Try to remember the # in front of your set numbers folks. It makes it so much easier to look them up.
I usually make a point of including it, but occasionally leave it off if the set's been posted about a lot, no need for another link.

Just scored a 75103 for 50% off. It seems like my Target in Massachusetts is clearing out the back room. YMMV - we never get these kind of deals here but there were piles of random stuff that had not been on the shelves for a while.
Targets here in MN are lousy with #75103 , some at 30% off, most at 50% off. Lots of #75109 as well. I'd love to know where big piles of a single set come from when they show up on clearance like that. Same thing happened with #21117.
I recall a post about a Target that had dozens of Yellow Submarine half off. The story was that someone ordered them for in-store pickup and flaked out.

Also decided to get a Dr. Strange #76060, no telling how much longer we will see that one on shelves.
Yeah, guessing that one will go away without much fanfare.

Fwiw putting the # in front of the set number is too easy not to do it every time.  It's way easier than going back and trying to scan a page of posts for one that does have the link.

The one caveat to not adding the hash is it will not work when posting on a mobile device (or at least didnt use to).  Instead it sends you to a search page.

I believe that has been fixed. However, you may need to refresh the page after you post for it to take effect.

#75140 comes up unavailable at the Target in Orange, CT on Brickseek. Saw 3 on the shelf, clearance price $68.95 - a whole dollar off MSRP. Left them on the shelf.

A few things marked new lower price, nothing spectacular, might be what some of you saw online.

Regular price on #2304 big green duplo baseplate is $10.48 vs [email protected] at $14.99

At Target mainly for storage bins

Who do they think they are? TRU?
The tiny number in the corner of the sticker is how much of a percentage discount they say it is.

So what's the deal with Target on Brickseek?  I've been watching daily, and overnight #76050 dropped from 13.98 to 9.98 at my local store.  So I book it in there this morning to buy the 2 they have sitting on the shelf.  But they still scan at 13.98.

Is Brickseek telling us the the price it will be, as in later today, or what?
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
I had the same issue with the SW troop transport.  Showed $44.98 on brickseek for like 2 weeks while the store had them at $62.xx.  They finally did drop so I got one but it was the first time I've seen it not be correct.

^ So I'll stop holding my breath!

And unlike WM the only way to know the current store price is to just keep going in to check, right?

I did end up buying 1 at 13.98 because I didn't want to leave empty handed after all the leg work.  Anyone have any luck with Target doing price adjustments?
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
^ Yes. And a rather large one at that. I ordered the Death Star about 4 years ago and a couple of days later they had a 20% off all LEGO Star Wars sets. Made a call and they refunded the difference in a matter of minutes.

They won't price adjust for further reductions in clearance. They will for sales within 2 weeks. A clearance price ends in "8," so they won't adjust a price if the new price ends in "8."

My local Target had around 1900 in stock before Christmas. They had 24 boxes opened at once. 3100 is a tremedous amount.

    Too funny:

Did they need the last three letters? Isn't that implied when someone says "LEGO Friends"?

This happened to me last night. Brickseek told me that #75103 was down to $26.98 at my local Target. I went to grab one and it rang up as $44.98 yet.

Unless Brickseek is way out of whack, the $26.98 price went into effect today and someone cleared the shelf already. It went from 52 saleable quantity down to 2 in a two or three hour span.

I had bought one at the $44.98 price point, so I'm hoping they'll let me do a return/rebuy.
  • BillyBricks84BillyBricks84 Member Posts: 355
^The quantities on hand vary so much between stores. A lot of people have been talking about seeing this set on shelves and waiting for the discounts, but I checked Brickseek last week and there were 2-4 TOTAL on shelves in a 30 mile radius from where I live, and that includes over 10 Targets. At only one of the stores did the set reach the $27 price before disappearing.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,787

Yeah, i think some Targets went ape and bought so many of series 12, much of which they are still stuck with, that they went the opposite way and only get 1 box at all.

Fun in the park #60134 $32
Lakeside Lodge #30148 $25 might get for camping collection
Amusement park sets about 20% off waiting for bigger discount and more storage/display space
I noticed that about the Friends poly abbreviation but was too mature to say anything. :P

While I know that the numbers will often differ, I know that these two particular Targets had plenty in stock just sitting there at the $44.98 price point. I know that the one reporting they had 50 or so saleable quantity did indeed have 30 or so on the shelf when I went to check on Wednesday night. I've had my suspicions for years that we've had a shelf clearer living around this area that hits all three Targets and Walmarts we have (and seemingly doesn't have a day job) and this just sort of confirms that fact for me. They're perfectly in their right to do that, it's just frustrating sometimes.

That being said, the Target I did buy mine from at the $44.98 price point was gracious enough to allow me to do a return/repurchase at the lower price. They did have one on the shelf that was in a really beat up box, and I ended up buying that one too as a gift for my fiance's little brother. He won't care about the condition of the box.

