Bricklinking #10210 Imperial Flagship

HangedSanchezHangedSanchez Member Posts: 310
Evening!

I'm considering this as my next project after sorting out my display space. (Or lack of...)

I was just wondering if anyone had tried it, and had any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

I bought 40lb of lego and this set was thrown in there from the deck down.  Missing the sails but the majority of the ship should be present.  I could be tempted to dig through all of the pieces and pull out all of the rare stuff for you.

Same as brick linking any set. If you part out the set on bricklink without actually completing the addition, then you can search for the expensive parts. If they cannot be found or are too expensive, then give up before starting.

A quick check of the BS data base revels that the IF doesn't have too many rare parts. Other than minifigs, the only parts truly unique to the set are #6108 (1x12x3 tan arch) and the sails. After that, the boat hull pieces are not too common.

I don't think it's an issue outside of the rigging, sails, minifigures and other unique pieces to the set I.E. The flag and so forth.

If you end up doing if let us know how it turns out!

The lower masts seem to be the most problematic, you need 6 reddish brown and there's only 12 available on bricklink priced from £18 to £32. Not available from bricks and pieces either.

In black they're a couple of pence.

I missed the lower masts when browsing the pieces. Oops. I suspect a piece substitution may be called for, at least in the short term.... I'm sill debating as to whether to include the minifigs as well, I may fill in with ones from the new Pirates range.

thanks for your comments, and I have PM'd you @OUWxGuesser.

Remember! You can build the set and it will be complete and look great. But will you actually own it?

Also a possibility that a new flagship will be produced now that the theme is back.

I doubt it, this is probably another few set limited run...

^ I do believe this is a one off run. I don't think the run will last years either a year or two perhaps.
