    Update:
Ops this is Kili, I thought they were the same person since the design is very similar. I have clearly not seen the movies :P

I'll keep it online because it's well shot, they look very similar, I'm sure most people won't notice :)

@Adzbadboy - you should really consider getting to grips with photoshop to edit out the beams/blue tac that hold them in place

Thats after about one minute editing - your coloured backgrounds make it very easy to do.

Thanks, I've been putting off using Photoshop but your right I could make them much more presentable by removing the trans beam and white tack. I believe I would be using the clone tool to remove them :)

I have a plan to transition to DSLR and a Macro Lens then I can start selling them as prints to purchase. I just wish I had thought of it earlier as my photographs keep getting better and some of these would be great to hang on the wall :/

If you are going to go full on for selling prints etc then I'd recommend learning the full photoshop package, I can use it in an amateur fashion for easy fixes as above, but when I opened that picture I noticed theres a lot of reflection on the face that if you were to try selling it as a high quality print you would probably want to clean up - that level is beyond me and does take a lot of time but makes for a good quality image at the end.

No one is ever born with the innate ability to just do these things, its always learning and progression, there's nothing wrong with revisiting old images and redoing them if you think you can do better.

I like the edit you did to my picture and it's much better than the original.

Yup, I defiantly want to.  I think I would like to revisit some especially the recent ones.

I also need to make a proper set up, I use natural light and the filters on my phone to enhance the photographs but as soon as you zoom in you can see how bad they are. I also need to learn about lighting too.

Not trying to be a jerk, but the perspective on that rear arm doesn't work. I can see the effect you are trying to get but her arm just wouldn't be able to do that. Did you stick her arm to the back of her head?

Have you ever thought of posing your figures in real locations?

I try to do "practical effects" in my LEGO photography rather than relying on digital editing, although I have strategically cropped photos. I find it challenging trying to make the viewer  wonder how I did it. I'm not saying I've done anything spectacular, this is just my thought process when I'm taking photos of minifigures.

I actually haven't done any photography lately. Have to get back out there.

Yup, I did attach the right arm to the back of the hair. Recently I have tried to make my photographs and shots more dynamic like comic book panels and movie scenes. The result of the odd angles and planes is to not make the photographs not look too polite and make them unique. Off centring the arms and other limbs creates the effect of realism and foreshortening that you would see in comic books which is what makes them cool and attractive. I tried creating the same style for my LEGO photographs :)

Yeah I have but I haven't found a good way to do it yet.

Yet I also avoid any editing and it's slightly 'cheating.' Although I need to start soon, as Shib suggested :)
