Which Star Wars minifigs do you want to see (remade) in the future?

wardmwardm Member Posts: 878
The ones that I would like to be (re)made are:

OT: a new Lando (in a new Cloud City, would be nice!), more tuskens!, a new Dengar and Bossk, Mon Mothma

Episode I: when do we finally get Boss Nass?, Schmi and an unfinished C-3PO, some new Kaadu creatures, Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis, Mas Amedda, Finis Valorum

Episode II: we really should be getting some Kaminoans, a couple of extra Jedi are always welcome, some CIS, Banking Clan and Techno Union figs (Lott Dod, Gume Saam, San Hill, Wat Tambor ...), a young Boba, again: Tuskens, Zam Wessel, Madame Jocasta Nu, and please, give us Bail Organa

Episode III: Tion Medon (from Utapau), lots lots lots of jedi!! (really need a remake of Aayla Secura), An idea might be a Wookiee/Kashyyyk set like the UCS Ewok Village (but smaller) and again: Bail Organa!

TCW: Lux Bonteri, Duchess Satine Kryze, Bo-Katan Kryze, Hondo Onnaka, Kalifa, Jinx, O'mer, Rush Clovis, Almec, Mother Talzin, Jedi Padawans (Petro, Katooni, Zatt, Byph, Gungi, Ganodi), Latts Razzi, Moralo Eval, Twazzi, Derrown, Queen Miraj Scintel, Sifo Dyas

Rebels: FULCRUM!! (PLEASE!), again: Bail Organa, Maketh Tua, Cikatro Vizago, Tseebo

Oh and I think it would be cool to see Clone Troopers with different 'hair&beard styles', like in the Clone Wars Series.

At this point, I'm not sure I'd be interested in remakes because of the increasing level of detail. But even so, I'd like to see:

ANH: Captain Antilles, Grand Moff Tarkin, Biggs Darklighter, Wedge Antilles
ESB: Luke Skywalker (Dagobah shirt), Lando Calrissian (Cloud City), Princess Leia (Cloud City), Luke Skywalker (Dagobah/Cloud City jacket)
ROJ: Lando Calrissian (general/Home One), Crix Madine, Luke Skywalker (camo)

I'd much rather see completely new minifigures of Aunt Beru, Ponda Baba, Garindan, Jan Dodonna, a Cloud Car pilot, and an Ugnaught. But those are pretty niche and I'd be surprised to see any of them.

ofcourse, how could I forget: Aunt Beru!!! Garindan would also be a great idea.
An Ugnaught could be very well included in a Cloud City set!

@wardm, as you put it (re)made... Apart from Wedge, the figures I'd want are currently available in sets: Obi-Wan (Clone Wars era), Han, Chewie, Yoda, Mace, Boba. New ones I'd like to see:

    Dark Forces/Jedi Knight:
8t88, Boc, Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors, Jerec, Mara Jade, Sariss, Yun.

    Episodes I-VI
    4-LOM, Zuckuss.

    KOTOR/KOTOR II:
Atton Rand, Bao Dur, Bastila Shan, Brianna, Canderous Ordo/Mandalore, Carth Onassi, Darth Malak, Darth Sion, HK-47, Mission Vao, Sith Troopers, T3-M4, Zaalbar.

    Shadows of the Empire:
Dash Rendar, Guri, Leebo (LE-BO2D9), Prince Xizor.

    The Old Republic:
Darth Vindican, Nico Okarr, Republic Troopers (the Return trailer variant).

I'm a little surprised this year's wave of TPM sets hasn't been used to plug the gaps there, particularly where new molds wouldn't be required necessarily (e.g. Shmi, unfinished C-3PO).

I can see the lack of new molds as presumably most of that budget has gone to the TFA wave, but the lack of new characters which would only require printing is a little baffling.
  • bobabricksbobabricks Member Posts: 1,842
I doubt anymore CW sets are coming out. I do want a Wat Tambor.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
There are so many that need to be done or remade, but that is the Star Wars (Movies) fanatic in me saying that and it probably isn't in Lego's best interest to make them all.

