Lower non-sale price at Target

In the past month I've bought a couple of lego sets from the lego store, only to find them 10 dollars cheaper at Target.  These are not on sale.  One was 76028: Darkseid Invasion that should be $69.99 but is 59.99 at Target.  Another is 75084: Wookiee Gunship  69.99 vs. 59.99 at Target.  Is this something that Lego lets certain retailers do as incentive to carry their product?  Sorta like exclusives?  Just curious is anyone has noticed this or knows anything about it.  I'll need to check prices more closely before buying.

Yes. I noticed back when X-Men Vs Sentinels came out, it was $44.99 at some Targets. Also, the new Avengers Quinjet Chase set us $74.99 at some stores so it's 5 bucks cheaper. I think their buyers must be doing an evaluation and deciding that they will sell X amount of more sets if the price is Y. I'm sure they do a good job of tracking their sales.

I'd say it's just always best to know MSRP on any given set you may be interested in. I saw the Darkseid set for 10 cheaper, so I bought it the day it came out (I never do that), but I figured it was new and I had no idea when a sale would happen. Since then, I haven't seen it in my local stores...very odd.

And an extra 5% off with their Red Card.

I noticed a lot of sets have been reduced in price at Target.com as well. I believe the ones you mentioned, and some others as well.  They're proving to be nearly as good as Amazon at discounting lately.

And if they're NOT as good as Amazon, PM it at CS desk then use your Red Card for another 5%.
