • ButchaButcha Member Posts: 47
@Stuboy Yeah, POTC has done terribly here. It went 40% off at the Warehouse for a bit, and K-mart has just put all POTC sets on quite decent clearances (Along with Ninjago and Cars, actually) ;-)

^ I might have to check Kmart out. I find it hard keeping track of the stores that have no or not up-to-date websites, I find the Warehouse has the best I've seen, and always find out about their sales before any other stores.

@Eric CMF's here are 4.99 (off the top of my head, I don't buy many), Mill Village Raid is $149, Lighthouse Island is $79, so pretty similar when you take into account the exchange rate.

Oh okay, I'd forgotten about the exchange rate. 40% off? Wow, I haven't seen that on any set ever here, clearance or otherwise. :/
  • StuBoyStuBoy Member Posts: 623
^ Yeah, I must have missed that 40% off, might have swayed me towards getting a few. We have 30% off all toys at Farmers at the moment, but they don't stock any of the larger or exclusive sets.

For any Kiwis Kmart is having a clearance on POTC (Fountain of Youth, Captains Cabin, The Mill, Cannibal Escape and Isla de la Muerta) for close to half price. I carried The Mill around the store before putting it back (even at $49 I couldn't bring myself to buying it), and walked out with another Escape from Dragons Prison for $29 (gotta love that Dragon Knight).

They also had Kings Carriage and a few Cars and Toy Story ones on clearance too.