Wuher (The Bartender ) is a great choice, but Lego has made 2 Cantina sets and chose not to include him, especially since the current Cantina has a bar area. Either Lego had a problem with having a Bartender in the set or they "figured" Wuher is not that popular of a character to warrant them making one. He would be pretty easy to cobble one together yourself or even for Lego to make. You wouldn't have to make a new mold, just do the printing.

I'd like a realistic styled clone armor General Kenobi. More Cantina aliens. Realistic Aayla Secura. New SSD bounty hunters.

We definitely need(this coming from an OT SW collector, of course):  Aunt Beru, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, Garindan, Momaw Nadon(they have the Ithorian head, why not?), the rest of Max Rebo's band, Ponda Baba, Dr. Evazan

There we go, do a small Cantina Alien set with Dr. Evazan, Ponda Baba, Momaw Nadon, and Garindan.

And a small Jabba's Palace set with more band members(Sy Snootles, the clarinet player(can't remember his name), the Quarren(can't remember his name either), and Yakface.

We need a new Endor Luke, Dagobah Luke, and Bespin Luke.  We also need a Bespin Leia, Ugnaught, Lando Calrissian, Cloud Car Pilot, Imperial Dignitary, OLD Anakin Skywalker(A Endor Ghost set........I would buy immediately).

I'm sure I could think of more.

@Goldchains I could see Jedi ghost minifigures being released these days more then ever because of the transparent minifigure pieces Lego is releasing.

@Goldchains - The clarinet player is called Droopy McCool I believe. I have to assume that by that point George was just welding words together and calling it a name.

Poor 4-LOM & Zuckuss, the only bounty hunters that Vader hired that have not gotten their own minifigures... & my two favourites after Boba.

I'll join the 4-LOM & Zuckuss love, it was a shame they weren't included in the SSD set, and I'd agree with @wardm we could do with a revised Zam Wesell; also I hadn't thought of it myself, but now that people have mentioned it, Aunt Beru would be a nice add to the Tatooine shelf.  (Although come to think of it, there are plenty of Lego skeleton figures... oh don't say 'too soon', it was "a long time ago".)

But really, it comes down to one name: the man, the legend, that is Willrow Hood.

Not a minifigure either, but a Geonosis battle arena. Buying multiple copies would make an enormous scene.

  • GoldchainsGoldchains Member Posts: 795
Truly a Cloud City is loonnnggg Overdue. Lord knows we've had numerous rehashes of the Hoth Base(and another later this year apparently), why can't Bespin get some love?
  • VorpalRyuVorpalRyu Member Posts: 2,318
On the topic of sets, I have to say, sets to do with Yavin IV or Dagobah would be right up there with Cloud City. For Yavin, the briefing room & the hangar bay if done right could be good sets, as for Dagobah, Yoda's hut with the cavern would be a good idea...

I am really surprised we haven't gotten another Cloud City. They spent half the movie in Bespin. So many great things happened while they were there.
  • TarDomoTarDomo Member Posts: 515
@Adzbadboy I agree. I´ve been waiting for those sets since I started collecting lego. Now after almost 10 years of waiting, I finally decided to make my own MOCs. I´ve started with the Droid Factory but some Kamino stuff has been in my mind for a long time as well.

If you look through the entire line of Star Wars sets over the past five to six years, you'll find very few minifigure-scale sets that don't include a vehicle (or a big gun in the case of battle packs): Jabba's Palace, Rancor Pit, and the upcoming Final Duel.

So it's not so surprising when you consider most of what happened at Cloud City involved no vehicles. Dagobah has the same problem. I suspect this is why we've seen so much from Hoth.

  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
^This is true, but Lego desperately needs to remake the Twin Pod Cloud Car in orange and can include it in the set.

You are definitely wrong about Cloud City not having any vehicles. The MF, Slave 1, Twin Pod Cloud Car, X-Wing, Tie Fighters. Unfortunately, they all have their own sets, but a TPCC would be awesome.

I'm almost 44 years old and I saw Star Wars Episodes 4-6 as a child.

