I bought those same sets as well to get the $25 off. But look on the bright side Lego Buying Season 2017 is just 2 weeks away.
Hard to believe you are right. My wallet sobs uncontrollably. But before 2017 even gets here, we have Boxing Day deals to resist. Unfortunately I've already got my eye on a few things. I'm slowly coming to the realization that I am always going to be broke.

Just found #10234 Sydney Opera house in store marked at 279.96. The guy in the red shirt says it was an online purchase returned in store last night.

Trying decide if if it is worth it with the extra 5% red card savings?

    Yes! Go for it!

I don't have any of the "big" landmarks, but will grabbed that one at that price right away... but not driving to San Diego :-)

I went to three local targets looking for the batman movie mini figures. Two of them had the display cases with Series 16 figures..

Didn't find the batman series but found these.

My local Target had lots of series 16 as well, and some Disney figures. No Batman figures yet. And they had loads of the minifigure cubes again and Joker bumper car polybags. They must have been in the back of the store and brought out for the holidays.

They had about 2 whole boxes.
This almost beats last year around Christmas when I found some old stock of monster fighter sets.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,833
^Well if they are all 'picked through' I would not. I know one Target near me had received a ton of S12 and still are trying to move them.
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
Just built the Spider-Man bridge battle and now wondering why I only bought 2 during the Target deal! I now want to complete the suspension bridge, which requires 3 sets. Awesome set!

Monster cmf's still around at 2 of my target stores. As well as series 15, 16 and boatloads of Disney.  They'll still be there Christmas 2017.

20% off city, minecraft, duplo, ninjago, elves this week. Not much marked down individually. A lot of #30399 and a #30396 in the xmas <$5 section. Will try to spend extra money on something besides LEGO this week.
  • krankkrank Member Posts: 26
Yeah I picked up my first ninjago set this week due to that sale, which was #70604 at ~47% off RRP before transaction discounts (e.g. red card). Not too big on that theme but I like some of this set and it's a great discount.
Nothing left to buy now, just waiting for clearance, poly bags, batman cmf...

Scan the cupcake stall polys. They come up for $1.18 at lots of stores.

I'm not into Ninjago either, but the theme generally does seem good for parts.

^^ Considering I still need a majority of the Disney CMFs, that's like a dream come true. Any time I find them there are only like 5 packs left, and they all end being the few that I already have.

My guess is their shelves were so empty due to the recent sale that they wanted to put something on them, so the pulled every CMF box they had left as filler.

Wow! They have more CMFs than my target has had in the last 6 months. Is your target on the eastern side or the western side of the state?

This is the East York, PA location. Neither of the two Lancaster ones had Disney CMF's in the last month or two. Conversely, this location was blitzed with lego stock, and another was perfectly stocked full.

    Been to four Targets.

their Lego aisles are nearly wiped. Most popular sets are gone. Some sets still there but slim pickings if you waited to buy them this close to the Holidays.

My local Target and surrounding Targets put out a ton of new sets today. Will be heading over there after work.
  • CaptainRogersCaptainRogers Member Posts: 868
I found some 2017 Ninjago and Creator sets at mine. Picked up the new Ninjago bike set with the 20% off promo going on.

I saw a palet of Lego boxes at the Virginia Center Target today they are putting out.  No idea what was in them though.

They did scan at $1.18, I got 3. Had only 60c left on redcard, great deal anyway, not enough to bother with a return trip

Some parts of the LEGO shelves are pretty cleared out.

Maybe that CMF surplus is a year end thing. I came out of dark age because of January clearance on other stuff, so the concept holds sentimental and practical value.

Same. I started to order Tiger Widow Island because it was a good deal but I don't really want it that much and there are so many good sets coming next year I really do want I stopped myself.
  • ryjayryjay Member Posts: 1,004
I did pretty well with Target, I found plenty of the sets I thought were cool, a few early releases, but I didn't pull the trigger on any, not even with the deals that they had going on.  But the real fun will be finding the deep clearance sets after the holiday....if there  are any, but that hunt will be fun.

As I've said before, my children were big into lego for years, but have grown and moved on to other things....whereas for dads, much harder to move along....I miss the lego sets under the tree...but I'm slowly moving on by just looking...and remembering...and saving lotsa money :)

My wife and 5 year old son went out this morning and found a Pet Shop at Target. It was an online return marked down to $104.98 so my wife picked it up for me using Red Card after talking to the cashier to sell it because it came up as salvage.

My son noticed all the heads were the "old faces" which made me proud that he knew this!

    nevertheless, have fun building!

Brick Bank also has oldstyle minifigures. I often like the clean and simple look of classic LEGO, so I'm pleased with this as well.

Went to a different Target than usual and finally found the pink box with #30522 on a shelf in the mostly decimated Lego aisle. Also located & picked up a couple of Batman CMF's to tide me over until I receive the set I ordered from @MinifiguresPlus.

No new sets out yet at any of the stores I've checked. My sister lives literally in the middle of nowhere and found new sets. Crazy.
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
Picked up 76048 and 76049 at 50% off in Fresno, CA. Some other sets at 30% off which I skipped.

Look's like Target post-Christmas Clearance has begun!

I found the Ninjago Skybound sets on clearance, including Misfortune's Keep, Tiger Widow Island, Raid Zeppelin and Cole's Dragon anywhere from 30-50% off

The first series of Nexo Knights' set are 30-50% depending on the Target, and the individual Knights and Baddies are also 30-50% off

Some random Creator and City sets, including Prison Island sets, Service Station 30%

I found Angry Bird sets 30% off at one of the Target stores I went to

Check brickseek, while inventory is not always accurate, the prices generally are, so you know which Target to go to!

I even found a couple of Batman in the Phantom Zone Polys!!

Enjoy, there are some good deals to be had!!!

brickseek is ridiculous IMO. Never works for me. May run about to some of the local Targets and see if they have anything though as I'm looking for the Batman Poly anyway
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 850

Targets around me are mostly 30% a few things...Nexo Knights, tons of Minecraft Endor Dragons but at one Target had #75828 Ghostbusters Ecto 1 & 2 for $29.xx.  Other Target had it at $41.xx.  Otherwise I passed on everything.

Plenty of #75918 T-Rex at my local Target. Picked an extra one because, T-Rex :-) ... Asking other sets.
  • krankkrank Member Posts: 26
Still no Batman CMF at my Target stores. However, #75826 was 50% off so picked one up. Also had #41140 at 50% off. Most other items were just 30%. The poly bags from the holiday gifts section is also 30% off, so #30399 was $1.98 (no cupcake stalls at my store).

I'm not asking anything! It was meant to say "In addition to other sets".
I guess the lesson here is 'don't text while shopping'.
