I found #70911 Lego Batman Movie penguin car set at Target for $29.99. It is not even listed on [email protected]

My Targets were so bare before Christmas, they have very little to "clearance" out after Christmas. A few Ninjago sets were marked down, but nothing Amazon didn't already have them for. One Target had the whole line (excluding Arkham) of LBM sets out a week before Christmas, so I was able to pick up what I wanted then, but haven't seen them since. Thankfully I was able to snag the Batcave set for $75 because of the in store deal $25 off 100 in toys. But after Christmas sales were a bust near me...thankfully. I don't have money to spend anyway.

Went to one Target.
Lego aisle was wiped.
Big sets (30% off) were still there: Batman Reaper; Avenjet; Giant Antman.
Some small: Nexo Knights ultimate packs. Few Ninjago.

Nabbed the last Angry Birds at 50% off.

Get'em while you can.

Several 2017 sets out including 30522's in endcap with mixels

About 160 S16, looking for Rogue and Babysitter, got 10 and 4. Few Banana Guy, didn't notice about others

Finally found #30522 at target!  They were still in the box, waiting to be put on a shelf.  Thanks to the person who mentioned the pink display box. :-)

Also found #76068 and #76069 Superman and Batman Might Micros.  They only had 1 box of each to put out.

Pardon my ignorance, but why 3 to make a full bridge and not just 2?
I already have 2 of these, but have not opened them yet for lack of space to display them.

BTW, visited two Targets today; the one by work did not have any discount on it. The one by home had it at 30% off.

Only speculating, as I've only built one of that set so far, but the third set could probably be cannibalized to finish the suspension wires on both ends of the towers and extend the road of a full bridge on both ends.  Plus close the holes left when removing some of the play features on one half of the bridge.

^ Uhm. I wonder if it's worth buying a whole 3rd set for that? I was not going to mind the holes on the second half of the bridge as they will show on the opposite side. And I figured the wires could be easily substitute or brinklinked.

Well, you guys have the rest of the night to convince me to go to Target tomorrow morning to see if the 30% off set is still there :-D

My local Target is looking worse than the other day. I didn't count the sets but there must've been about 20 or less on the shelves. Pretty crappy of Target to leave the shelves bare when they have a ton of new sets in the back. That's what brickseek says at least.

^^^   Like my name implies, I'm not a master builder.  But it sounded good. (especially at $50/each)   :)

I'm interested in seeing how a 4 set, double bridge looks in real life.  I've seen pictures, but I'm sure pictures don't do such a set up justice.

I would have grabbed the bridge at 50% off without hesitation; heck, even at 40% off. But at 30% off and already having 2 of them, I'm not so sure.

Went to my local Target today.  Only set that I found on sale(not much to choose from) was Batboat Harbor pursuit for $20.99(which I bought one).  All else were at normal price. 

I did find some #30522 polybags however in the Valentine's Day section, so a bit of a bonus.

@Goldchains  I hope you scanned to check the prices.  My store had very few clearance stickers on the sets, but many showed a 30% off price on the scanner.

I went to one store and they had some stuff on clearance but nothing I was interested in, except, finally, some Batman CMFs. (picked three new and two I already had)

@JooTog Like @nuttamastabuilda mentioned, three would seem to have enough parts to make a whole bridge...since I only have ONE, I have yet to prove this theory, hopefully someone will make a thread soon enough about their MOC.

Popped into my regular Target location and they had a bunch of clearance, mostly on Mighty Micros, Nexo Knights and Ninjago (that I noticed).  They still don't have a clearly marked space for the Lego Batman Movie sets and they are randomly in any open shelf space. The Riddler car set  was out but nothing else new. And still no sign of the Valentine's polys.

All of the targets in my area seem to have Batman CMF's out...but they are in odd places in the toy section and are getting hammered fast.

^Many of the Targets by me still have the holiday section for Xmas clearance. Only one Target out by my parents started to put out the Valentines stuff, but still no new polys found yet

Targets here in Minneapolis have been pretty well scoured, but I did snag a Ninjago #70604 at 50% off.

