Somehow there was a #8827 Series 6 CMF still kicking around. Scanned at $4.99 under the DCPI item code also used for some newer CMFs

    2 #75981 half off

#76171 not on sale but first I've seen it, added to wantlist. Might also consider #60306. Several other new sets and CMF s21 as well.

  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
Got 3 more 75981 today. Like some other Target clearance items, these copies weren't stickered but were still in the store's system as on sale.
This is good because parting out larger quantities is more efficient, and I can spare one as a gift for a Potterhead.

Looks Like Target will be doing the $10 gift card with a $50 purchase of Lego starting this Sunday 2/21.  It says select sets, the ad shows 4 sets priced $49.99-69.99 so I expect there will be others as part of the deal.

Here's the ad in their mobile app:

Very limited selection for the 10 GC on 50 spend deal. I wasn't expecting everything but usually such sales before covered far more
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
    No sales but big restock.
Vidiyo and Raya the Last Dragon the only new themes but tons more new sets in preexisting themes

#41448 I think a movie theater model is new at least for Friends
#41449 main character's house not a new idea but a lot of minidolls including the first I've seen with short legs

    Still thinking about #41428

Target ad for next week starting 3/14 shows 20% off select Lego sets.  Minecraft, City, Creator & Disney Princess sets are listed.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 983
Looks like the only sets on sale are the four shown in the ad.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 983
There are now a lot more sets showing the 20% discount available online at Target.com including a lot of the more recent releases.

  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
    City, Ninjago, Super Mario, Dots
buy 1 get 1 40% off (basically the common sale rate of 20% ... if getting 2 same priced sets ... but that might be more appealing than spend X dollars to get Gift Card setup.

Might get #60304 the current style road plates and Dots as parts packs
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
$10 giftcard on $50 of select sets in next week's ad

pictured are a brick bucket, the friedns movie theater (might actually get that), a duplo frozen castle, and a 366pc super mario set

Restock on #41927, a little set I wanted included in the giftcard deal to go with #41448

Looks like Target is now selling Legoland exclusive sets.  My local store had them on the shelf and they're marked down less than you can get them at the park.

    #40347 - $14.99
    #40393 - $14.99
    #40429 - $29.99
    #40346 - $89.99

I believe that #40347 and #40393 are cheaper (as I think they are trying to retire those) but the Ninjago one and the LEGOLAND set is about on par with what the local LDC was selling them for I believe. It is nice that those who are not near an LDC have the ability to get these now at Targets.

Not sure if I'll actually get them but they look distinctive for sure

Received my copy of #40346 from Target today. Seals were popped because they shoved it in a shipping box that was a little too narrow.

took a two hour round trip drive to my nearest target and found...... none of these.  I did find the Raya Polybag so not a total loss.

At West St. Paul Target: #10275 Elf Club House. Bottom shelf of endcap, opposite the Star Wars sets. Eight of them. Maybe seven when I leave ;) @Astrobricks @Tkatt @thenos @gelkster @CM4S Any other Twin Citians who would like me to notify of unusual sightings?

I was able to get several of the polybags I wanted from my local store over the past week. I got Raya, Friends Flower Cart, Creator Dog, Ninjago Mech & City Helicopter.  I checked the other day for the Legoland sets but couldn't find any.  According to their online system my store is supposed to have them in stock.  I might try doing a pick-up order if it would stop snowing here every day.  Otherwise I'll probably just have them shipped to me.  I  already have the big set so I  just need some of the smaller ones.

North St. Paul Target had the Legoland sets on Friday. They also had the latest round of Polybags.

    Is this genius or grifter:
CMF packs at my local Target are up by the checkout register, properly tagged at $4.99.  Beyond the register, there are some odd, sparsely filled small product racks.  One rack had a single Series 21 CMF with a price tag of $3.99, perhaps not updated since late 2019.  Go feel through the packs on the $4.99 rack to find which figure you want, then present it to the cashier, asking it to be price matched to $3.99 as shown on the other rack.  Genius or grifter?

