Monorail 6990 - After 28 years I got it!

Hello dear Lego Fans!

I'm happy to telling you, that I got that long favorite set today! :smiley:

Since 28 years I'm a fan of this Space Monorail set and a few days ago I could find it on an internet selling. It arrived today, and the best thing is, it's my birthday too!

As a child, I thought the ToysRUs plexiglass display of 6990 was the most amazing thing ever. It seemed so massive, although I suppose it was my point of reference because the aisles at ToysRUs seemed 30 feet tall, too.

I should set mine up for my kids on the chance it forges a lifelong fond memory for them, as well.

I kid you not, I was just moving around some boxes in the basement and I found one sort of set off to the side. Opened it up and found a 100% complete #6399 Airport Shuttle. Completely forgot I had it.

Must be the day for monorail!

^You know you will be putting it together on the floor, but according to your marketplace post, you are looking to get rid of all of your floor LEGO.  So, the question is, what price do you want for #6399?

@BBN, congrats. That reminds me, have to call down to my dad's workshop & check the storage racks for the #6990 we had, I just hope it hasn't walked (with my brother's assistance) like a few other items.

I still have my #6399 from when I was a kid.  My mom saved up for a year to get it for me on Christmas.  Its in the middle of my lego train layout.  I love that set.