That's one reason I didn't buy it right away, so I had a chance to shop around. I don't have prime, the price is apparently not prime only, I'll look for enough for free shipping
And you have the right set number, thanks for that too.

I just want to know how many light brown plates I'm going to get mixed in with the occasional green, orange, and yellow 1x1s. This *may* be worth it.

There are some sets 20% off online (e.g. Friends and City).
No "announcement", need to browse and look at the individual prices.

Ordered #41311 Heartlake Pizzeria for store pickup.

A family member snagged an Elves Fire Dragon on my behalf yesterday at -50% so apparently clearance is still lingering in some stores.
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
It's rare to see anything even at 30% off around here, but I did snag the following a few days ago:

    #60132 - Service Station $45 (50%)
    #76047 - Ultimate Bridge Battle $50 (50%)

The target I visited had a few price drops but nothing amazon didn't have. I did however pass the most interesting of knock offs in the sporting area. I'm suprised target carries them...

Natually there is no Lego logo on the studs.

They also carry Block Tech things.  Blech.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
I've seen fake Schleich dinosaurs at Target. 100% exact mold copies but made with a lighter weight cheap plastic. It actually disappoints me that Target carries knock offs. Also gives pause and makes me wonder where the line is regarding LEGO and what kind of knock offs they will carry.

@Mynatt, how much were those iifun eggs going for? My grandson loves opening up surprise eggs (sad that we cannot get Kinder eggs in the US) and I'm sure he would  love to get a few of these. They are made by Grin Studios, who apparently make a lot of the off-brand toys for Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, Meijer and Kmart.
  • MynattMynatt Member Posts: 631
@datsunrobbie I can't remember the price of these I'm sorry to say. Just an idea with Easter around the corner, you could always get a bag of Easter eggs and fill them up with bricks/small sets.

The target I go to still has mixels out though so it may also be worth keeping an eye out for those as well.

Thanks @Mynatt. We have a bunch of plastic eggs that get refilled with Lego stuff and all sorts of other little toys, but it is about time to get some replacements for the ones that have been worn out. Those iifun eggs look to be a bit bigger than the ones we currently have, so if I spot them cheap I'll probably pick up a few to check 'em out.

I have seen Kinder surprise over here, which surprised me since I heard it was illegal or something to put toys inside of food in the US

Those seem like generic Mixels, but don't look like copies of a particular set. Unless I'm missing something, that's ordinary clone brand behavior.
I've also seen miniature scale building blocks - again, something different even if the quality isn't as good.
My main storage method is 6 qt sterilite tubs, those are 84c instead of 94c until April 8th. I got 10 because I had just enough on my redcard debit card. It turns out that fits comfortably in my 4 gallon milk crate bike basket. I was getting a few anyway, but will stock up during the sale.
I saw a couple opened TLBM cases, near other Batman merch rather than other LEGO. I so didn't have time to pack feel, but I'm doubting if that's worth it anyway.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
Today I looked for just Vacation Batman. it's higher value and particularly easy to identify. Found 1 amongst 34 loose bags, and with a new case needed to inspect only a couple dozen bags to find all 3.

@datsunrobbie Hadn't thought of Home Depot for stuff besides hardware, thanks for the idea
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
@datsunrobbie Besides the multipack discount, I like the different color lid. Target used to have some with dark blue lids, and that helps organize in addition to labeling the containers.
Unfortunately the Home Depot near me does not have that available, only the white singles for 98c

  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,817
@KingAlanI I'll let you know if I spot them cheap again. I need 18 more to finish filling up a bookshelf. Last batch I got was at Sam's Club in a 12-pack, but they don't have them in stock now

20% off all Lego Super Hero, Batman, Duplo, and Minecraft this week.

Probably the best time to buy the soon-retiring Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum.

I wonder if any of those superhero/batman/duplo/minecraft was already marked off - that's where the money really is. probably shouldn't check, as I already have a huge backlog both personal and BL.

the sterilite tub sale actually ended on the 1st - I realized my error but forgot to post aobut it. either I misread the tag at first or got it confused with another sale tag.
I got plenty earlier in the week;  on the 31st and 1st I went to other stores for other stuff.
Home Depot near me has 4 packs with white lids, but no cheaper than singles, let alone cheaper than Target.

I typically just buy my 'shoe box'  tubs at Target in their packs of 5 they have now whenever Im thinking about it. I have about 10 spares and likely will run low when I get to sorts parts again. I use the bins when I get so many quanitity of a part that they no longer fit in those Akro Mills type part tray cabinets (and for large plates)

    @madforlego
the one near me doesn't have 5 packs anymore. they had 5 packs with dark blue lids when I just started using them.
Small trays like Akro Mills just don't seem worth it for the amount of space. Sometimes I fill a 6qt tub only partway to still have easy access to small bags.
Funny you should mention large plates. I have several #40161 boxes* with large quantities of large plates, and right now I'm sorting several #40156 I parted out.
*slightly larger than 6qt tubs and doesn't narrow towards the bottom. waste not want not when I buy something with a useful box.
