I found a few of the new Star Wars sets at my closest Target. Picked up #75218 along with 2 Series 18 policemen. On a side note, I found a NES and SNES mini there last week. That place is turning into a little honey hole for me.

Yep I just found #75220 and grabbed it also some of the new DC sets.

I find it maddening that two Targets about 10 miles apart do not apparently share the same reality.

One has a full compliment of TLBM Series 1 CMFs.  The other has a fresh set of HP CMFs.

THREE full CMF collections have come and gone!

Found #60153 today for $22.18. Store had just a handful of yellow cleanse tags on either shelf or box. This one had box tag of $27.18. Missed it last clearance round. Been patiently waiting to snag for my daughter. Decided to get at 27, hold receipt and return if by chance find cheaper in next 2-4 weeks. When checked out, scanned at $22.18. Not sure I’ll find it any cheaper so I’m happy.

On another note, stopped at another Target haven’t been to in like 2 years. Interestingly they had a few sets I hadn’t seen at any other Targets/Walmart’s yet like I think all of the Unikitties. Interestingly not a single sale/clearance tag. Maybe already in their reset. But what really threw me off was not finding a single Star Wars set. I had to go up/down aisles a second time as I couldn’t believe it. What store would sell Lego and not have a single Star award set? Very odd.

Not a fan of Target redesign either! The LEGO is in several sections, many end caps, varying heights, and scattered throughout toys. I like the giant minifigs on the slide though. Wonder if Target steps in where TRU vacated (Bricktober?).
I am hoping they step in there......they do list on their events page that they are doing monthly events for kids....and they are doing a Harry Potter event with Lego give-aways (a bag and a poster for sure). The only down side is they have not done any building events, it is usually small trinkets like stickers or key chains that they give out. Bricktober exclusives would be nice though.
I asked Lego about that and they still aren't sure where the Bricktober sets are going. I suggested Target and they said they'll keep it in mind, but it apparently isn't a global company.

    @Keilup
the Star Wars sets may have been on an island end cap at the front of the toys section. 2 local Targets do this with their LSW sets after the store redesign.
  • KeilupKeilup Member Posts: 236
^ checked end caps. Nope. Saw HP on end cap. Very strange indeed.

I had a sensible chuckle and kept walking.

Also found a couple Ninjago CMFs that scanned at $4.49. My Target sucks.

ya, my target has all the HP sets moved to the front of the store with other HP stuff, scarfs, shirts, pajamas, book, and DVD's.   None in toys/lego section.  I  read where this is their plan to mix and match like items throughout the store....initially not a fan of the idea.

LEGO has added four feet of 'wrap around' space for the upcoming year.  Not specifically for Speed Champions, but they anticipate a sizeable increase in sales.

I did notice their reset seems set to include an additional 1/2 to 3/4 of an aisle (one side). It was only partly populated when I was there. Makes sense with TRU gone.

I hate the idea of some LEGO not being in the LEGO aisle. I don't want to wander the whole store, thinking, "maybe over here... nope, well... let's try over there...".

Retailers want you to wander the whole store because you might buy more than you came in for. That’s why I get a little smug satisfaction every time I use the shortcuts at IKEA :)

I've noticed Target doing that locally as well. I typically will make a pass through the whole toys/electronics/books area because the local Target moves things around when they put them on clearance, so the good deals are almost never found in the LEGO aisle. If not in that general area, chances are I'll find it at another retailer.

Got #76086 for $24.98 at my local Target, multiples were still sitting on the shelf. I've seen some get this set for cheaper at other places, but I never run into such luck.

Side note, seeing people feeling through the HP CMF bags is kinda weird. The stores around me place them on the racks separately and out of the boxes. It seems some employees go through them before selling as I heard people complain about not finding "the rare one".
  • tamamahmtamamahm Member Posts: 1,987
^Well, the ‘rare’ ones are ‘rare’, so I am not sure how not finding one of those would indicate an employee went through them.

It is sort of comical in that if a customer is complaining about not finding a rare, it indicates that customer is trying to find a rare, so the logical answer is another customer did the exact same thing that customer was doing, but found the rare first.

@KingAlanI Easy; just feel for the wand. Jk(rowling)

Jokes aside, HP cmf is a bit trickier compared to the last few cmf waves. Quick tip for Chase Percival - he has two hair pieces just like Alastor, but the latter comes with a staff and some other bits.

No. Dobby, Jacob and Credence come with 0 because they aren't wizards. Everyone who does come with a wand though comes with two

The HP CMF's don't look as similar as the German footballers, but close. The Unikitty ones look even closer except color scheme.
If past series are any indication, even when I can identify them it's not worth it beyond ones I want personally except maybe 1 or 2 chase figs

I picked up two of Cyborgs at $4.98.

Rey was $4.98 too but I left her since I picked her up in the double set with Kylo months back.

I posted this in its own thread but was told about this thread for Target.
42060 - Technic Roadwork Crew is $15.  Lists for $30.  I didn't see any sale notification so perhaps this is their every day price.

Not a deal, but I found a random #21310 on the shelf at Edina. Sadly it scanned at RRP. I’m guessing an online order return.

Try scanning it next time with your Target app.
If it shows up cheaper, take it to CS and they most likely will use your phone's price.

Heads up for the S.F. Bay Area. Target East Palo Alto has 2 unopened boxes of Harry Potter CMF's. I wasn't interested in them so they are still sealed waiting for someone.

I always scan both with the app and store scanner just to be sure. Then (assuming I decide to buy it), if there’s a difference, I just ask for the lower price at the checkout. I haven’t been refused yet.

And then there’s the online price, but I don’t often check that unless I really want something that isn’t discounted in the store.

According to Brickseek the 25 or so stores around me are all "sold out". In this case patience is not a virtue lol!

Does it literally say "sold out"?  All mine say "out of stock" but it always says that if they haven't received them in yet but are in the system.
  • Russell844Russell844 Member Posts: 2,425
Probably "out of stock". It was late when I posted. ;)

Much like @Hanzo, my experience has been the same with Target and Brickseek. Out of Stock has always indicated they just haven't arrived yet. The same happened with the Rey and Ren exclusive Brickheadz set. I drove myself nuts trying to find one. Then I forgot about it, and 3 weeks later I was in target as saw 20 of them.

I anticipate this set, although popular, will be easy to come by in the next month or so.

PIcked up a bean there, donunt that set up at a Target, but had to ask for it. Also found the Potter poly at the Target after checking 3 Walmarts that did not have them (even though brickseek said all did)
Wondering if these are supposed to go out after a certain date.

I was in Target yesterday looking for the new coffee/donut set. I have been looking for the Police Station #60141 for my son and it had a price of $69.99. Unfortunately they were sold out and the online price is still $99.99. Just wanted to pass on as they appear to be closing it out at the store