    Episode 4:
Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru played an important part in the Star Wars saga. Regardless of how much screen time they got (Boba Fett had less) Beru needs to be made somehow. The moisture farm with the Lars Family Speeder with Biggs, Luke and Uncle Owen. The Biggs and Luke figures would be from the scene they didn't put into the movie.

As horrifying as seeing Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen burnt to a crisp, I was too young to understand what I was seeing. The Cantina scene is my most memorable scene in EP 1. Everything that was going on in there made my head spin, especially because I was into monsters back then. When Ben Kenobi cut off Ponda Baba's arm I nearly freaked!!! If Lego can make the Greedo/ Han confrontation, they certainly can make a Dr. Evazan, Ponda Baba, Ben Kenobi set with another part of the Cantina and throw in Momaw Nadon as well.

I didn't say Cloud City had no vehicles, I said most of what happened there involved no vehicles. Except for the Falcon's rescue of Luke, the vehicles are mostly irrelevant to the action that takes place there.

I suppose I can imagine a "Cloud City" set with nothing but buildings, landing pads, and micro-scale Cloud Cars, TIEs, Slave I, and the MF. But I assume when people call for a remake of Cloud City they're referring to e.g. the carbon freezing chamber, dining room, prison cell, reactor shaft, etc.. The action that happens in those locations doesn't involve vehicles and it would be tough to shoe-horn one in.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
^Ok, fair enough, but the MF got shot at by a TPCC upon arrival. I thought when they were putting Han in Carbonite into Slave 1 was classic. You are right, there wasn't that much interaction, but does there need to be? Are there any system scale vehicles that come with the Death Star? Cloud City is round as well. I can picture the same sort of playset as the Death Star.

How about Gungans like the underwater looking place? Lol there must be a name for it.

@binaryeye, all very true - I feel there'd be a shot though, using Final Dual (as you mention) and the very similar Palpatine's office as a model; I've been mentally toying with the notion since I saw Cloud City mentioned.  If they're willing to make Anakin's... sky-commuter car or whatever that thing was, the Cloud Car is a shoe-in: it's far more recognisable, even with its very limited screen time.  A conservative build of that - two lie-down cockpits (since it's the last such thing I looked at, the teensy jet in the old Agents volcano lair is as big as each would need to be, minus the wings and engines) with a brick between them, that's the vehicle taken care of.

Landing pad for that a la Palpatine's office, the little 'foyer' area in white with one of those white sculpture-things, the primary area it connects to is the carbon freeze chamber (maybe a little technic arrangement, free-standing or attached to the 'foyer' door, to give you something overhead to attach the odds and ends Luke force-jumps up into out of the freezing pit), stairways up to the surrounding balcony, and a little gantry off one of those leading to the thing Luke falls off at the end.

The only quibble I can see is that the carbon freeze chamber has to be the main floor of the set (I can't imagine it any other way, really), and that's got to be raised to give room for at least a minifigure-height freezing pit, which in turn makes the surrounding balcony even higher; you'd be looking at a couple of dozen parts just as a kind of support scaffold to hold the whole thing up.  Still, with a bit of ingenuity I think it could be done.

    Here's My List lol:

Episode 1: Definitely Boss Nass, how does Wald get a minifig before him. Other new gungan stuff. Some updates on the other pod racers. Shmi Skywalker. Padme's handmaidens. I know it would be expensive but would like to see that all chrome space ship they use.

Episode 2: New Zam Wesell, Captain Typho. Jar Jar in senator clothes, other senators. Kamino People. Wat Tambor. That big blue guy who's always following Palpatine around. The guy that Obi-Wan knows at the diner. The three creatures that they have to fight in the Geonosian arena would be cool.

Episode 3: Some of the other separatist leaders. Utapau Aliens.

Clone Wars: Jocasta, other jedis we haven't gotten yet. Zillo beast would be cool. Underwater Droids, other separatist leaders, like that shark guy and the spider lol. Commander Bly, Fives

Original Trilogy: New Wedge and Biggs. 4-Lom and Zukuss. Other new alien species from cantina scene.

Expanded: Would love to see more characters from the Old Republic era. And a Darth Talon too.

Just so many... keep them coming LEGO :)
