I already lost the argument trying to use the coupon on a fitbit watch, which is classified on their website as "sporting goods", but according to their system in store is "electronics"...if you can find someone to override on the LEGO, good for you.
So, it doesn't hurt to try having an employee scan the item and apply the code.
I think it's only getting harder but, as always, YMMV especially with associates who bend rules, can be swayed, or are new hires that haven't been completely trained/experienced forward customers.
Thats just a sales tactic on their part. It makes sense for them to do it because most people won't actually ask for the price match. It's similar with rebates. Most people don't actually mail them in.
That and even if Target price matches something to Amazon, they are still happy because they got you to buy it from them. And odds are it wasn't the only thing you bought when you were in the store.
We we always have to remember, we in this community are the extreme when it comes to purchasing behavior. Most people don't price match, most people will gladly pay over retail price at TRU because they don't know what the actual price should be, and most people don't aggressively hunt for sales.
Found for 35 they also had one of the larger sets
Target will presumably activate it during the posted times: 6/12-6/18
Also, can you use it online? The website does mention the code.
If you are approved then they should have given you a temporary number and PIN.
Sometimes I talk to the store manager and get lucky. They don't want to disappoint customers. But usually I am not buying more than $100. LEGO per visit. If the sign does not exclude LEGO, I don't care what the texted message on my phone says. It is their mistake, not mine, and I do what the posted sign says and don't expect to waste my time without getting the toys at a discount. I don't feel that I am ripping off the store because they have so few sales and promotions these days.

#41100 is $25.99 in store, 2 of them and this is like $20.99. Parting out slightly below average prices would be around $30, not worth it. #41106 goes from $47.99 to $42.99 and parts out for around $75, that I might do. On the website, I'd likely get more #41103 and #41104, maybe #41093 (all about 30% off even before the code). I'll wait until the end of the week to see about the red card.
I'm quite happy with this news, only if this means I don't have to remember my stupid Redcard PIN anymore.
I didn't know about the MasterCard migration.
Found for $90 on clearance. They had 2 and I didn't buy either. Sorry about the bad pictures.
@Bricklover18 I often see deals that are good if you want the set yourself but not enough of a sale to resell. Is that the case? Did you simply not have the $90 and change?