Tried another Target(Grand Ave in Newport, Kentucky) and found a bunch of the old Cubes with Lightning Lad etc. for $9.99.  They also had several more of the #30522.  Everything else was regular price and the aisles were fairly empty.

I wonder how many of them have a Street Date of January 1, like the rest of the Lego Batman Movie lineup, and that's why they're not being stocked.

My guess is that stores that needed sales to meet their annual/holiday quotas took some extra sets out. Those that were Ok are waiting to bank the sales for 2017.

EDIT: I should have added that I don't even know how to balance my checkbook, so take that with a grain of salt (and tequila if you're old enough).

Found another #30399 that scanned $1.19 - I thought I got them all at $1.99. Service desk clerk said I should be able to get the difference by return and rebuy. Fortunately I hadn't opened them - for once procrastination pays off.
#76047 for $20.98, solid deal.
2 Bionicle sets - price scanner didn't recognize them but were $7.48 at register. #70792 and #70793 50% off $14.99 is what I expected, $5 would have been optimistic
Last 2 #41140 and 3 #41141 for $5.03 as planned, didn't have enough available on redcard for the last 41141, maybe should have paid cash rather than monkey around

Empty rack of Batman CMF's (I was in there last night and didn't see any so they sold out in under a day). Counted 11 #30522, about the same as what I saw before

^My Target has the rack up for the Batman CMF's but has not yet stocked anything in it. Well, there were Series 16 CMF's in there last time I checked.

Some store are sticking to the Jan. 1st release date apparently.

Found elves set #41180 for $44.xx.  Had a few in the cart, then put them back.   A little girl, maybe 4 or 5 saw me put them back and told her mom, "this is what i wanted my whole live....they are only $10!" I had to smile.  :)

I let a girl have one of the $1.99 #30399 's on the 30th, got plenty more myself, could not get that adjusted to $1.19 but found another 3 for that price. #41111 and #41141 for $5.03

34 6 quart tubs in the storage sale, worked out to 51.25c each before redcard and tax, usually 94c

Saw an Angry birds set (castle) with a clearance tag but no sticker. Scanned it. (25% off) decent so I held onto it. Checked Amazon and saw I could get it for 28% off. Put it back.

I grabbed one at 30% off. It was not the cheapest set of the season, but figured it would be a fun larger set for my kiddo.

Has anyone ever seen older minifig series on clearance at Target? I saw random packs of Monsters and Simpsons mixed in with the new Batman series, but because all the CMFs have the same DPCI, the price is still $3.99, but the Monsters are from Halloween 2015.  Would a MGR discount the Monsters?

It can happen, but it's rare.  I think Monsters and Simpsons Series 2 are still "current" and their UPC codes are still linked to the CMF DPIC number in their system.  A couple years ago, I was in a Target and I saw they put out a fresh case of Series 6 long after it had retired. I scanned a UPC and the item came up not found. I asked for assistance and the employee offered to sell me them for half the current CMF price, so $2 each. I literally lifted the entire Sereis 6 display off the endcap and bought them all (the employee was cool with it as they wouldn't have to do price lookups over and over again). So if you are lucky, you may stumble upon an older set.  This is actually the best time of year for that to happen as warehouses and storerooms are bare and they are taking inventory.

Thanks! That makes sense. I guess I will go back then and try to complete the set since they are current and I got 3 duplicates :-)  You guys have been a tremendous help starting this hobby for my 4 yo daughter and the clearance deals make it all worth it! THANK YOU!

@sa1sachica Yeah, not as much as some people in here see, but I've seen and purchased some S15 at Target but at regular price and sometimes even higher. I've gotten some Simpsons S2 at Walmart also at regular price, although I've seen price stickers that say $1.00, but never seen in stock. It's, like always, YMMV.

Series 14 is still cheap to come by on eBay and BL...