A "grifter" is someone who is acting at the fringe of legality and/or morality, doing something ethically questionable though perhaps not against the rules.  "Genius or Grifter" is a thought experiment to help clarify moral grey areas.  Credit for the "Genius or Grifter" concept goes to the Magic: The Gathering podcast Limited Resources (and the listener who originally proposed it to the hosts).

^ I’d say you’re just asking for them to resolve a pricing discrepancy in your favor. Unless something has a clearance tag/price on it, I don’t believe their system can distinguish one CMF pack from another.

If the store can't be bothered to rectify an issue they've created, then I see nothing wrong with wanting them to honor the lowest price they made available.

Does that $3.99 tag say Lego CMF? It seems likely to me that someone, employee or shopper, just put that single CMF there. I don't think the store should honor a price because something was misplaced.

If the bar-codes are the same, they will scan for the same price. If not, they are not the same item and should not be price-matched.

I only saw the $3.99 tag briefly but I believe it did say "Lego CMF".  I'll check it next time I'm at that store.  There's a good chance that the CMF hanging on that odd rack is one I want, so I may buy it and see what happens.
Taking one from the $4.99 rack and asking for it at $3.99, when both racks are within sight of each other and the cashier, certainly counts as "grifter".

Doesn’t seem to match the definition of “grifter”.

Another thing I’m seeing that’s new (around here anyway) is spider wraps on most sets priced $99 or higher. 🙁

I don’t get those things.  I’ve never seen someone put a giant lego set under their clothes.

    Saw #41935
Looks like a nice parts pack, no decorated tiles like most DOTS sets but lots of bright colors. Also, 20 or 30 each of a few dozen parts looked easy to sort. The inner bags put only a few colors

Target Circle is running a deal (at least I saw it) where 4 $40 purchases get you $15 back. Usually LEGO is excluded, some require a certain amount of LEGO only, but $40 partially-LEGO was counted.
I also got #41426, I don't need a whole additional restaurant but already wanted the food related decorated parts and could use the figurines.

also got some real food, lol (a banana as something cheap to get from just under $40 to just over)

Those Circle deals (buy $X for Y times and get $Z back) are usually targeted (pun not intended).  I currently have buy 3x $60+ for $15 back.

For three $75 purchases, I can receive $20.  Not really worth it.

Yeah, I've had variations of this deal before and it was never worth it since I don't do my regular shopping there.  There's no way I can hit those thresholds multiple times.

My Target app says $15 off a single $75 purchase. I don’t see any of these others. But of course, not valid on Lego, or even MegaBlox fer heavens sake!

The deal worked for me, I can see how it might not work for others

App lists #75299 #75300 #60287 #21319 #60291 20% off and some others with smaller discounts

West Saint Paul Target has #70828 Pop-Up Party Bus for $23.99 and #41252 Poppy's Hot Air Balloon Adventure for $8.99. (Both are 70% off RRP.) On the endcap with the Technic sets.

^ They've been on the shelves the whole time, I think. This is the first time they've been discounted, IIRC.

My Target had quite a bit of Lego clearance today. They had a ton of the smaller Legoland sets on clearance for half off (#40393, #40347 and #40429) and possibly some more that I missed.

Additionally, they had #11006, #17101, #60244, #41433, #60229 and #60266 for half off as well. They had some more sets that I didn’t pay attention to, but it seemed to be mostly City and Friends stuff. I think they had one of the Vidiyo Beatbox sets for 25% set off as well, but don’t remember which one.

I only ended up getting #11006 and #40429 but chances are that I’ll end up going back for the other two Legoland sets, since it would’ve been $16 total for both of them which would have given me 400 pieces and seven minifigs to do what I want with.

why is it that everyone else's Target (and Walmart) has clearances like that?

All I see is regular sales - 20% off a few sets - notably the Friends (TV show) Ideas set, also #60304 road plates

Target Circle sent me an offer for $30 rewards after 4 $60 purchases - a 60304 is something I bought towards that, will see what I think of the modern road plates before I go deeper into those
