Are the coupons from the 2015 calendar hard to redeem?

juddtaylorjuddtaylor Member Posts: 27
I just finally got a calendar from a [email protected] purchase at home, and I'm trying to figure out if I can redeem the Feb coupon for the Han Solo minifig so late in the month.

It says "while supplies last". So does this mean it's something you need to redeem Feb 1, or should it be no issue?

I live close to 2 different lego stores in the area, but either is like a 30 minute drive for me.

Also, I live like 10 minutes from a discovery center. But that's a different company, right? So they don't deal with these coupons?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't found them hard to redeem, though this far in the month they may be out of the figure. They seemed to have left overs from the January promotion, but it will surely differ from place to place. Merlin runs the discovery centers so you can't redeem it there.

Best bet is to call the individual store and ask before making the trip

The hoth Han is the only one that has a chance of running out.  You should see if they will let you redeem the January coupon too.  When I went in to redeem my hoth Han coupon, they were actually just handing out the lego employee figure to just anyone in the store.  At least you won't have to worry about the march freebie running out.

Is the March one just one minifigure or a three pack? It seems unclear on the coupon. It sounds like one but could mean one pack.

Had no trouble redeeming Hoth Han on Friday in Indy. The fig isn't a new one so demand isn't neccesarily as high as it would be for an original/exclusive release.

I'm pretty sure it is only one.

I asked about this on Thursday at the San Diego (Fashion Valley) store and was told it was just a single figure.

It's alright for some! The UK calendar has one voucher for the year...

(cue comments from countries that didn't get the calendar at all!)

Germany also only had one voucher for a Minifig in February, nothing else for the rest of the year. And that Minifig was the Lego Store employee, not Han...

I redeemed January on 1/31 and February on 2/28.  Both without any issue.

In January an employee let me use 2 coupons at once because the quantity of polybags they had was so large.

My son just redeemed the hoth coupon today.  Guess they have plenty left.  Wonder if they will just give away e left overs tomorrow like they did with the lego store employee figure.

I got hoth today too, no issues

Redeemed today, they had enough to ask if I had any more coupons so I redeem others to get another one

Yesterday I was able to redeem both jan and feb coupons. I think Mar is BAM (3 figs).

3 figs would be awesome, especially since I have 2 coupons. I've always wanted to get one of those custom minifig packs but they have always been too steep in price.

Belgium also had just 1 for feb...

Well it the US they work out to be roughly 3.33 per figure and you get an accessory. Sometimes they actually do have sought after parts (The LEGO store where I go has the pie pieces and chains, which are not too cheap), and things like ghost bodies as well, sometimes they have the torsos and wedges for the female ladies/queens as well (I think now they have the tattered dress wedge from MF for Ms Dracula). The LDC I go to has a Build a fig (coupons will not work there) where they apparently dump old packs of CMFs int the bin as many figures are from a past few series. It was real nice when LEGO stores had series 1 clowns and cheerleaders in the bins, but that was a long time ago (I believe when series 3 was released).

All in all, I think if someone is willing to buy a CMF that is 3.99 USD, they should have no issues buying a few of these guys (sadly I believe they are about the same quality of figs as CMFs as I believe both are made in China). What is a pain is having to build figures with a bunch of kids trying to build figs as well, y'know, like this was actually meant for them or something :-p

Boba, you should've grabbed a few build a mini packs in Billund. It worked out to US$2 per fig, I believe. That was the only time I've done it.

Anyone have any confirmation on whether you get one 3-pk or just one figure with the coupon?
  • bobabricksbobabricks Member Posts: 1,842
I live in Canada so they charge $13 for one of those packs. @minicoopers11 I do want to go do Billund some day so it's good to know they are that cheap there.

Its a real good question. I believe it is 1 pack of 3 figures. But I have heard other where the store may have told them it is 1 figure, so best to check with your store first.

Oops, sorry boba, I got you confused with a vancoverite that went on the inside tour.
  • dannyrwwdannyrww Member Posts: 1,394
It was one figure...but since they gave me a bionicle pack and an elves poly it was hard to complain. My daughter has been itching to make a doctor and she did so we were all happy.

Ah makes sense, was wondering why you assumed I've been to Billund. :P

I went to my local Lego store today (Oakridge mall) to pick up the two Ferrari cars. I got 1 one minifig with the coupon, I also got a Bionicle poly but I'm leavig it sealed as the parts have no use to me.

It's just 1 Mini figure :( for the March coupon.

I stopped by the Lego store today and asked the first employee I saw whether it was one minifigure or one pack of 3 minifigures. They told me it was one minifigure, so I did my shopping and built one minifigure. Upon checking out, a different employee told me it was one pack of 3 minifigures, so I went and put together two more figures and went on my way. Results will vary from store to store and apparently from employee to employee.

I was told 1 figure today in the Charlotte NC store. Did walk out with all three freebies on a $20 purchase, so I suppose I can't complain.

I was told by my local Lego store, it was 1 mini figure. They also would only let me have 1 freebie. I got the Elves poly. I thought it was strange that they are now limiting it to one freebie considering I was buying 2 things. Plus, they didn't give us the lego club magazine or the April calendar even though they usually do and I was there with both my boys. Hmmm very strange...

I believe the intent of the coupon was for ONE mini figure, not one pack of three mini figures.

Ran in to this as well with the friends giveaway at the same time as the flower cart I think it was. Bought a friends set and enough to get over 75, but they only allowed one or the other as the freebee, but you can make another purchase usually and get the other. Silly, but hat is way LEGO corporate apparently wants it

The freebie policy still varies. Guess we can continue to count on it being consistently inconsistent.

The coupon rings up as -3.99 on your order... I had a 3 pack and an extra. I guess $4 is the price if you only buy a single one otherwise.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,333
@madforLEGO : I was told that even if I split up my purchase, I could only do one. It was one freebie per household per day.

Well @minicoopers11 said it perfectly I think. Consistently inconsistent

Will they still accept the January and February coupons?

If they still have them available I would think so, depends on the person you speak to

Those in the northern va area, Tyrons still has the hoth Han. In fact, they were giving them away with purchase.
