I was disappointed that it was only two of them, but I guess we were kind of lucky to begin with?
Expected to arrive Feb. 17.
The items are all showing in stock including the Avengers tower which was out of stock yesterday.
TRU has a long history of ignoring Lego's release dates. Target recently joined the party by releasing the Frozen castle before January 1st. Some, but not all of their stores, anyway. Amazon did it with the Minecraft sets, ignoring the official release date, then taking their ads down, just as they have done with the March 2015 sets. My guess is that AMZN plays dumb, sells them early, then Lego calls and reminds them they are not supposed to sell them until March 1st, and so AMZN cooperates, removes the ads, and then respects the official release date.
Oh, and to add one final wrinkle, Lego themselves have violated their own official release dates, announcing an early release of a few sets, but it's uncommon. And a bad idea, I think.
How would you feel if you went to a store for new sets, on the official release date, and the set you had eagerly awaited was already out of stock, due to an early release that you didn't know about?
Oddly enough, you can't access the listings on the amazon site or the iPhone app... Just the ipad app. Just a head's up for those who want some of the sets early.
